Lots of people, myself included, do it outside of the thread, on sc, gets kind of convoluted in the thread and sometimes I fall asleep and it's dead when I wake up (which is fine, archive exists, but for response).
most of this stuff is boring crap anyway, not hard to believe there isn't anything to rec. step your beats up nerd
hey guys
ive been working on this album for a long time (like way too fuckin long) and i released a couple singles from it leading up to its release, this is one of them.
still busting my ass on the album and idk when it'll be done but i'd really appreciate anyone checking it out and would appreciate any critique, especially on the mix.

why aren't you generalizing them too?
it's ya boi, just listening to your things
i have definitely stumbled across your soundcloud before and heard your work. i find it very creative, i really like the way you choose to process your vocals. i definitely think that there are some things you could do to make your mixes sound a bit more cohesive at times, but it all sounds very unbridled and pure which is something i like a lot, it sounds really inspired from a writing perspective. this is probably the most worthless critique of all time but i'm kinda sick and my brain is really foggy, but i dig what you are doing, i love the energy behind it all, and i hope you continue doing it. and good luck with your LP!
i would definitely call this experimental and psychedelic pop or something. idk fuck genres. i really like this track though. that high hat sounds a little too tinny and high for the mix, to the point where it sorta takes me out of it, but any mixing critique i give out is typically just personal preference, so do whatever you want with that really. and damn, when the acoustic guitar comes in around 1:30, that's just a beautiful choice you made. it sounds super super nice. maybe turn down the wobbles a tiny bit to sit a little better in the mix as well. either way, i love this a lot. sounds like a song that must've been a lot of fun to write. great stuff here my dude.

Love the airiness to your music. The fluttering pads are dope. You use your effects and filters very nicely and it fits which is even better. Followed.
I'm not gonna lie, your Nirvana cover is rough. But, I guess it embodies your philosophy.
Gasoline has a nice vibe to it. I Wanna See the Fire has a very good amount of potential to it. All your music does. It just needs to be tightened and cleaned, regardless of how sloppy you want to play it. But, I'm already following you, so keep writing shit.
You beats are just dope. Blurred Memories is lazy but its bouncy. Fuckin' tight.
Commander of Space is completely not my style, but for what it is, it has all the elements. It has a nice melody behind those wah wahs. I enjoyed it.
Gangster af. Moved along nicely.
I'm workin' on the rest of you in a bit. Lots of good shit in this thread.

Your shit flows. I like it. Honestly, tone down the vocals. If you could blend those better, your tracks would sound so much better. The beats are awesome. Match the vocals.
As much as I love glitchy hi hats, this is a bit much for me. Don't get me wrong, it works, I just personally would have done something different.
The song is excellent, as a whole. I love it. Layered well, and every part works together.
Will try to use a different approach to making more music

Fuck. I feel so bad for saying this. Your beats are insane. If you take the second to look past the corny ass sounds you use, lol, you could see that you have good song structure. I've listened to three songs so far, and everything works. Nothing is as it shouldn't be. I'm jealous of that for sure. Keep writing homie.
I don't even like this style. But for some reason it invokes something. Its got so much depth. Pic related is literally me listening to "Tomb."

what synths do you use? what daw?
If this could get cleaned up a bit, you'd have a hit, bro. I appreciate the delivery on the adlibs too. They don't conflict. Already, following, bro. Good shit.
I haven't heard instrumental trap in a good bit. Fucking love it. Those drops are fun and unique. Fuck yeah, bud.
I appreciate your effort. The song you created doesn't sound terrible. The beat isn't bad. But I wouldn't cheat with the delay on the hats. Basically, you can do that by changing velocities, and then you don't have to deal with a plugin.
This shit is so different from what I listen to, so its hard to judge. Shit sounds good though. 3/0 is bomb. I just want to step on shit when I hear it.
You have great ideas, but lack direction. Your songs seem to go nowhere, or somehow are not focused.
Don't get me wrong, your production and library sound great, but I just feel like if you had a vision of the progression of your music, it would take it to a new level.
Complexus is fun by the way. Groovy.
Already following. Your music is dope.
This song is fucking cool. I like it. Happy and bouncy. Just reposted you. Absolutely deserving.
Damn dude, this is nice. I can hear the time spent on it. For real, I could definitely see this being used commercially. Not even just ads or whatever, but TV show theme songs.
I hate falsetto as a main theme as a whole. Obviously it works for certain genres, and it totally fits here. Diggin it dude.
That's so reminiscent and so hard at the same time. Love the arp. That progression is fucking killer too.
That made me sad. So intense and beautiful. It's almost redemptive, and regretful at the same time. I love it.
Very well produced. It lacked something for me. Nothing major, just a small part maybe.
Your alternative rocks songs have way too much hip hop influence. Its basically just a trap beat over some guitar. That being said, I won't leave dyou with only negative feedback. "I Think I'm Bleeding" has a bad ass melody and it flows.
Coming to Terms is a country song if I ever heard one.
You write decent music. You have the outline down. Fill in the blanks. Layers do so much for a song.

I'd love some feedback on these mixes:
soundcloud.com
i liked:
The songwriting and arrangements are good but the production of the song is a little bit messy. I know it's suppose to be like this but you have to find the balance between the lo-fi\psychedelic sound and something more cleare and easy to listen, specially with the voice. Overall it's a good song.
This is good, it's a shame for the sound that is a bit low. There are some strong reference to Jonny Greenwood, Michael Gordon and Béla Bartók. It would have been nice to hear a larger orchestration of this piece played by a larger ensemble. Nice composition, keep it up.
A blend of very various genres. The really noisy bass line, the hip hop/trap style beat, jazzy chords here and there, and the vocals that reminds me a lot of Julian Casablancas. The real flaws with this track is that it's too flat and there are not changes, specially in the bridge section of the song. A chords change would have been nice or maybe some other sounds. My advice is to step back when you are writing and producing your song, start with something simple but strong that you really like find a structure for the song and than go crazy with sounds and references to other genres of music. What are you trying to do it's not simple, keep practice.
This is some really dark shit. Very experimental, very noisy, very dark. There not much else to say if you like really noisy dark ambient check this thing out.
