>William Wisher stated that as much as you were shocked that the T-800 in Terminator 2 was good from being a bad Terminator in the first picture, you will be even more shocked at how Arnold will return in the next movies if Hollywood takes on his scripts. >William Wisher Jr. the co-writer of The Terminator (1984) and Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) has written script treatments for Terminator 5 & 6 >By: TheTerminatorFans.com On November 23rd, 2010 theterminatorfans.com/william-wisher-terminator-5-6-script-treatments/
He actually wrote up a 24 page script treatment according to Deadline which accommodated the storyline of Terminator 3 Rise of the Machines and Terminator Salvation. >More importantly he would base Terminator 5 and 6 in the midst of the war >Wisher’s take on Terminator 5 not only had Linda Hamilton returning but it also had a role for Arnold Schwarzenegger that Deadline calls as shocking as Arnold’s twist from villain in Terminator 1 to hero in Terminator 2. >As far as the potential new Terminators in Terminator 5 go two notable ones included Night Crawlers which are 4 1/2 foot tall border guards that spring up out of the ground like anti personnel mines and fire 10mm rounds from their hands. The second set of new Terminators that appeared in Wisher’s script were shape-shifting cyborgs similar to the T-1000 poly alloy liquid metal terminator only now they can morph together forming much larger single terminators. >Herner Klenthur January 27, 2013 horror-movies.ca/terminator-5-6-plot-william-wisher/
>We're admit it; we're unconvinced that turning the clock back to a story that's already been finished in T3 is the way to move forward (although ignoring Salvation's doom and gloom entirely is probably a good idea, as is returning to the fact that Terminator is really all about time travel). Considering the multiple timelines and continuities already involved with the franchise, we'd much rather see a new movie that went for a Star Trek-style reboot and started all over from scratch. Where's JJ Abrams when you need him? >Graeme McMillan 2/12/10 3:36pm· Filed to: REBOOTERY >io9
You got your wish, Graeme.
Cameron Hall
I hope not. Part of what made the first two movies work was that you barely knew about the future war because they were all about stopping an event so horrible you can barely picture it outside of a few pieces you gained from incredibly short flashback sequences.
Ian Wright
kek please kill linda hamilton before this shoots. thank you kek amen.
Jonathan Davis
It's clear whatever Wisher wanted to do with the movies isn't going to happen. Arny's getting too old and people aren't that interested in Terminator unless they're Chinese, I guess.
I just want to know what else he had in mind.
Bentley Allen
Silly user. We can CG people back from the dead now.
Aaron Hernandez
Yeah, but T2 showed a good bit more of it than T1 did, and it only made me want to see more of it.
The original T2 script had like a half-hour of Future War before they sent Reese and the Terminator back through time. I didn't like how Genisys plundered it to help launch their smarmy shitshow of a reboot; it just wasn't as good without Cameron's direction and Fiedel's sound; and with what movies and tech Cameron likes playing with now, I doubt he even he could make a good Terminator sequel, or reboot. Still, it'd probably be better than what we've gotten.
>Also fresh off the Skynet assembly line are new shape-shifting cyborgs that can morph together in Transformers-like mode, and are more lethal than anything we’ve seen in previous Terminator installments.
>Transformers-like >Transformers 2 came out in 2010
I don't want to be gratuitously pessimistic, but that doesn't sound like it would've been too good.
Asher Mitchell
>Is Terminator the Sonic of movies? yes
Christian Mitchell
Gotta melt fast
Brayden Collins
So who's going to see T2 in 3D?
Jackson Perry
>tfw Arnold will probably die in a few years All of that steroids can't be good for his heart.
Jaxon Rogers
I think the big twist is Arnold playing the man the t800 is modeled after or something, that'd be pretty cool actually
Dylan Carter
He can't still be doing them, can he?
Who would you cast as the New Terminator®? I prefer Dwayne.
Ian Parker
That would be pretty refreshing, actually.
Almost as refreshing as seeing Michael Biehn in movies again.
Camden Hall
Does he deserve a second chance?
Andrew Bennett
Wasn't Genisys Terminator 5?
Jack Lewis
T3 should've been about John Connor in the war. End the movie when he sends Kyle Reese back. Boom, story and cycle done.
Yeah, but they're doing that thing where numbers don't matter anymore and it's all about subtitled. Terminator: Rise of The Machines. Terminator: Salvation. Terminator: Genisys. Terminator: Requiem Revolution, etc
Ayden Johnson
Or just have literally a different actor play a t800.
They did it in the first movie, the T800 that infiltrated the TechCom base in the flashback was a bodybuilder who was friends with Arnold. Terminator become a lot scarier if they don't all look alike, if the only clue is big guys.
Adam Turner
My mistake didn't really read the thread.
Grayson Martinez
>Terminator become a lot scarier if they don't all look alike, if the only clue is big guys.
Ethan Thompson
See
Dominic Rodriguez
No, because Sonic has always been shit.
Isaiah Nelson
>he didn't have a Genesis growing up
James Martinez
Well, they don't need to be big guys.
Brandon Sanchez
It will be rebooted within 10 years. The last terminator made a lot of bank overseas too.
There's enough to keep studios trying yet again.
Alexander Thompson
What would it take to just get a moody movie about the birth of Skynet in the heart of SAC NORAD inside Cheyenne Mt? I know Terminator 3 did that, but I'd rather a movie that focuses exclusively on that and nothing else, and what immediately went down after Skynet became self-aware and shortly after it launched nukes.
There's a scary, heady techno-horror movie in there somewhere.
Brandon Powell
soon
Gavin Torres
Why would I? That's like owning an xbox today.
Ryder Murphy
Actually Mads would make a convincing emotionless killing machine. Speaking of Mads, is Kojima even making games at this point or is he just jerking off different celebs.
Joshua Mitchell
Heck I liked the whole diesel punk feel of the 4th one and even the over the top shit of 5, just call them something else not terminator
Thomas Fisher
There was a series of novels where that was the case and he ended up teaming up with Sarah and John to take down an anti-tech terrorist organization responsible for inadvertently activating the defunct Skynet project after the events of T2. Too bad it's out of print now.
Logan Cox
Possible. He reminds me a lot much of Fassbender and Viggo Mortensen, so he never screamed "Terminator" to me, but then Robert Patrick played an amazing new Terminator, so who knows.
I've only seen Mads in Dr. Strange and Rogue One. Any others I should see to get a better feel for him?
>diesel punk
Fury Road already won that contest.
Daniel Edwards
>Fans are excited about the return of William Wisher and his scripts, the writers of Terminator 3 and Salvation are not welcomed by fans any longer and the fact that they were allowed to write a fourth movie remains to be an insult.
Hard Autism.
Noah James
TheTerminatorFans.com is in desperate need of an editor.
Ryder Green
>I've only seen Mads in Dr. Strange and Rogue One. Any others I should see to get a better feel for him? Valhalla Rising Casino Royale Hannibal
Isaiah Sanchez
for all of you too stupid to "get" it. this new timeline is one in which sarah connor doesn't give birth to john connor and ends up surviving judgement day herself. in this tie ARNOLD is john connor. all t800 are based on this time line's john connor.
Justin Morris
>this new timeline
Kek >Terminator 6 removed from release schedule >Emilia Clarke not returning as Sarah Connor >Jai Courtney's indifferent >Only Arnold is certain, though he hasn't said anything lately
The twist is that the new timeline ended up getting deleted
Jason Lee
? i'm not sure what you're implying. these two movies have nothing to do with genisys other than the established idea of MANY alternate branching timelines. its two standalone sequels picking up at some point in some way after t2. did you not read the op? linda hamilton is returning.
Wyatt Johnson
It sounded more like you were talking about Genisys actually. My mistake.
Lincoln Wright
>Cameron's vision of the Skynet facility and time displacement apparatus: on a scale that put Forbidden Planet to shame >Genesis's vision of the Skynet facility and time displacement apparatus: about the size of a living room will do
Matthew Sullivan
Be careful what you wish for. This is easily the worst movie I've seen in years, and pretty much all I watch is trashy horror movies. Even William Forsythe with a spic accent couldn't save this piece of shit.
The sad thing was that it wasn't just Biehn picking up a quick check; iirc from the credits it was his fucking production company. Just God awful.
Jonathan Bell
>iirc from the credits it was his fucking production company Yeah, that's right. I don't remember the name but I think he co-owns it with his wife.
Josiah Ward
There already was a fifth terminator film op.
How old is your article?
Aaron Moore
6 years. Point is he's interested in Wisher's treatments, which wasn't what we got with Genisys.
Dominic Gray
Did you watch it? Christ. What was up with that chainsaw scene? Really sad because Terminator and Aliens are probably both in my top 10 ( top 20 for sure). Forsythe's been in some great movies too (Extreme Prejudice, Things to do in Denver, etc.). Had high hopes for this and it was legitimately one of the worst movies I've ever seen, and I watch some pretty awful shit.
Sometimes a movie can be so bad it's good. This movie was just depressingly horrible.
Kayden Williams
This and Joe Rogan as the hero that saves * Connor.
I'm not even a fan of boxing type sports but the fight scenes would be excellent.
