Maybe he's right...

Wow this really made me think...

How many shekels did you get to post this?

Inb4 machine guns were able available in the 18th century

Bait thread from hell.

What is the Puckle Gun, Pepperbox Flintlocks, Giradoni Air Rifle that Jefferson Owned. Forefathers knew weapons tech would evolve. That's why they said Arms, NOT Muskets.

>actor and comedian

wew, rly maked u thunk.

And cannons then I guess

Semi-automatic weapons literally existed at the time the declaration was signed. All you "muh muskets" faggots can go hang.

The issue is the same thing as the first amendment.

Personally, I think everyone should be able to own any non-automatic pistol, shotgun or hunting rifle, for home protection, hunting, and self-protection (I know people with a holstered gun in their car because they drive through rough neighborhoods regularly for work).

However, like the first amendment, once you start putting limitations on things, you do not know where they will stop. Yes, yelling fire is illegal. However, porn is not, even if they tried to make it illegal in the 70s. Hate speech is not illegal as long as it is not inciting violence at a specific group of people, and inciting violence isn't a first amendment violation anyway, it's assault in most cases (Yelling for someone to kick someone else's ass is assault). The difference between "Niggers need to go back to Africa." and "Kill All Niggers and Mudslimes." is thin but valid. Freedom of speech means ideas which people do not like get to be spoken in Public Forums, no matter what the safe space faggots and Islam defending feminists say.

Once they start amending things to ONLY ban AR-15s, what stops them from going full UK and banning knives? I have the right to protect myself and my property at all times. And I will defend that even if it means having people with submachine guns around.

not an argument

Goddamn fudds trying to ruin our fun.

Does that mean I get cannons?

He is going to get shot with a Musket

I'm sure if I placed a cannon loaded with grapeshot or canister on the back of a truck bed, it'd be easy to kill more than 50 people in 1 shot.

Fire it into a crowd somewhere, like a gay pride march, maybe even mount 2 cannons on the truck, two shots in two seconds.

If we restrict the 2A to muskets then does that mean the 1A gets restricted to antique printing presses?

Haha, just kidding.
>implying the media isn't censored and controlled already

We had actual rifles with rifled barrels wjen we were fighting the british.

>but only the same arms that our country's forefathers bore in the 18th century.
>literally the deadliest weapon a man can use against another man

He is right
Our military shouldn't be using anything other than muskets

Bullshit. Nick Offerman keeps a sawed off at his desk

maybe hes just an actor...

>Personally, I think everyone should be able to own any non-automatic pistol, shotgun or hunting rifle, for home protection, hunting, and self-protection

The 2nd amendment isn't about hunting or home/self protection.

>yfw hand crank gatling guns make a glorious return to the private market

Plus think how deadly a cannon could be made with modern engineering.

A railgun is pretty much just a modern cannon?

If we revert our constitution back to the time period it was written in, the 13th amendment would not be a thing.

So I for one am in support of this regression

>I only apply this view of the constitution when it's convenient for me

Mfw they start selling full auto assault muskets

By the same logic, 1st amendment only applies to quills.
STFU & 1 post by this ID & SAGE

Okay great.

I also then want the ability to store an unlimited amount of gun powder on my property, and also the demand the ability to own and operate cannons.

SHALL

Two posts now.

wow really makes you think

Yes because anything a civilian can purchase could stand up to the government with their tanks and planes and shit.

Besides, martial law would be a terrible idea for those in power. Right now both sides have enough hot button issues that they can exercise all the control they need by pointing at something scary and yelling the right scary words.

I was going to post something snarky, but then I really got to thinking.

I know. I disagree with the founding fathers on the idea of well-regulated militias made by the people. We have a new words for those, Mobs, Riots, though obviously well-regulated doesn't really apply. The founding fathers were very much against the idea of a large standing army controlled by the federal government. In Article II, section 2, the president is designated as the commander in chief of the Army and Navy, but cannot make wars without the approval of the Senate. Congress was given the power to create and Army and Navy in Article one, but not for more than two years. The people were going to be the main armed forces of the United States, able to have arms at any time.

If the founding fathers had instead created a standing, permanent armed forces and navy, the 2nd amendment likely wouldn't exist. However, I still believe it should, for home/self protection, as I outlined.

The Constitution is a document that enumerates self-evident rights. My rights don't come from the document itself, but are in fact self-evident.
If the document can't enumerate my rights, it's not my rights that are in question, but the efficacy of the document in question.

I guess what I'm saying is, the first two facilities that should be targeted would be DFAS Kansas and the Pentagon.

Doesnt Caetano v Massachusets settle this?

I see why he's a comedian, this is a joke

>I guess the first amendment doesn't apply to computers, Islam, Church of Satan, Women, Blacks, ect.

>Nick Cuckerman
>Literally the biggest manjina that somehow plays "manly" roles on TV

I guess the first amendment only applies to telegrams

Saged but the bait was too tempting

>telegram
>1700's

The 'arms' of the 2nd Amendment included frigates armed to the tits with cannon and mortars, the nuclear weapons of that age.

Retards.

Into the trash it goes
