I actually have the paper sleeve version but I want this bad boy so very badly.

>that guy on reddit who got a copy of all lights fucked and decided not to upload it because he wanted "permission from the label" and because of internet people being mean

>tfw you’ll never hear it

Only "rare" thing i have is this:
discogs.com/Brand-New-Science-Fiction/release/10719190
I don't have a cool number though so I don't know how much I could get for it (not that I intend on selling it anyway unless i'm 100% broke later in life)

wonder if he still has it

This

Link to story?

>copies of this have sold for over $2000

Holy shit, what did you pay?

>Various artists tribute album
worth absolutely nothing

...

youtube.com/watch?v=vRIHNgwH0PE and the song he uploaded

HOLY SHIT I'M SO FUCKING ANGRY
This is like that time that fucking redditor gave his rare starcraft CD to blizzard

Wish they hadn't advertised the vinyl as 'very limited' because it was obviously a run in the thousands. It's a lovely package, but feels a bit cheap to have said it was limited when it very clearly isn't.

Jesus fucking christ. That fucking cunt. Why couldn't it have ended up in the hands of literally anyone else?

why hasn't skrelli bought it off him

But Constellation does at least have this saved, right? It's not like we'll be hearing this any time soon but it's at least not "lost", right?

It's a grail, I didn't say it was worth anything.

story?

I know >plebbit but here's the story

Why is this so rare?

not OP but jack goldstein was more known as a performance artist/painter, and according to discogs only ~50 sets were released.

that sounds pretty bad tobeh

Listening to this right now, I like the loops, I'm not sure if I want to listen to this for 14 mins though, or that it would make good background music. I like the dynamics of the side B though, that's definitely better than the first side.

Its honestly probably some boring math rock/indie crap and theyre doing us a favor.

casketjack is a cunt
the guy knew obviously how to rip and share the cassette
he did this thread on purpose, to brag about his possession
seriously who could be dumb enough to ask reddit what to do with that material?
The angry replier draw an end to the joke, thanks to him.

No joke this looks rad as fuck. Would buy.

This is missing that one 14 year old that him off by threatening to rape his kids and family

OP doesn't have it, dipshit. It's literally the same picture as the first one on its discogs page.

if i tell you faggots what it is, you'll just drive the price up

nice try

This would be a beautiful record to own. I own Red Face of God, but it's a bit less rare.

discogs.com/Current-93-With-The-Black-And-Red-Menstrual-Show-Christ-And-The-Pale-Queens-Mighty-In-Sorrow/master/21939

Reminds me of that guy who found that unreleased Sufjan Stevens album in the garbage, but he leaked it.

"Slowly" by Joseph Ronald Bell. A seemingly obscure/rare country single, of which I have 2 copies of. I purchased both from the same store.

Its funny because I remember a lot of sufjan fans and the label didn't want him to
the exact opposite situation

Anything that has a liquid in it is what I'd love to have.

That was obviously a fake though. Just listen to it. The vocals are so completely off from Sufjan that it's embarrassing people thought it was legitimate.

Holy fucking shit, you shitting me. Can you listen to it, tho?

Constellation has their own copy locked in the vaults but they have repeatedly said they'll never release it.

I’d kill to have an original test pressing of Big Star’s Third. Or the test pressing of Blood on the Tracks. Both are super rare and different than what eventually came out.

This might be too Sup Forums, but it's content, and it's the rarest music related thing I own. I was able to grab the 57 track Serial Experiments Lain Bootleg box soundtrack for less than a hundred.

Apparently BoC's Hooper Bay has a vinyl release

Only one vinyl copy made, bootlegs were sourced from one-time mono AM radio broadcasting

On a side note, the ability for something to be so rare that there are no digital copies in existence in this day and age is a pretty cool thing, even if it's a pain in the ass for collectors and music autists like myself that want to hear an entire artist's discography.

christ this sounds cool, fuck you casketjack

Not my pic, but I have a copy

Why the fuck do you think the band doesn't want to release it

>all this fuss over this garbage?

kek
KEK
K E K

I didn't take this picture but it could very well be my copy. Limited to 8.

discogs.com/William-Bonney-Good-Vibes/release/7437805

It sounds like a Sufjan before he knew how to sing + it sounds was recorded in a fucking dumpster with thrown away instruments, so it makes sense
youtube.com/watch?v=KxEHy7cKvLk

>didn't get Blonde because I figured a fuckhuge artist like him would definitely restock it
>the look on my face when the press was filled with fuckups on multiple copies, no exchanges, and still resells for at least $500 on discogs
At least I got Endless on vinyl, though who fucking knows when that'll ship

I have some wire music.

for those that don't know, it was an early attempt at a physical music media. You take a string of metal wire and magnetize it. Then you spool it up, and run it through a machine that turns the magnetized data to sound

That's really neat. What kind of music is it?

This was my original grail for a while, but I bit the bullet and got it since I got a $100 visa from Santa anyways.

classical. also have the recording apparatus

Also have a signed copy of Anderson Paak's Malibu on pink

this is my baby tho

Make a video

...

it's in my attic 900 miles away. Didn't bring it with me to uni... sorry. Next time I go home I'll do a vid

it's pretty similar to this one

How the fuck was he not doxxed?

>his address gets out their
>a mob of "intellectual" fat fucks with greasy GY!BE t-shirts and cheeto dust on their fingers show up demanding the cassette.
would've been a good day, desu
You gotta realize how shitty the tape must have been if neither the dude that had it, the band, or the label wanted that shit released or archived. He was probably doing us a favor by saving our imagination from being crushed by the brutal reality of shitty edgerock

The grails I own are Govt. Plates, ExM, Lil Scuzzy, The Fruit Will Rot Vol. 3 9xMiniCD, and a Nero's Day At Disneyland CD
Second tier rarities that I still love are Route One Or Die (on vinyl), the recent 5xCD Pornoise reissue, Klatter, complete Ormolycka DG tape set, and an original Melvins CD that still says Lysol on it

And I recently ordered a copy of pic related, only 90 copies, signed, 15 went to the artists
It's from a Tony Oursler expo, had to contact a gallery to get a copy
It's a two sided track by JG Thirlwell, Tony Conrad, Kim Gordon, Ikue Mori, Lee Ranaldo, Stephen Vitiello and Zeena Parkins
Don't think it's on Discogs, I'm hyped as fuck for it

Jesus fucking christ, I don't even like GY!BE but what a giant faggot.

Not sure if it’s that rare but I’ve never seen a copy of Fire Escape in the Sky: The Godlike Genius of Scott Walker and one day I wanna track down a copy. It’s basically the best of his self written songs from his Scott 1-4 era minus some of the middle of the road fluff covers.

Considering how much it could go for I am honestly surprised his house wasn’t broken into.

God I hate casketjack. I guess he really doesn't owe us shit, but to tease us like that... He deserves to be crucified. Stop being such a faggot and leak it.

I got an Albanian album I randomly decided to buy
>balkan, klezmer, jazz, ska, world, rock
It's not rare here but you probably can't find it online as far as I know
If anybody wants it I can rip it and upload it.

These are the rarest things I own.
The Chromalox vinyl was apparently intended to be a promotional album for an HVAC system from the early 70s. It's a pretty fun album though. Seen it go for $100 on Discogs once. I found it at Goodwill in great condition.
The Mum album is my baby though. My personal favorite album and it only ever got one pressing

For me I guess it would be the Tonetta cassette from bandcamp. I managed to learn about it after randomly looking up Tonetta one day to see what was he up to. Apparently he made a deal with a guy on bandcamp to make and sell 100 copies of these cassettes but just like all the other business ventures of Tonetta it all went to shit because Tonetta apparently wasn't getting paid. After making a video about it the guy on bandcamp freaked out and posted a long blog explaining that he's not a liar and posted various images of him sending money to prove his innocence. Long story short he sent the few bought copies and burned the rest. I'm actually surprised that I even got it because I had second thoughts and bought it a couple days before he burnt them all. And even though I love Tonetta I've come to terms with the fact that he probably didn't get ripped off by Black Tent Press for his vinyl and the people behind his Kickstarter and was just crazy. Apparently only 50 copies exist.

here's video of the cassettes burning

youtube.com/watch?v=C7qijBkAEnw

Not sure exactly what I'm looking at here, what's up? big fan of A Gift From Euphoria tho

I own one of the 20 black and tan vinyl, it's funny since what I got was supposed to be more rare

he doesn't pay darkweb assassins to kill redditors who won't leak things

someone give me weezer rarities

best thread in a long time. thanks anons!

Some user leaked this last year or so.

was never really invested in this whole thing but jesus christ was that guy a fucking pussy.

Why do people own test pressings? I would never want to actually listen to it so that I wouldn’t ruin it

Not anything obscure but I got the Jittery Joes live album autographed by Jeff

Woah, I'd kill to own that. Holy Money is one of my favorite albums of all time.

Yeah, listen to it every now and again. Though since someone uploaded it I tend to listen to the digital version.

Any Metgumbnerbone tape. The shit cannot be found and I"m amazed that most of it is even up on yt at all.

He's broke and in jail
