China isn't going to take over the world in it's current state. It's surrounded by hostile forces with better navies and economies growing just as fast as theirs. They're also completely dependent on export driven growth, they need the US to keep buying and therefore america must stay #1 for china to stay #2. China would need to develop a real domestic economy that isn't built on fraudulent bubbles and mismanagement by communist officials. Until they change this, china won't overtake america. Even if the US fell apart it would only hurt china as exports would crash and destroy their economy too.

No not really. They have benefited massively from the tech from the west. All of London was black from coal dust during the 1700's. there are places here just as bad sometimes but overall given the speed at which they have progressed its nothing

It doesn't want the world. It wan't the South China Sea, and for the US to be gone from Korea and Japan, and to stay out of Taiwan. This. The government doesn't give welfare to single mothers, and the state gives children to the father in the event of divorce. Obviously this means less divorce (women initiate 3/4 of divorces in the west) in marriages with children. Also, it's an honor-based culture. Social consequences are how morality is enforced, not religion. Reputation (face) is what you attack, not a person's "character".

Pretty much all of them. China was an enormous labor market to tap but as they become more wealthy and the low hanging fruit vanishes, companies will be seeking other markets to exploit. This means india, vietnam, indonesia, burma, etc etc. China also lacks the naval power necessary to project an empire and none of the other countries like them, if it came to war, japan could roflstomp them in the sea once america took them off their leash. Another problem for china is their horrendous military, communist countries are notorious for their terrible leadership. Finland was able to hold off the soviets for so long because of the terrible soviet generals, it was only when the soviets used a decent general that they started to break the mannerheim line.

About 900 filipinos(yes pinoys) took on 40k chinese troops and held their position until they could safely retreat. China hasn't faced a war in some time, their generals are political officers who would lose 10 to 1 against american forces.
