TCD - 9/10
MBDTF - 9/10
LR - 8.75/10
Graduation - 7/10
WTT - 6/10

Kanye sucks.

It's pretty amazing how badly late registration aged compared to the others.

He's the greatest hip hop artist of all time.

You're the same dude with that "thetrashman" as a filename, right?

No.

But I actually know who you're talking about

Kanye is a pretentious fuck, not a good artist.

user is a pretentious fuck, not a good critic

user has no good comebacks

It's still great album. His verse on Gone is top tier and Diamonds is one of his best songs

t. only knows Golddigger and all the Kanye memes

Late Registration > College Dropout

Why is this so difficult to accept?

Anyone who puts CD above LR should be instantly ignored.

putting College Dropout as your #1 is literally the plebiest shit ever lmao.

this

College Dropout has aged wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy worse lmao. Late Registration actually sounds pretty alright as far as aging goes.

hip hop ages quickly no matter what

...

you're both right

you guys do realize the fact none of you can agree on a rating just proves how good of an artist Kanye is, right

MBDTF 9/10, mostly bangerz, great lyrics, great production

Graduation 10/10, this was the foundation, idc what y'all say, this is the album that made kanye who he is

LR, 5/10, only 2 memorable songs, didn't age that well as another user put it

TCD, 7/10, good introduction album, some fine moments

808s, 8.5/10, a masterpiece as far as I'm concerned

TLOP, 9/10, fucking extra

Yeezus, 10/10, that's the album that got me into kanye. I'll never forget that moment 'hold my liquor' was blasting and those cold beats. Fuck.

I see this ranking in every kanye thread and it never gets any better

808s would be a 10/10 if it weren't for "See You in my Nightmares" and "Pinocchio Story." Otherwise, best goes to TCD and Yeezus which both rank in at a 9/10. TLOP, MBDTF, and Graduation are 7-8/10, and LR is like a 6

LR > TLOP > CD > MBDTF > Grad = Yeezus > 808s > WTT
This is the only acceptable ranking.

>808s last
bad bait

this is exactly my ranking, nice one OP

It's not last though

I don't count wtt bc it was a collaboration. My bad.

I agree OP.
Through The Wire best Kanye song

interesting grading system user

Graduation>TLOP>TCD>LR>808>YEEZUS>MBDTF

Why is College Dropout considered to be sooo amazing? It doesn't seem like it particularly succeeds at anything, whether it be Kanye's flows or the production. The musical ideas just aren't there,

It's brimming with character

faggot

TRU.
family business has more character than some of his whole projects...

Yeezus>MBDTF>College Dropout>808s>LR>TLOP>Graduation

yeezus and mbdtf will go down as two of the greatest albums of all time

he's not wrong

>Late Registration
>aging poorly

Heard Em Say, Touch the Sky, Gone, Diamonds, Crack Music, Roses are all still perfect songs. It's easily his best album when factoring both production and lyrics. Most the people who rank it low didnt even like hip hop until MBDTF and the Odd Future era. For shame.

Your arguments > Yeezus

this

its got some great songs for sure, but its too long and it drags especially in the second half. to me, the college dropout just does the same thing (long, skit heavy, old school kanye production), but better and more consistent. dont get me wrong, i like Late Registration a lot but its not as good as CD.

Now whether those albums are better than his later albums is a different discussion. Yeezus and MBDTF to me are on another level.

Objective rankings coming through

His earlier albums and his later albums are damn near different genres. I personally enjoy LR more than MBDTF but comparing them is like comparing Nas albums to Death Grips albums.

What songs are you referring to when you say the latter half of LR drags?

bring me down
addiction
we major
celebration
the skits

hey mama, gone and late are all great tho. at the end of the day im a fan of all kanye albums so im just giving my reasoning why LR is lower than some others.

Graduation is awesome, fuck you all sad cunts

>we major

What you listed ranges from alright to amazing and the ones you matter of factly remembered were good absolutely count as the second half.

Maybe the skits are where your dislike lies? I know I think MF Dooms MmFood would be so much better without all the pointless skits.

This, it sounds too slick and polished, and while Ye's rapping is great the songwriting overall is kind of mediocre.

Wrong. The correct ranking is as follows

MBDTF 9.25/10
CD 9/10
LR 8.75/10
Graduation 8.25/10
Yeezus 8.25/10
TLOP 8.25/10
808s 7.75/10

Switch Graduation and MBDTF and this is mine

THIS IS THE RIGHT LIST

Can people tell me what they enjoy about Yeezus?

insane, super unqiue, production, every beat is different but bangs
blood on the leaves, hold my liquor, send it up, on sight, im in it are some of the best rap beats you will ever hear
iconic verses/lyrical content
people said it was stupid at the time but all the dumb shit that he says on that album is hilarious and has aged super well IMO, everyone knows those lines that people were criticizing when it first dropped, that shit is just iconic now

on a deeper note though, i think conceptually is really interesting. it's kanye's last gasp of crazyness, wilin out before he settles down with kim and his children. all this crazy aggressive music and lyrics before he accepts that he loves his wife and will settle down on bound 2. except the last thing he says on the album is "jerome is in the house, watch your mouth" over and over again, showing that even though he pledged loyalty and love on bound 2, however much he tries to calm down, hes always gonna be that unhinged and can never truly be that family man.

its super interesting conceptually imo. contradictions between high art and the lowest of lowbrow.

not to mention how influential its been, thats not really part of why i think its good, but it is one of most influential albums of the decade so far

Kanye is for fucking plebs but his first album is good and 808s is great you are just too stupid to understand it

oh please, "most influential albums" - not even close to being influential. when you have to shill this hard for such a terrible album, one can easily see it is a desperate attempt to defend mediocrity.. or you only listen to kanye? either way, just sad.

you're right. the rest of his catalogue is a joke. not for real hiphop or rap fans. just kanye being a fucking retard and rapping about utter bullshit.

you ask every new rapper of the last couple years what their favorite kanye album is i bet most of them will say yeezus.

zane lowe interviewed brockhampton they all said their favorite was yeezus. lil uzi vert, yachty, xxxtentacion, 21 savage i guarantee yeezus was their biggest influence. whatever you think of these rappers they are the culture at the moment.

more like 808s. 808s is probably his most "influential" album but who tf really cares

The fuck are you on i'm not even a hip hop head but nobody says that. 808s spawned the whole generation of cancerous retards that have ruined the genre, it's definitely his most influental work

yea id say 808s is more influential too, i just meant this decade bud, learn to read. 808s made drake, future etc... the soundcloud rappers tho are all about yeezus.

> the soundcloud rappers tho are all about yeezus
No, gay uzi vert even said that 808s is where it's at

if you dont hear yeezus in songs like x0 tour lif3, look at me, you was right etc.. i dont know what to tell ya bud

I hear more 808s than Yeezus but that might just be me

TCD = LR > MBDTF > TLOP > 808s = Yeezus
