Got this off of OfferUp this morning. Never played bass before. Might be kind of weird learning on a 5-string but it was a good deal and I figure I can always either ignore the low B or capo it 5 frets up and treat it like a short scale.
What do y’all think?
Jonathan White
that is photoshopped. Hendrix's Woodstock Strat had a 70's headstock.
Zachary Russell
>70s headstock >in the 60s
Luke Kelly
WHY DO I SUCK SO MUCH
Nicholas Thompson
because you give up too easily, don't have talent or you didn't start at an early enough age. as simple as that
Dominic Carter
I-It was kind of like a rhetorical question user, i didn't need these truths
Jordan Richardson
>But in December 1965, an even more significant—and visible—change was implemented. The Stratocaster’s headstock was enlarged and slightly re-shaped. >And that’s how it stayed for the next 15 years. Many actually refer to the larger Strat headstock as the "'70s” or "'70s-era” headstock even though it was in production for the latter half of the 1960s, too. I don't know why do I bother answering a pimple popper.
Nolan Campbell
Looks nice user, love the maple fretboard. How much did you pay for it?
Parker Peterson
The only thing you can't fix there is >you give up too easily
Luke Gutierrez
Are you low test or are you high test?
Nicholas Phillips
I traded an acoustic guitar I bought for 6 $150 six years ago and paid him an additional $100. Said he liked it but he’s not a 5-string kind of guy.
Dylan Foster
post Hammett feet
Ryder Morgan
Ignore that number 6, student typo
Daniel Fisher

Connor Reyes
Stevie Ray Vaughan: Mary Had a Little Lamb Scuttle Buttin' Travis Walk I'm Cryin' I Wanna Testify Lenny
Django Reinhardt: Minor Swing
Jimi Hendrix: Freedom
William Lopez
There you go. Those are kind of hard.
Julian Taylor
Fucking idiot guitarists were switching telecaster and stratocaster necks all the time in the 1970s.
Josiah Johnson
What's the best type for fingerstyle? Parlor, OOO, Folk, Dreadnought?
Logan Sanchez
Do you practice every day consistently or just whenever you feel like it?
When you practice are you learning new material or just noodling and playing stuff you already know?
Owen Perry
I like the OOO!
Asher Ramirez
>OfferUp We have craigslist why do all these shitty websites even exist
Charles Lee
...
Colton Wood
I'm a NEET so i play nearly everyday, usually i just jump from tab to tab looking for something fun to play That's the response i got from Google but for some reasons the only OOOs i find are cheap stuff between $150 and $300
Connor King
OfferUp is a little less sketchy because they have a TrueYou system where you authenticate yourself with a photo of your driver’s license and your phone number.
Alexander Martin
And the Grand Auditorium
Aaron Parker
Well you got the Martins if you got the cash. I think the OOO X-series (AE-X or something) is around $1k.
Nice thanks for the playlist, i remember trying to play some Ewan Dobson songs when i first started guitar..i didn't get very far
Andrew Mitchell
Hol up, so you be saying that Yamaha THR10 is the quintessential bedroom practice amp?
Xavier Baker
What I came up with off the top of my head from Easy to Hard:
1. Ramones - Blitzkrieg Bop 2. Judas Priest - Living After Midnight 3. Motley Crue - Looks That Kill 4. Ratt - Round and Round 5. Guns N Roses - Sweet Child O Mine 6. Children of Bodom - Bed of Razors 7. Avenged Sevenfold - Hail to the King 8. Metallica - Disposable Heroes 9. Megadeth - Tornado of Souls 10. Racer X - Technical Difficulties
William Harris
Try that first song by Mike Dawes (Somebody That I Used to Know). I swear it's not hard as it looks like. It was the first song I tried to learn of that style, and it took me only 2 weeks to go over the whole tab. Of course I've been perfecting it for years after that, because I cut some corners on my first passthrough, but it's still fun to play. The only boring thing is that you have to retune your guitar, so you have to tune back if you want to play some other songs. Also try that dude Daryl Kellie, his arrangements are nice. And Sungha Jung, whatever you like from him (Spirited Away theme is also a difficult arrangement, but very rewarding to play).
not a fan of the "famous marshall breakdown" i prefer mesa boogie mark 1 and dumble ods clones tho.
Jason Richardson
Sheeeeit i haves ta sand da WHOLE guitar? Fuck dat shit I aint no slave.
Austin Green
typical american """craftsmanship"""
Jack Kelly
Ey yo *smacks lips* Lemme Aks you a queshun. Do i haves to put a magnet in ALL dese mafuckas. Hell nah . aint nobody got time fo all dat boollsheeeit
Robert Diaz
Not as creepy as this.
Hunter Cruz
Honestly it's not even an exaggeration when people say their korean guitars are better. They have a higher standard of labor because they get beaten and shit.
If you gave a korean factory the highest quality electronics and hardware, their guitars would make Gibsons look like toys.
Adrian Parker
>They have a higher standard of labor because they get beaten and shit. People in the USA don't get beaten?
Alexander Stewart
Man, that's depressing. Sorry, user.
Samuel Rivera
still want a gibson tho
Gavin Taylor
Tin foil hat guy strikes again!
Leo Hughes
yeah dont let the pajeet psyop you to settle with a squier.
Easton Morgan
that's a goddamn steal. You better play the shit out of it.
Carson Brown
Go for it user, it's a nice piece of kit and looks good too. Amazon/Paypal refunds exist anyway so you can't really go wrong.
Eli Lewis

Daniel Russell
Not physically, but there's a reason people are content making $7/hr

Gabriel Lewis
That was for the tinfoil comment.
William Garcia
considering putting a turtle pickguard and bridge cover on my jag bass, pic related
in a scale of rosie o'donal to 10, how sexy is it
Easton Edwards
The only thing I'd ask is if it's more than you need. It's a great beginner's bass if that's your budget, but there's some good basses for $100-200 less too.
Easton Long
pickguard is cool but bridge covers get in the way i find
Owen Gutierrez
BOI IM BOUT TO DO IT
Colton Martin
anyone?
Dylan Fisher
There's string buzz at the nut on my Squier Tele now that wasn't there before. I changed from Regular Slinky to Heavy Top Skinny Bottom strings. now, i have nut buzz (but only when i hold it in playing position). I've tried lubing it with graphite, but it hasn't worked. I don't think its the action on my guitar. I'm a noob at this stuff, what do? Should I change back to regular slinkies?
Levi Allen
Get a new nut that's cut for the new string gauge, idiot.
Andrew Martin
is good
Charles Anderson
>tele vomit
Joshua King
I'm trying to copy The Cure's guitar tone. How would you all go about it? I'm working with a british samp with flanger and echo.
every guitar that comes with emgs stock looks like shit. its unfortunate.
Blake Adams
why you prefer dumble od clones what you think of them
Colton Campbell
why you posted that here
Ryder Sanchez
call me sam
Justin Long
get the nut filled
Ethan Butler
the wood behind the guitar has a better grain lel
but it looks nice
Eli Morgan
That’s a really nice photograph. Guitar is okay.
Henry Jackson
I never thought about it until you posted that now. You should see this movie, is about a guy like you called Sam. Is that the original tremolo arm? It looks enormous.
Mason Foster
Print on paper then glue on / 10
Kayden Gonzalez
But our Sam has more of a handicap, also that Sam can probably actually play guitar.
