The vocalist can’t play any instruments

>the vocalist can’t play any instruments

But a guitarist who can't play any other instrument doesn't bother you ?

>the drummer doesn't know how to play mahjong

>band has two vocalists
>none play shit

ahahaha kek

>bassist can't play dead

Why’s it always Canadian bands where every member is multiinstrumental and routinely change instruments during performance?

>the rest of the band can't sing or write lyrics

looks like a job for me, then

>the drummer is also the lead singer

Why is this bad? As long as the vocalist writes the majority of the songs, it's not really a problem. If anything, it's unnatural for vocalists to play instruments when they're the frontman; they lead the heart of the band, and hearts shouldn't be able to play instruments.

vocals are an instrument

>lead singer plays tambourine

What if the singer is not the leader of the band and doesn’t write the lyrics?

>vocalist is the lead guitarist
>he's also the songwriter
>he's also the tallest member
>he records all bass and guitar parts by himself

>also records the banjo
>and the drums
>and the piano
>and the brass
>and the woodwinds
>only writes concept albums
>plus he's the cutest

>lead singer doesn't play any instruments live
>still writes all of the songs

>as well as mixing and mastering his records
the man is a genius

>guitarist can't play any instruments

Subaru has a drummer.

>the drummer can't play the drums

Not enough people.
Same reason why internationally successful Canadian acts almost always end up leaving Canda - not enough people to make up a sustainable fan base.

Needs a really fucking good voice.

every vocalist i go to school with because they're all fucking useless

>merch guy can't play instruments

he's listed as playing the drums on Illinois (along with James McAlister) and he programmed the drum machines on the Adz but you could be right about the live drums being played by someone else on that record

another pic for my sufjan collection thanks user

Better to have a dedicated vocalist than to have shitty vocals courtesy of your guitarist.

>lead tambourinist starts singing

can somebody recc me some bands w/ this dynamic? I’m genuinely curious.

>drummer does back up vocals

you bonin' for me bro? I got you

Early Phil Collins era Genesis maybe?
I know that later he was pretty much a dedicated singer, but I dunno if he drummed and sang right after Peter Gabriel left, like Trick of the Tale era
