While I enjoy that music, I try to find a composer and listen to near everything then move on. It just happens Stravinsky has stuck around. Though I do have some Wagner to listen to still. But I've hear the operas a bit of his other works. But I usually listen to Bach for ideas or counter point inspiration.

(I actually picked the first concert mainly because one of the pieces is by an obscure contemporary composer I'm interested in, while the other one was just safe classical picks. I wanted to go to the second concert as well, but I couldn't so I partially rationalized it with some racism.)
Aaron Copland's "What to listen for in music" was very useful to me. Short, understandable and enjoyable. But it doesn't really talk about the history, just the theory.
