Thoughts on Paris, Texas?

Just finished watching it, thought it was fantastic.

My favorite film. Glad you liked it.

my wife's son: the film

I saw it projected this summer and it really added another layer to the film. For the first time it felt like I actually was Travis sitting in the booth; sitting in a pitch black movie theater while the bright screen shows Natasha Kinski talking straight into the camera is very similar to the feeling of the whole booth situation.

Some guy walking through the desert with a guitar twanging in the background: the movie

>foreign film
>only 50% set in texas
Nice try europleb

it was alright. wing's of desire is leagues better

It really is one of the most beautiful, gut wrenching American dramas ever.

The old, out of touch, alcoholic father who got his shit together way too late in life, the kid giving everyone hope, the wife who is now a slut, the lonesome shots of old school Republican Texas.....

Millennials don't get this movie because every girl these days is a histrionic slut with no moral compass.

Back in the day having the love of your life become jerk off fuel for some seedy scum because you had a difficult breakup was soul-shattering.

These days it's the norm.

Thanks Lori

t. embryo

paris texas is just the original rain man but worse

t. retard

A perfect film.

I thought the reveal was pretty corny but it's still great

I thought the meet up would be way more dark than it was. I mean they took like an hour and a half build your suspense for the inevitable clash, and it was very subdued.

nastassja was a qt

it's fantastic

the scenes where Travis finally goes to see her behind the mirror were tense as fuck the first time round

also Travis in No More Heroes is named after this film
