All talented people are. If you want right wing music stick to music like Toby Keith, 3 Doors Down, Kid Rock etc..

99 % of worthwile present-day musicians are, deal with it.

who fucking cares you retard

Please stop baitposting

I don't know. I'd say Mc Ride's philosophy deviates from typical leftist talking points a great deal. He's someone I would consider center-right in today's climate.

i don't know man, it looks like he's leading with his right hand in this pic
and most left handed drummers i've seen switch their sets so the hi-hat and crash is on their left

>caring about an artist's stance on politics and not just enjoying their art
wew lad

>actually believing this

I don't know about Hill, but MC Ride / Stefan seems like he's completely detached from society / humanity.

He's probably still sympathetic to some left-wing causes but too far nihilistic to engage in politics

he's literally playing a character. how are you so stupid

prove me wrong, brainlet

>inb4 Megadeth and other manbaby-music

lmao

get back to your fucking containment board jesus christ

Watch the pitchfork interview. Even speaking as Stefan, he is detached from people.

>Whats the biggest misconception of Death Grips?

I think the biggest misconception is in the sense of the music. Where our heads are at is much different than most Hip-Hop and rap artist heads are at. For example we are pro-homosexual, pro-feminist and progressive. We’re anti-closed mind, anti-conservative and anti-homophobe. We make aggressive-macho sounding music but we’re definitely progressive.

Another misconception is Stefan being a “crack head,” he actually went to Hampton University in Hampton. Virginia
Pitchfork: When you released the art for The Money Store, it came with these ideas that went beyond music: "We're feminist, we support homosexuality and individualism, we're in favor of a transparent world leadership." In that vein, with the actions you've taken this year-- self-releasing NO LOVE, using provocative art, sharing internal emails, canceling a tour because it felt right-- were there any extra-musical messages you wanted to convey?

ZH: As far as gender, race, politics, there's this feeling that so much change is happening so rapidly, both socially and on a world level. We want to make it clear that we embrace people being whoever it is they really want to be. It gets tricky-- we aren't a political band-- but both of us have been very elusive and outsider-ish our whole lives. We're not the most social people; we're loner-esque, awkward. If you have a hard time expressing aspects of your personality, the platform of creativity has always been one of the healthiest places to get these other things out. We are encouraging that. Even through being a listener of this music, or at our shows, we want to provide an environment that is entirely non-judgmental. You can do whatever you want. You can be whoever you want. Every facet of your personality can be expressed within this space or listening experience.

deal w/it

mlady

Nothing is bait about it. Prove me wrong.

All of you need to go the fuck back to Sup Forums and stop shitting up Sup Forums with your political garbage sports team-esque bullshit

>we suport individualism
Not a very popular stance among leftists this days. They're probably into some post-left anarchy shit

Fuck man, how did you get so enlightened. You truly see through it all.

the Sup Forums-tears are delicious

I'd definitely say he's heavily libertarian, but other than that I have little idea. I just expect every great abrasive artists to be left leaning.

yep if you look back far enough in the archive theres a post about reconciling tiqqun with death grips

There's no political spectrum in the 5th dimension

not new left

Hes all about accelerationism.

Conservatives just aren't creative people

Well, Mustaine is a legitimately talented musician. Not vocally of course, but come on, you can't listen to Rust in Peace and say there's no talent there.

He really likes to ham up his playing

Not all but for the most part this is true.

Mustaine's vocals on Rust in Peace are great as long as you're not listening to the remaster version, the remaster does genuinely have bad vocals.

Zach here
we're not leftist we are the official band of the alt-right don't let p4 fool you
thanks
Zach

>aren't creative people

musician here, most musicians are leftists and the ones who arent are almost always dad rock bros, metal babies, or weird classical music virgins

Thanks Andy

No, he's a drummer?

>Another misconception is Stefan being a “crack head,” he actually went to Hampton University in Hampton. Virginia
So is he the modern-day Diogenes?

One of the funniest things I ever witnessed was some 40 year old dude on Instagram who was FURIOUS and absolutely shocked and appalled and felt betrayed to find out that Tom Morello had lefty and anti-Trump views. Like where the fuck was this guy for the last 20 years.

Point is, it's not a bad idea to have some awareness about an artists' politics unless you want to be absolutely triggered one day.
