Looks like just the sort of cheese I'm after
It's Trek.
>best sci-fi
the original version is porn, not Stargate
plenty of people recognize the franchise for the generic Star Trek knockoff that it is
if you like cheesy sci-fi check out Cleopatra 2525, it's awesome
>Star Trek knockoff
lol. you don't know what you're talking about. trek looks like a joke.
>They explore the universe ..... in freshly ironed uniforms in burocratic manner depending on only on a silly phaser, a communicator and Kirk's charm
farscape newfag reporting in
just watched the pilot.. so far so good! very very comfy.
Always remember that crackers don't matter!
It doesn't matter what your opinion is, the fact that Stargate rips it off is obvious. It's literally just Star Trek set in present day, with wormholes instead of transporters
The two literally nothing alike, is this bait?
it's really not that cheesy though, Farscape is legit very well done most of the time, the humor is an integral part of what makes it great.
Only superficially are they different. The core concepts are almost identical. Stargate SG-1 is basically a stealth remake of Star Trek: The Next Generation, with some overarching bad guys like in Deep Space Nine.
poe's law I guess
user, no
I don't care if you hate Trek, hate SG1, love either or both, whatever.
they are not alike.
Back to the Future
Jurassic Park
Planet of the Apes
Alien
A Boy and His Dog
Until a few months ago it was on netflix. The bigger shame is that they lost the masters so there will never be a HD or blu ray release.
>it's really not that cheesy though
It's got plenty of cheese, but that's part of what makes it great. It's never afraid to not take itself seriously.
Yes they are, even down to episode plots in SG-1 being lifted directly from Star Trek. The only way I can understand someone not seeing the similarities is if they haven't seen one or the other, it's obvious as fuck. The format itself is identical
