Is this their best album?
Is this their best album?
No. Float Along Fill Your Lungs is. That one is second best.
You can trash the rest.
Might be desu, changes from week to week for me.
But this one along with IIYMF and Nonagon are probably their best.
Open water is the best thing they've ever made
cmon, user
we talked about this
Yes we did.
And a large majority of their releases has been the same monotonous garage psych (again, not really even psychedelic music) that Ty Segall and Thee Oh Sees have been beating into the ground since 2008.
Let's move on. This band is not as remarkable as a lot of you seem to believe. But then again the same could be said for Swans, Animal Collective, etc etc etc.
you're just tired of it, don't knock other people down about it
Polygonwannalan is the best King Gizz album
fite me
I never really liked it to begin with. I mean what's the point. Its like The White Stripes trying to play blues rock 15 years ago. It's the same thing over, and over, and over.
Fast distorted reverb drenched riffs with reverb drenched "WOO"s thrown in. Lather, rinse, repeat.
i guess its just not for you. you've listened to Polygondwanaland though? thats a pretty great record without all the effects and WOOs
I don't know. Maybe I'll get around to it eventually.
>4:24 and onward of open water
i'm not gonna fite you, i agree
...
I will agree that King Gizzard has released music that is much more interesting and attention grabbing than anything Tame Impala has, and probably ever will release.
Who here
I HEARD A STORY COULD BE TRUE, ABOUT A COLOR UNDER BLUE
do they really need two drummers? be honest with me family
I like oddments best, does this make me a soyboy?
Yes, this or FAFYL
as a former diehard fan these are the only albums that i still enjoy
Mind Fuzz is the best of what I listened to so far
Nonagon
Brunswick
Microtonal Banana
How much would it cost to put 12 more frets on an acoustic guitar?
If it's just that, why the fuck is it so popular and highly praised?
It isn't
Mind Fuzz is best, followed by Paper Mache. The rest varies in degrees if mediocrity.
First time listening to this. Are the guitars out of tune on purpose?
They aren't out of tune, it's microtonality, they have fixed frets so they can play tones smaller than semitones. It's not regular in western music, so it sounds weird, but there are many instruments, mostly middle eastern, that incorporate microtones on regular basis. It's pretty cool
...
how can tones be small haha
best album coming through
Intervals are smaller than semitones, less than 100 cents. You know what I mean.
This is the correct answer and even this has a couple shitty songs on it
