I've done it
Though, not on all movies
just when i had no clue what it was about, or had the feeling that there was something off about it that i didn't pick up on

Is that so bad?

i used to do it when i was like 15, you brainlet

After every film I watch I always read the IMNB or whatever it's called trivia about the movie

>finally get the ending
>see thread on Sup Forums about
>'you must be really dumb if you didnt get this'

There are more than one reasons to kill yourself, you know

> read IMDb trivia for 20 capeshit movies
> stroll into Sup Forums with a PHD in film

Why do plebs even like movies?

Dude what the fuck?

I just did this 3 seconds ago and the first thread i saw as soon as i open Sup Forums is this.

I'm already uneasy because of the movie annd now this meaans no sleep tonight ;_;

>having to google so you could understand those endings
Lmao, kys pleb

> watch movie
> simultaneously watch YouTube, browse Wikipedia and IMDb so I get the full experience

I seriously hope no one does this

Jacob's ladder was pretty self explanatory

Some films you kind of have to.

Like I looked up the ending to Walking With Dinosaurs The Movie because I thought there actually was one but somehow they didnt show it in the goddamn movie.
(Seriously the film just ends randomly. Its the worst movie made in years. I dont recommend watching it ever. Everything about it is plain terrible).

Another one was Shutter Island. Not because I didnt get the ending, I just liked to see the debate on whether people thought he was lucid or not at the end.

The last recent one was Cloud Atlas.
That movie was fucking crazy. A mess of overlapping storylines. I still dont quite get that film.

>watch "Pusher" (1996)
>yahoo search "what did refn mean by this + ending"
>make thread on Sup Forums asking if I liked it
>thread 404's with no replies
>make new thread using same image asking if it was kino
>404's with no replies
the worst part is that I can't speak swedish and I couldn't get the subtitles to work

I do this.
I wonder why I do it. Maybe it just helps me cement the synopsis of the film.
Its not like I didnt forget the story or anything. Maybe I like seeing a holistic view of how the plot tied together.

>not reading IMDB trivia
it's like you hate being comfy

>all you're thinking about is what score you'll give on imdb

>remember you have no friends to impress
>Sup Forums just calls you a faggot because your opinion is too long

>watch movie that's hard to follow with gf
>read the wikipedia page plot summary as story goes
>explain it to my gf and sound smart

A lot of that is unsourced bullshit though. Look up the 'links' and a lot of them are just hearsay and articles about articles about interviews or whatever without actually linking the alleged interview

>Finnish movie
>Google "what da fuk r dey sayin???"

>black and white movie
>turn it off immediately

>black in my movie
>shoot the tv screen

>The last recent one was Cloud Atlas.
>That movie was fucking crazy. A mess of overlapping storylines. I still dont quite get that film.

You pretty much said it yourself, Cloud Atlas was a pretentious mess trying to be more deep and grandiose than it was. Jim Parsons' character at the beginning says "there is a method to this madness" and that incites you to think there might be some order or genuine meanin hidden somewhere but that ain't true.

The characters reincarnated randomly, sometimes with that comet tattooed which I guess was supposed to mark them as special but sometimes switch moral compass randomly and it also randomly adds overt paranormal elements which weren't foreshadowed, gah, there is too much shit and I watched it a long time ago.

The Wachowskis are trying to overreach with their themes and it doesn't work when they aren't ripping off Ghost in the Shell/Lain/Akira. See Jupiter ascending for the standard of their current work.

ever seen primer? straight to fucking google after that one.

It Follows, yes.

But Jacob's Ladder literally plays the chiropractor explaining what was happening to Jacob, it was basically purgatory.

And Google their name followed by "nude" just in case.

What did you see?

why do you mix two languages for senseless shitposting?

1 it was danish
2 if you couldn't even get the subtitles right, why even watch it?
3 stop making those sort of threads

I tend to do this
Except they're usually not "too long"

>Watch movie with girl for first time
>Who's that?
>What happened?
>Is he going to die?
>What does that mean?

I did it for Enemy
Not sure how I finished that drivel
