Does anyone else think the 4 year gap is too long?

Does anyone else think the 4 year gap is too long?

Keep this way, we don't need more money laundering cups

world cup every year and rename the 4th ones the "Super World Cup Series"

I was thinking of one WC every 2 years

Make it yearly, 1st half round-robin then 2nd half knockout like Brasileirão once was

The banter from all the relegations will be gold

No because Brazilians only come out for the World Cup and it's already bad enough

No, you idiot. Part of the reason the World Cup is such a big event is because of the four-year gap. Make it more frequent and it starts losing prestige, too. After all, the reason it's such a coveted trophy for players is because you've got five chances at it, tops.

The World Cup is fine as it is, don't change anything. Pointless changes made for a boring Euros last summer.

Qatar might be fucked up but I'm actually looking forward to it being in Russia tbqh.

We have the euros every 2 years and it's almost as good

What a retarded opnion. 4 years gap creates the perfect hype for the next competition, also the clubs can't afford losing their best players to the NT every 2 years.

Every 4 years is perfect

burger pls

4 years is not nearly long enough. Actually they should just cancel the men's event. Soccer is a game for women and children.

They're already do you casual retard.

>also the clubs can't afford losing their best players to the NT every 2 years for the WC

They would lose even more often if the WC gap was shorter and the NT had to go to the qualifcations every year.

No. Euros are 2 years after. Pretty fine time-line.

4 years is needed for you to recover from 7-1

>el americANO

no, 4 years make it more important. Look at the world cup in hockey, no one cares about it.

It's special because it's rare.

If you have a cup every two years it would lose its significancy.

16 teams every 2 years

It's alright. Alternating WC-Euros/Copa America every 2 years.

Though having Euros/Copa America every odd year and WC every even year (and fuck meme Olympics desu) would be alright too.

4 years is the GOAT gap. Think like the Olympics.
It's just enough to be a permanent objective, but enoughly spaced to be rare, so prestigious
Even the best, most durable and steady player can take part in only a handful of World Cups
FIFA wanted to put it every 2 years, but instead they made the meme Confed Cup

No

No. And 48 teams will kill WC

I think it should be like in basketball - continental championships every odd year, and World Cup/Olympics as global tournaments on even years.

Maybe change Olympics to a smaller championship (~8-12 teams) where only the most elite teams from each continent could play, sort of like Confedarations cup.

>2017

What are you on about? The 2 year gap is fine
Did you miss the 2016 world cup that Portugal won? Or the 2012 world cup? Damn, that was a good one, better than the next and previous one for sure.

Should be like Jesus coming back to life but 3 years instead of 3 days
