Does he actually anything about football? He knows about business & economics, he knows about management, he knew that the french market was untapped. But does he know anything about football? Can he teach a young striker how to make runs? Can he teach a defender correct position play? I don't think he actually understands football more than the average Sup Forumsasti. Now when he doesn't have an untapped market where he can buy already made players for cheap he is fucked.

he does not

tactics are over-rated, the best managers are player managers and wenger is the best at that

>when you dont footbal

To be fair, his teams only became susceptible to regular blow-outs after he brought in Ozil. Prior to that, Arsenal would rarely get dicked in the big games and he had a track record of developing world class talent.

He was able to build perfectly functional teams around the creative talents of Bergkamp and Fabregas but for whatever reason has been unable to do the same with Mesut Ozil outside of the cups. Interestingly, Real Madrid have probably been at their most successful since getting rid of Ozil in spite of the incredible stats he put up during his time there.

If I were Wenger, I would have got rid of Ozil in the summer. He's achieved superior results with far less individually talented midfields in the past and he could definitely do the same now. Between Ozil, Xhaka and Ramsey the midfield is just far too open.

He's really good at saving money and that's about it. I don't think he knows anything about actual coaching like Ancelotti does.

Ozil isn't someone you build a team around.

>that pervert look

Saw a comment in some newspaper a few weeks ago that went along the lines of: "Wenger has been the Arsenal coach for +20 years and it shows".
The football world moved on, but when it comes to training methods and tactic you get the feeling that Wenger is stuck in the year 2003.

>and wenger is the best at that
Mourinho, Klopp, Simeone, Ancelotti and Zidane along a few lesser known coaches are all better man managers imo.

You know he's finished when France are having another golden generation and Arsenal have not benefited whatsoever.

Based Wenger.

France's 'golden generation' couldn't even beat Luxembourg.

Does seem a bit odd that Wenger hasn't tapped into this excellent young French and Belgian generation

Youngsters want to go to winning teams and Arsenal is kind of regarded as a joke these days, but it wasn't always that way. I'm sure Wenger had a lot of clout in France just 5-10 years ago and he never capitalized on it. Wonder what changed from the time he brought in Henry, Pires, etc. to the 2010's.

look uuuhhh ze market is very hard to compete for teams like arsenal that can't spend big money and don't have uhhhh sugar daddies

See He fell for the British youngsters meme. Also Yaya Sanogo was a huge flop.

arsenal isn't the only foreign club that scouts france anymore, very simple.

he became a meme, thats why arsenal fans still like him.

Im trying to think of when it all fell apart. In 2008 they nearly won the league in one of the most competitive seasons in Premier League history. Man Utd and Chelsea reached the CL finals and Arsenal was better than both for much of the Premier League season.

In 2011 by February, they were still in all 4 competitions. Birmingham Carling Cup Final, stunned barca in the 1st leg, top of the league, and in the FA Cup. And then it all collapsed. Thwt was theend of Arsene Wenger.

Then Fabregas left, Wilshere got kill, Van Persie had that great season and then joined Man Utd.

Signing Ozil and Sanchez, two rejects from Madrid and Barcelona was just delaying the inevitable. They got a couple of FA Cup trophies from it but they are a joke duo.

It all fell apart when David Dein left.

Wonga was cutting-edge in the late 90ies, by limiting his player's intake of French fries and abolishing the halftime cigarette. The world has simply moved on.

pretty much this

It can be argued Ozil was the best Real Madrid player the year they broke Barca. If Mourinho was managing Arsenal the bet he would get way more out of Ozil

He can if he starts buying but he doesn't care about winning anymore. Saving money is more important.

They should have signed Suarez when they had the chance lol, he would have done wonders for them.

he passed on kanté.
> genius

Ancelotti is literally le-do-nothing-man. He's lucked out on (flukey tournament) trophies because of god-tier squads. He is only as good as his players. To his credit, he seems to be good at managing egos and keeping a harmonious dressing room. But in terms of actual coaching; of making a team greater than the sum of its parts, he's shit.

This. In the late nineties he tapped a market that was relatively unknown to the rest of the teams in England. He got the players cheap too. Football is global now. If there's some sexy 18 year old winger cutting it up at Bordeaux or Lille or anywhere else, then everyone's going to know about it.

Ancelotti is a better coach and tactician than Arsene could ever hope to be and that's shown in the massive success he's had not only in 4 different leagues but also in the champions league itself.

>He is only as good as his players
This is just wrong.

Arsene is the GOAT. 5 more years!

This.

He used to be good at it, now players use him to benefit their own career. This is the reason Wenger keeps giving trust to shit players he considers his own. Ramsey, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Welbeck etc.

wenger knows which korea is best korea

He came to England. Brought pioneering sport science methods and diets with him. Made a few signings that worked out well. Won a couple of leagues etc before every other club caught up.

Is this really that hard to understand?

w-wtf?? I love asian grills now?
