LHW I'd just recommend watching Jones' run. It's fantastic. Gus/Jones and Gus/DC are good too, and in very recent memory Gus/Glover was pretty good.

If I was to make a list of top MMA to Boxing carry over Cody wouldn't be on it.
Conor had a chance due to his unorthodox style and the fact he is a southpaw which makes Floyd unable to fully utilize the Philly Shell. Also Floyd has stupid reach for someone 5'8 same with Conor at 5'9".
I'd say the next best person would be Nate since hes got a decent reach advantage, is far more fluent in traditional boxing, and his cardio is amazing.
