>Jon Hamm
>Matt Damon
>James Marsden
So this show was just Tina Fey writing her own fan fiction?

yeah kind of, it's still somehow a fucking great show
Can't blame her 2bh
nbc was desperate for higher ratings and "liz lemons new boyfriend" is an easy-to-add guest role desu
as if male writers also never did this.... oh wait
Tina Fey is a beautiful, talented woman and I'm not sure I like your tone
>Tina Fey is a beautiful, talented woman
Fuck off Tina
Actually would like examples of this. A sitcom where below average looking male writer/creator is also the star of the show and is constantly pulling 10/10 tail. I'm sure it's been done, but I can't think of any examples off the top of my head.
seinfeld
curb your enthusiasm
Behead those who insult Tina Fey. You've been warned.
Seinfeld and Larry are both rich in their shows - irrelevant
30 rock is the only good sitcom NBC has had since seinfeld
Not sitcom but Woody Allen made a career out of this and it ruins his every film where he stars.
To be fair it was constantly brought up how these guys were all better than her.
Best 30 rock lines?
>...5 inches, but it's thick.
>It wouldn't be a Lemon party without old Dick.
Two and a half men ?
Lemon party and Jack going DYNOOMITE.
...
Isn't written by Charlie Sheen.
For some reason, I was always partial to the silly interaction between Liz and Jenna:
>Sorry Jenna, I didn't mean to steal your thunder
>MY WHOLE LIIFE IS THUNDER
I think it's the immediacy of the answer or the inflection, but I always laugh out loud at it.
that whole scene was holy kek
Dr. Spaceman was GOAT
That music cue is perfect.
Bobby Hill on King of the Hill fucked like 15 different girls
>a pack of wild dogs took over and successfully ran a Wendy's
I mean WOULDN'T YOU? Let's be honest here.
Also that's like 1/12th of the actual show, tops, and it's great.
Leslie Neilsen in his Naked Gun series and others of similar persuasion.
I mean Scrubs. Just, scrubs.
Leslie didn't write any of those movies though.
Not to mention Liz is portrayed as disgusting ugly and unloved
This whole stupid fucking plotline

I lovr the Black Frasier bit
>It was huge on BET, every Thursday at about nine, nine thirty
I think its fair to say that in films and TV, how the character is treated and how attractive the actor playing them is are separate entities. What's attractive in Hollywood is different to what's attractive in where the show might be based. Its why there isn't a scene in every biopic that says "holy fuck man, you're like Hollywood good-looking, you could be in movies!"
They managed to get high-profile guest stars in an attempt to boost ratings. Easy way to introduce a new character too. If you can get Matt Damon, why wouldn't you?
Also, Fey used to use Cerise (Katrina Bowden) to add eye-candy during sweeps.
And it's not like they didn't give Jack eye-candy either. I mean, fuck, didn't Fey and Hayek kiss?
Ehhh, it's much funnier to write a character as disgusting and fat and ugly. If the person is actually ugly, it feels too mean.
>Superman does good, you're doing well
yes, have a (You)
Some episodes are like golden age simpsons, brilliant from start to finish. Doesn't last that long though
Jenna was great.
No idea why Sup Forums hates her. Is it because her humor is more relatable to the homosexuals?
Tracey was easily the worst character.
>Doesn't last that long though
Neither did the Simpsons.
Tracey was pretty great. A lot of them were pretty perfect parodies.
It's just that Sup Forums forgets that Tina Fey is /ourgirl/ and that she's actually 3rd wave feminist, which is more of an "equal opportunities" struggle rather than "equal results" of the SJW 4th wave.
Sup Forums also forgets that 30rock was pretty balanced on mocking right/left wing, and often was just plain "racist" against Tracey for the sake of jokes. Heck, if anything Jack's right wing won most of the time.
>3rd wave feminism is a good thing
>no one knew who was the sluttiest
>but I showed them
>I showed them all
>I'm gonna kill that man!
>You just described my morning
great show. Tracy and Kenneth are the worst parts for me
Tina Fey did this with Mean Girls as well. Lohan's love interest was a younger, dumber, and better looking version of Jimmy Fallon, who Fey absolutely adores.
>I don't know. Diabetes repair, I guess?
Every line of Dr. Spaceman is absolutely hilarious
>I call it "Jefferson", only we're gonna do it like "Norbit", where I play all the parts!
>That's actually hilarious!
>But it's not a comedy. It's a drama.
