yeah if you're looking for varied song structures you should look elsewhere. to really get into his stuff i think you have to be on the depressive side, and a fan of repetition/monotony. i think he does it really well though. to me none of his songs are boring because there's always either some kind of forward movement in the music, or else the lyrics grab my attention.
i have a deep sentimental attachment to his stuff so in fairness i'm the last person to want to scrutinize it.
