I watched the documentary but was he always fucked in the head, or did that only happen after the acid hit? He seemed pretty okay before the fuckery he did in the middle of the documentary, and atleast seemed more sane then he ended up being. I cant tell if its meant to be a "story of an artist that never was" or "story of some autistic guy that gets worse as he goes on"
