Does Bolivia really look like this?
How do you feel about Ubisoft portraying your country as some non-functioning 3rd world, that need help from the Americans?

Of course it's shit, they accept communism
>Ubisoft portraying your country as some non-functioning 3rd world
I wish my cunt was portrayed in some game one day :(
How? Bolivia is full of mountains and dangerous roads.
Why not become a programmer and create a videogame based on Uruguay?
I am a programmer but a video game based in uy would be the most boring game evar
well what game is it
I spent the whole of April playing this game and I've already forgot about it
Why?
How do you imagine it to be for it to be boring? A farm simulator?
Then what is so interesting about Bolivia that someone used it as a location in a videogame?
stage 1 - nothing happens
stage 2 - nothing happens
stage 3 - smoke a joint and imagine things happening
the end
landscape and natives I guess
You could imagine that something happens then, a fiction story.
yea sure, but who would want to buy a game based on a fictional story in a fictional country?
too much effort with probably no rewards
nothing happens in Finland either but my summer car sold like hot cakes in steam
is it available for linux? I will give it a try
I don't know. I don't go through life picking fights that could be avoided.
post the link to the game in steam store pls.
how can you not know?
did you programed the game?
I would wager a guess it's the first result on google.
yup, just found it. no linux support tho.
That's just lazy, it runs on Unity.
It was made by one guy in his spare time though so I guess he had better things to do than linux support.
tell him he just lost a sell for not doing it, haha
Yeah Linux is pretty popular here too among nerds (who should be the target audience for a half-ironic video game) so he definitely lost more than one sale.
windows users should be exterminated, use OS X at least.
I've used all three extensively and I don't see any reason to not use Windows in the foreseeable future. Like I said I don't pick my nose for blood as the Finnish saying goes.
>How do you feel about Ubisoft portraying your country as some non-functioning 3rd world
They are not wrong
I have to use windows (Server 2012) at work and it sucks. Always getting in my way.
>you don't have permissions to do that
fuck you!
why don't you open a dialog asking for the root password?
is that too much to ask?
Yeah that shit is infuriating compared to unix where you can just sudo the commands that need it. At home I always have admin privileges and keep then active so it's not an issue.
fucking make stardew valley v2 in uruguay
i want 5% for giving you successful idea btw
>stardew valley v2
yeah it will be named Boredom Valley haha
As opposed to the non-stop excitement of the first one?
haha never played it but from the screenshot it looks very autistic thing
well it's addictive
i got 90h in a week
and since then i play quite rarely
>t. autistic kid
either that or make a game about fixing your routes goddammit
there are potholes everywhere and large trams where is all fucking crushed stone
i don't have all the time of the world to go to brazil
fuck you
i like watering tomatos ok?????
go by plane then, are you poor?
yes
fix your routes and stop wasting money on weed
who need routes when you can fly?
me
>captcha: 240 road
and the captcha
jeje
Oh I've played it too and enjoyed it. But it's not like thrilling action is the selling point.
Thought about replaying (I never finished it, got to second winter iirc) with the new maps they've added sincd but I haven't had a chance cause I'm trying to stay sober.
idk if it's autistic, it's not like factorio (which I also love). It's a very slow paced game built around a nice cozy atmosphere. You tend to your crops, talk to villagers, decorate your home, maybe go fishing if you have free time. Not a huge fan of pixel art myself but this game has amazing style and music. It's a like a combination of harvest moon and animal crossing. Wrap yourself in a blanket, get a hot cup of your favourite beverage and role play a small town community.
Why do you use linux?!
it works really well and it's free
>implying people pay for windows
>implying linux works well
it doesn't have to be realistic or plausible.
Imagine something like that: alien spaceship crash lands in local countryside, it's uncovered by some farmer. His nerd son figures out how to operate some of its machinery and goes to explore solar system. Or government seizes the craft and begins to study it, tasking one officer to keep it safe from spies of foreign powers and manage day to day operations of the research base. Or there's a hot alien waifu inside. Or it's not alien at all but precursor of some local tribe that violated an intragalactic treaty in returning to the old homeworld.
Or take any number of other bullshit plots:
>sea monster emerges from the sea and plants itself in a coastal industrial area
>a prospector uncovers nazi cryo pods
>local mafia builds up a conspiracy to seize political power
>local police officer builds up a conspiracy to topple the mafia
>socialist guerillas abduct mayor's daughter
>capitalist guerillas abduct mayor's daughter
>CIA abducts mayor's daughter
>beast of native's legends abducts mayor's daughter
It works better than windows, if you don't use proprietary software. I know that sounds dumb, but it's true.
Also, you should use Linux, and not an American OS.
you have a pirated copy of windows?
you downloaded an OS from the internet that was modified by hackers?
are you trolling me?
Its worse irl
woha is weed legal there too? you have a huge imagination, mang
You know, you could have downloaded win 8.1 a year ago, and gotten win 10 for free
>Imagine something like that: alien spaceship crash lands in local countryside, it's uncovered by some farmer. His nerd son figures out how to operate some of its machinery and goes to explore solar system.
I want to see a sort of absurd sci. fi. series with this plot; it would be like a new Farscape
>installing spyware on your pc on purpose
ok
it's kinda tolerated here, although I haven't tasted it. And that shit was pretty generic, it's execution that matters.
incidentally, a tech-journalist from a linux magazine tested allegations of the windows 10 being a spyware in a virtual box and found that they were greatly exaggerated. I recall when win 10 first came out and people on Sup Forums were linking to a russian propaganda web based in my country with those allegations.
pero mira esos ladrillos sin pintar papaaaaa
I know. I had gone to great length the first years to remove the spyware, but it fucked up my computer in the end.
I also realized that you are LITERALLY spyed on no matter what as long as you are online.
see
well duh, there's no escape from online tracking.
>implying linux works well
works flawlessly for all my needs, including gaming
Sounds like a game that a german would play
Bolivia doesnt have cities they all live in forests
you can use incognito mode haha
ok gouys I'm leaving the office. we had a good thread. have fun, bye
bye
I want a Bolivian to respond to my thread
Bolivia barely has internet
Bolivia is literally the worst country in SA
What about Venezuela?
Or Guyana and Suriname?
>non-functioning 4rd world
Fix
Nah I got one for free as a student.
I've used different linux distros as my primary OS for about 2 years, I've used OSX for about 5 and I have to use Ubuntu at school.
I don't want to go theough config files or stackexchange every time I try to play a video file in an obscure codec or even just install a basic software and get it running properly.
I'd rather have non-intrusive spyware than intrusive freeware. Besides it's not like I can avoid other forces spying on me online anyway. I know it's a horrible thing to say but I really have nothing to hide. I don't like the principle of spying one bit, but I don't oppose it enough to make my life more difficult to the degree linux requires. Even if it did work flawlessly which is far from true I don't want to go through the "is it available for linux?" thing you just experienced an hour ago.
>including gaming
Obviously it doesn't since you were just denied a game you were interested in because of it
Wtf Finland have pride in your national OS
I gave it a shot didn't I?
Also I think android is based on a linux kernel and I'm mobileposting right now.
Ubisoft is French.
I wasn't aware that Bolivia abolished private property, wage labor, and commodity production.
Idiot Argentine.
Bolivia is an underappreciated qt
Comfy people with a funny accent. Always working hard.
Tarija and Santa Cruz are beautiful and their food is delicious.
Salar de Uyuni is one of those places that you must go. Absolutely beautiful.
Also, Saya: youtube.com
I've also heard that Bolivia and Paraguay, despite being very poor, don't have the crime and violence epidemics which plague many other LatAm cunts, at least not nearly as much so.
That have the hdi and GDP of a literal African
Paraguay is 100x better than Bolivia, it has no poverty at all, it's feels pretty much like texas there.
It's an expression, but go ahead and look at some of Evo Morales' policies.
I've seen them. They're as modest of reforms as you can imagine.
did they add a new map? didn't know. i had nolifed since 1st day to 3rd year and got that machine that gives you iridium ore from granpa, and kinda lost interest after it.
are you addicted to playing games? if yes, better don't play it really, u can resist
They added like 4 or 5 new maps. It only changes the farm "screen", the rest of the map stays intact. They also affect difficulty and balance. But they (or I should say "he" since the game is literally made by one guy from code to art to music) also added dialogue and more romancable characters and other stuff since I last played it (steam/gog release).
>are you addicted to playing games
No, but I haven't enjoyed a video game sober in years. It's not that I can't have fun unless I'm high, it's very specific to video games. I just (accurately) feel like I'm wasting my time. I'd much rather read or go for a run or anything that at least leaves me with something. Making progress in vidya doesn't feel satisfying at all anymore since none of it's "real" if you know what I mean. That feeling in the back of my head prevents me from getting any enjoyment. I need weed to drown it out.
>that machine that gives you iridium ore from granpa
t-thanks for spoilers.
I never really got a big farm, I had just moved from manual watering to optimizing the layout for sprinklers. The winters were very boring because during the first summer I got an lvl. 14 dagger or something from an underwater chest (those are completely randomized) and it was more than enough to carry me all the way through the mines before the first winter even started. Without mining the winters are long and dull. Forced myself to endure the first one but the second one just killed my interest.
If I ever continue playing I'd start over and hope for worse luck with the RNG. Not that I didn't love that dagger.
>Does Bolivia really look like this?
No, that looks too orderly.
kys
>I just (accurately) feel like I'm wasting my time
I do too, unless I sit in my room for too long time, that I get a depression, and to reduce it, I find a sense of life in this games. Or more like, I stop caring about my real life and can be mindlessly grinding those games even hours after I'm exhausted. It's like I'm waking up to live my life in game during that period, and I had this 2 times (first time during that period I played Witcher 3 and it lasted longer). And I remember those times good, because I was actually enjoying games then, and didn't have this feeling that I'm wasting time.
But for example now, I do feel that I'm wasting a time while playing vidya, if there's no multiplayer, that gives me sense of having friends or socialization. For example in CS I don't feel like I'm wasting time, because I can improve my english, talk with someone etc. (don't like playing it that often anyway cus it's exhausting)
I also try to go biking or come in contact with art (music/paintings/movies/anime/books/whatever) at least once a day, and I feel better recently
(i wrote it cus i just felt like it)
I'm glad to hear that. I too struggled with depression and just forcing myself to leave the house, go for a long walk, bike ride etc. was what got me on the path back to a better life. After that for me it was the gym and literature that kept me going and motivated. But whatever it is for you it's important to find a hobby you like and which brings you joy.
It's not good staying indoors for too long. I could stay indoors for a week, only go for groceries once a week. My mom once said at least leave the house once every day, take out the trash or walk around the block. It was surprisingly good advice.
I know what you mean about multiplayer. The illusion of socialization is very appealing. Especially for me since I never played CS solo, always a 5 man party in teamspeak. I've played since 0.8 or something, long before Steam even existed so it's a blessing and a curse that I could alwayd find a 5-man any hour of the day.
At some point I just lost the interest in competing, maybe because it was almost like a job. All my friends were global, I went back between global and supreme. Watched pros, discovered nades and strats on localhost etc. And it wasn't even my only competitive game, I played and followed starcraft and dota too. Startef playing single player games almost exclusively. Then I lost interest in those too.
To be honest I don't think it's such a bad thing growing out of vidya. Sure I'm missing the great works from one form of entertainment but time is finite.
Alright dude it was fun talking with you. I appreciate what you wrote, and I have nothing to say, u seem to be kind guy
Have a nice life user and dont smoke too often
what fucking game is it
Well thanks for the courtesy (you) and good luck with all your endeavors.
Wildlands or some shit
Is this based of the north or the south of bolivia?
Honestly, it would have been a lot better in the triple frontera, fuck, even ISIS is in that border, creeps me
FPS with south american stuff fucking when?
They exist, and they usually suck.
that level was fun tho
Max Payne 3 takes place in Sao Paulo. It was pretty fun to be honest.
why all game take place in a favela?
>Paraguay, despite being very poor, don't have the crime and violence epidemics which plague many other LatAm cunts
PFFFFFT HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA
>Is this based of the north or the south of bolivia?
