yeah i listen to Tim a ton. Swinging Party and then the final trilogy of tracks is just tears. Let It Be is phenomenal as well. Both the album covers are amazing.
Demon Fuzz can't be rec'd enough
first wave black metal yes. I'm suddenly in the mood for all that good stuff. those Hellhammer recordings are just STUPID, probably my fav of that "wave no. 1".

recents
I said album covers, I meant album closers. btw.
>.whatthe.
I hate most southern hip hop. Sorry man. The aesthetic of southern rap isn’t for me.
I've listened Meliora, dug it alot. Will definitely check out the first 2 records.
Really digging demon fuzz
Blackout
Flying Lotus
thanks for the rec, I love Blackout, he's actually on that chart. I used the "remastered" solo tape cover instead of the usual bright blue one--and also the one he produced for Guice above it. I was debating on putting the Mayz Road Kartel/Snubnoze solo tape on there as well because that's just so good. Both the guys he produced for on the Playa Posse and Snubnoze sides of things were sooooo good at rapping over his shit too. I'd say you should probably start digging into the Sun Ra discography. I feel like you'd enjoy a lot of his "home recorded" albums from the mid 60s. Maybe start with Atlantis. or My Brother The Wind (youtube.com
h-hi
>Flying Lotus

You're Dead! and Cosmo are fantastic albums.

hm i'm not sure, love your chart though. the obvious answers would be tim hecker and grouper. maybe you'd like marissa nadler, weyes blood, and jenny hval though if you don't already listen to them? oh also colleen! definitely listen to colleen.
Funny enough I listened to Duke and thought it was like a worse version of Drunk.
haha nice, it doesn't have the same eccentricities i guess...you like stevie wonder though right?
I love Stevie. Consistently great artist.
Best albums are Key of Life, Talking Book, and Music of My Mind.
yesss, Songs in the Key of Life really changed my life...and then you have ones like Music of My Mind where he's playing every instrument which is truly mind blowing....very talented musician and beautiful songwriter
i dunno i like george duke still though despite him sort of occupying a similar space haha, maybe it's just my childhood attachment to anyone who played with zappa lol
I was actually upset I didn’t like it more. Have a big backlog of fusion albums.
I’m a little bit familiar with Zappa. Liked Freak Out! And Hot Rats a lot. My planned 1K listen for RYM is gonna be Lumpy Gravy since I love orchestras.
yeah i grew up listening to him so i have a lot of sentimental feelings and nostalgia attached to him, his music, and in duke's case the work of this collaborators
ooooh yes Lumpy Gravy is super cool, i'm glad u get to hear all those albums for the first time!
