>libertarian
>not close. don't respect him, mostly i fear him. i fantasize about punching him a lot but i'm always scared of him. i think he used to beat me when i was a kid.

father figure videos make me cry sometimes.

>democratic socialist in some areas, center left in others
>good relationship, not perfect but we get along and help each other out. Just watched 3 billboards outside of ebbing missouri with him which we both thought was great.

>Grouper - Dragging a Dead Deer Up a Hill

>I like Noam Chomsky
>We don't talk much anymore

>tie between sgt. pepper and negative capability
>it's complicated. I don't think there's any one way to do things, but there's a correlation between wanting power and ruthlessness. I don't trust any politicians and cannot be lumped into any political camp
>Got a close step-dad and reconnected with my biolog at age 9, pretty good relationship with both

>Social democrat

lol i thought your second green text was about your dad at first

Its hard to decide so i chose this, runner up is the first two mgmt albums and their latest. I hate his guts. He tries to manipulate me and the family so he can keep a steady image. Lost all feelings for him and if it werent for the fact he buys me shit and supports the family i wouldve left a long time ago. My brother is more of a father figure than he ever was.

Oh and im a near neutral libertarian

>social liberalism
>extremely distant, but on good terms. haven't seen him in over a year.

>centrist leans right
>pretty much not in my life since eight

>Socially & Environmentally Liberal, Financially Conservative. Tend to Vote Libertarian & Independent for Candidates.
>On very good terms, he was an excellent father & if I'm being 100% honest I'd usually rather spend time with him than my Mom. Only downside is he maybe worked too much when I was growing up but if he didn't we wouldn't have been able to get by.

Right-wing populism, according to that 8values test
When I was a younger teenager it was more like your experience, but he's a selfless guy that's only ever supported my family so I can't complain too much.

OP, are you conducting some kind of survey or are you as bored as I am?

no he didn't, stop trivializing rape.

>libertarian
>pretty good, except he used to yell at me a lot, and i didn't like that

>Faces by mac Miller (I know its a mixtape fuck you faggots)
>centrist left
>very good. Like brothers

>Joe's garage
>libertarian right, though I grow more authoritarian every time I take the test
>pretty damn good, we talk a lot of politics and music and sometimes about cars since he's been a mechanic all his life and I guess you would call me an enthusiast

>Social Democrat/Libtard
>p cool dude. Taught me a bunch of things and always seems to be there if I ever need him.

It's sad I'm more willing to mention my political ideologies, and my personal gamily relationships, than i am of sharing my favorite music on this board.

No offense. Just how i feel guys

>Circa Survive - Juturna
>libertarian socialist
>stopped talking to him and his side of the family entirely, when my mom left him he brainwashed my brother and i into thinking she was the bad one which caused a terrible relationship. not even sure if he's my real father.

>absolute monarchist
>very strong

>Depends on the issue. Liberal on some, conservative on others, center left on others
>Really good. He worked a lot growing up, but now we talk and spend more time together and have a much closer relationship. I love him a lot

>liberal on social issues
>Pretty good

>Liberal
>Very good, I call him on the phone daily and still see him quite a lot. We're polar opposites personalitywise, but I still greatly admire the man. I think I identify more with my Mother more-or-less nowadays though.

>Discovery
>Social Democrat according to an online test, although I swing a little with the topic
>Dad was never in my life, my two step-father's have been my dads. rest in peace to my first one.

good taste

>syndicalist
>pretty good, I'm probably more distant than I should be but we both love each other and talk daily. As a funny aside although my dad is basically a radical centrist he influenced a lot of my anti-corporatists views

>libertarian socialist
>Not close at all; abandoned me as a kid and his various phone calls to me are pretty one-sided in regards to affection. I don't plan on having him in my life in the near or distant future.

good tastes in music, user

Thanks senpai.

DESU my dad probably had the biggest impact on my music taste.

>social liberalism
>hate his fucking guts, manipulative and abusive. Haven't seen him in years

>Very very left wing
>I have a great relationship with my dad, I talk to him at least twice a week.

Libertarian

I love my dad. He has his flaws but I love him anyway. I admire him so much for all the things he has done to me and my brother. I will be really happy if I end up being like him if I ever be a father.

Forgot the album.

>Been into ambient the last couple years, and especially Wolfgang Voigt's stuff.
>far left, anarcho-syndacalism is cool. I am not very politically active though, but I follow politics closely.
>Great relationship with my father. He's a normie baby boomer, and we have very different world views. There is a mutual respect that I think has been a formative aspect of my adolescence and young adulthood. Very fortunate son.

HOLD THE PHONE
I can’t name an album I would consider my favorite, but what’s with the daddy issues???

I have a very fucked up past with my father and haven’t spoken to him in years, but I am shocked by the responses in this thread. Do y’all feel this pain or are you just LARPing

>dad yelled at me

Hahahahaha

>hate his guts
>buys you shit

Damn you’re a pussy bitch. Grow the fuck up and check your privilege. People are in this thread with some real shitty dads or none at all. You’re lucky you little shit. Stop pretending you’re sad when you listen to microphones like you have some real problems

>Social Libertarianism according to an internet test
>dad is a good person i like him and he likes me. we have very diferent worldviews and that gets in the way of our relationship for me

> Radiohead - OK Computer
> Libertarian Socialist/Democratic Socliast
> Decent. He lives & works in Norway (Im British)
and apart from political discussions (He's fairly right-wing), we get on pretty well. I see him a handful of times a year and I get to visit Norway fairly often and that's cool.

idk, i'm just curious about the correlation between music taste, political belief, and relationship with father. the more hipster/obscure usually the more deeply troubled.

you are so fucking pozzed go back to tumblr
>wrongthink

Libertarian in economy, and Conservative in everything else.
He is awesome, i never had a problem with him.

not him but my dad buys me everything, he paid for my college, i grew up in a rich family, but i still want to distant myself from him. he had really bad relationship with his father, so i suppose he also didn't know how to raise children. i do care about his wellbeingness, i just don't want to communicate with him or be near him. we're just never really close. nowadays i either fantasize about punching him or i don't talk to him or think about him. i don't blame him though, for anything. i just want to be as far as possible from him, i want to become someone that is the opposite of him.

i've also been addicted to this song. it makes me cry but somehow i like crying and sadness. happiness makes me feel left out.

capitalist futurist

i love my father
we are different in our tastes, principles, and temperaments, but we have a mutual respect
i don't think it's right to hold your parents in low esteem

Don't care about politics

Dad's been dead since i was 10.

kys

>libertarian right
>fantastic. Just some communication issues occasionally

>politics are for dumb people
>awkward, we are very similar in mannerisms and the way we think but everything else is different

he used to make me terribly anxious so its better now

all you wrote about our dad is exactly how i feel wow

>politics in itself, is ultimately completely unimportant. Develop your soul by doing art. If I had to say though, libertarianism/anarchism (same thing if taken to their logical conclusion) is obviously the only morally acceptable political system IMO, however, it's not currently possible in a practical sense, given how shitty people are. Practically, it's hard to say what political arrangement is least evil / least disastrous. Minarchism I guess.
>Pretty good. Better than it's ever been in the past.

my sis hates my guts and im too weird to connect with my dad. my mom loves me the most and it makes me uncomfortable at times

What?

There's no way you were not meme'ing. Were you not? I don't believe you. No one would describe themselves as neoliberal, unless maybe you misunderstand what it means. It's a pejorative.

>anarchist
>lose my shit constantly at how stubborn and retarded he has become with age

>pejorative
that word, I heard it like 5 times already in like a week

>slightly right and up from the middle, agree with some Republican standards (not the politicians), not very political I do believe in meritocracy
>language barrier really paralyzed our relationship early on in life but I grew up to understand the man, certainly understand now why he drank so much when providing for a just shy of middle class family, so distant but with great respect (and not just because we're inclined to as Asians.) Despite his brashness and drinking habits, he truly did sacrifice a lot coming to here. We drink on New Year's together and leave corny phone calls for my mother.
