Picturing yourself performing the song you're listening to in front of your high school

>picturing yourself performing the song you're listening to in front of your high school

played The Take Over, The Break's Over in front of my high school during senior year
after that, all I'd ever hear whenever anyone had a guitar was the song's riff
lasted till I graduated

feels good man

>Still doing this in your 20s

Is this an American thing?

YOU ARE EIGHTEEN YEAR OLD GIRL WHO LIVE IN SMALL CITY OF JAPAN

>been telling myself to stop doing that since I was 15
>am 19 now and still do

>picture showing albums to jerry and george

Is it?

>being in your 20s and still jumping around your room pretending to play guitar

when will it end

John Mayer still does it. he likes to play in front of a mirror and pretend he's in a music video

i'm 21 it never goes away

thats cute and you should not feel ashamed for doing that, i feel like most people do that

>me and my two best friends played Holiday by Green Day in our middle school talent show

I'm 30 and I still do this.
:(

>was going to play enter sandman at the middle school talent show
>guitarist dropped out to play paradise city by himself over a recording because he wanted attention
>couldn't find another guitarist

>guitarist wants us to play rocking the free world by neil young
>drummer didn't learn the song
>we didn't have a vocalist

>have a dream involving girl I had a crush on in 5th grade
>she moved away shortly thereafter
>look her up now and she turned out unbelievably average
She was a really beautiful ten-year-old, shame

i was in a black keys cover band in high school and i was screaming the fuck out of this song when i played it at the talent show. (we did black keys covers cause they only needed a guitarist/vocalist and drummer)

feel ya, i'm 28 and still do it all the time.

Me and three of my friends played Bodys by Car Seat Headrest at the talent show a few years back. Went way better than you would think, we ended up getting second place.

Catchykino
Thanks for the reminder

>not picturing yourself performing the song you're listening to in front of your high school while playing the song alone in your room

I still do this even thought I know most people I knew in high school hated the kind of music I listened to.
Whenever I would play something on guitar, even something as accessible as Mood For a Day by Yes, it was always "play Ed Sheeran! Do you know any Taylor Swift?" and then song kid would jack my guitar, play four bar chords or some power chords with way too much distortion, and make everyone swoon. Was I jealous? Absolutely. But all I really wanted was something who didn't think the harmonics in Nosferatu Man were just "my guitar breaking."

I keked hard

> Been doing this since I was 10
> Always to the same songs
> Imagine me and my friends in a band (none of us actually played instruments)
> Me on guitar
> Playing a live show
> Am 19 now
> Am actually in band with friends now
> Actually play guitar now
> Actually play live shows
> Mfw I still do this (even to the songs we actually fucking play)

I'm 27 and it goes away once you stop being an attention-starved faggot

HOW DID YOU KNOW?

>picturing yourself dramatically committing suicide as you listen to sad music
>everyone mourns your absence

never

>picturing yourself writing/performing a song so good your ex takes you back

>picturing yourself being able to sing really well and collab with your favorite artists and your crush's favorites too so you guys end up dating

nigga try 30's
there's so many songs I wish were mine

ok that's autistic

>picturing yourself committing suicide as you purposelessly lying in your bed
>no one worries
>"think I need some music"

My dad does this and he’s in his 50s

>picturing yourself jamming with friends that won't ridicule your taste

pedo fuck off

I did this all the time. Stopped for years and then it came back one day then went away again.

aussie here

no it's not

i'm literally doing this right now

i've always pictured myself having written and recorded the song that i currently listen to, and playing it for me friends and them all being blown the fuck away

fuck me dead

Wtf I do this all the fucking time

lmao I actually did this after an event and we were supposed to have a crowd but they told everyone to leave so we played to the cleanup crew.

played the ventures and rage against the machine

>picturing yourself being the musician and singing along to an album like you're doing a live show
