>Indians announcer specifically references that 20 is the American League record and that 26 is the ML record
Sup Forums BTFO

dodgers win

people only care about the expansion era though

Was this the turning point of the Indians' season?

I have literally never heard of anything in MLB being referenced to "Since 1969" or "in the expansion era". Meanwhile I've heard "Modern Era" more than frequently

>dibbledabbledoobledibbleseebleevildobbledidledododlyodlyodlyodlyodloydlody

by now no one doubts corey kluber is the best pitcher in the majors right? kershaw is going to decline pathetically with all his injuries and playoff PTSD while klubot will continue to coldly dominate both the regular and post season

probably the 20 game win streak

HOSKINS

wait for the postseason

HOSKINS HOMERED AGAIN

undoubtedly, yes

Kek wills it

Mets suck ass, jets suck ass. Can't hockey come any faster?

When I was a kid, there were the medal eras, gold, silver and bronze, and WE were the modern era, the 80's and not much later than that I mean
I imagine Modern means something different these days, what era are you referencing then??

Fucking Hoskins

Modern Era, in terms of baseball refers to 1901 and onward.

Sup Forumsstros!

>Ninny league
Minor league records don't count

kershaw CAN'T lose tonight
r-right?

the real ML record is 21, by the '35 Cubs. anyone with a brain recognizes that a tie is not a win

Yes, and anyone who has looked things up realizes that Major League Baseball does not recognize the tie present in the Giants 26 game win streak. As stupid as it is(and I do disagree with it), that's just how they call it

...

The last time a team had a 20 win streak in the regular season they were eliminated by the Twins in the ALDS.

WELP

we're both wrong
I used the Internet
I looked it up
>gold era
fucking ken burns

This time they'll be eliminated by the Astros

ehh

netshrine.com/era.html
whoops

Nah, it'll be the Twins again

...

the real deal is that only Elias Sports Bureau recognizes the '16 Giants as a winning streak instead of an unbeaten streak. They are the "official" statisticians of MLB.

Something similar occurred in cfb years ago when a team had a long winning streak over two seasons, and everyone was arguing about the record they had broken. Turned out the old record holder had a tie in their streak, so cfb only recognized that as an unbeaten streak and not a winning streak.

I'm gonna look that one up.

>Neris blowing it again

>rags

...

Imagine being the Doyers. Not only are you in the middle of a horrible losing streak, but you have to watch the Minnesota Twins of all teams beat a team that nearly swept you by more runs than you scored in the entire series.

He might get 1 or 2 good starts against the Sux but he's getting lit up in the CS if they advance

found it. it was in 1957. Oklahoma had a 47 game winning streak. the old streak was 40, set by Washington in 1914. But Washington had a 64-game unbeaten streak that included 4 ties.

To this day the OU streak is recognized as the real longest winning streak.

>for now...

IT JUST KEEPS HAPPENING

>DOYERS

He's either been dominant or shat the bed against us over the years. It all depends on which Verlander they get that night.

kershaw just gave up a hr to a little boy
can the dodgers possibly get any worse?

>DOYERS

it's happening

>captcha PIECES RINGS

>red sox win

>this jints defense

I still don't trust the Jints.
I want to, but I can't.

IT'S HAPPENING

Doyers probably win tonight, but is it too late?

How 'bout det Dodgers defense?

Indians with an amazing 20 game win streak! History in the making, folks. Surely their fans turned out in droves to watch. Let's see...

>Attendance 24,654 (66.9% full) - % is based on regular season capacity

pretty gud desu

even before taylor, pooegg had a nice throw that hopped right over the third base bag

>24,654

they can probably still pull off some meme form heading into the playoffs but they're gonna be overtaken at 1st seed at this rate

I'm actually impressed that many were able to dodge the bullets and swim across the river on fire

AHAHA IT'S REAL
>the shitty of Leaveland

can you imagine spending your time shitposting about another teams attendance?
how sad

And Bellinger with those Spiderman hops.

Imagine if Adrian Gonzalez was at 1st tonight?

Well there can be a pretty chilly breeze sometimes near the stadium so it's actually understandable.

We're just hardcore baseball fans, bro. We want to see greatness appreciated. Totally understand when the shitass A's can't draw flies, but the Indians?

What's up with Cleveland? Fans will turn out by the figurative millions to watch Lebron take a shit, but a historic baseball team can't fill up the park?

imagine if jints didnt have a blind man in left and a kid at short

>watch Lebron take a shit
Link me to this immediately.

how many times have you posted variations of this? what do you actually get out of it? sincere question

yes the injuns have a disproportionately low attendance but also the second highest TV ratings in the league. it's really not a topic to be hysterically obsessed with unless the injuns like raped your family or you're insecure about them being good. just calm it man

why cant dodgers fans just fill the indians stadium
hmm

but why do you care? you can still watch it?

Spamming is a global rule violation

Small crowds for that cozy hole-in-the-wall feel

Lifelong Indians fan here, honestly didn't even know we still had a baseball team until someone from out-of-town told me they were on some kind of streak

I said the Indians! I thought we sold them off to Florida. And he said naw, still here. I'll be dipped, I said, shucks and golly. Well as it turns out Cleveland has a baseball team after all! I'll run out right away and tell absolutely nobody because fuck them and their shit streak

PHILLIES WIN

>mfw watched Klubot get shutout victory for twenty in a row with 24k+ fellow tribebros and random tiggers

feels good, afrikaners

yikes

>poopeeg

this edit is aging well

>24k+
Nice how was the Rays game

Took them long enough. Time to go to bed.

...

Until they blow it in the playoffs.. again.

even though i have been thru 2 "it was 3-1" in my lifetime, i want to believe senpai

>watching rockies/d-backs

Holy fuck, CarGo. Three straight pitches out of the zone and three straight pitches where you could tell he had his mind made up to swing before de la Rosa even released the damn ball. He's losing so much money with his play this year.

> Indian """""""""fans""""""""

Then he completely misreads a fly ball to right on defense...

>gingers

>0-11

He says as he becomes more and more nervous.

You don't like paneer or something?

The Dodgers choke in the postseason and September

Seriously how does this happen

Holy shit is this real?

IT KEEPS HAPPENING

is it still happening?

ha wow okay Check this out hehe wow

oh hey I'm not the same person but I'm replying to this post I didn't make hhehe wow am I right or what

I'm also not the same person also replying about this thing no one cares about wow nobody knows kek btfo pretty soon EVERYone is going to FINALLY talk to me and be my friend and think I'm cool guy my life is worth living

so who /latenightbaseball/??

Can't even believe this, but wow...

Indians relocated to Montreal to become the Expos v.2 when?

Ownership must be looking around for new cities. 50% attendance during a now legendary win streak? That feels painful, physically painful, just to write that out.
Imagine the disappointment behind closed doors.

DG too embarrassed to post in /mlb/

but the Dodgers WILL win, right?
