What do you envy the most about the USA?

What do you envy the most about the USA?

Their gun freedom.

Their attitude the fuck all ya'll we're the greatest in the world one.

The variety of stuff you can find in their supermarkets and shops

Don't all countries have that?

Guns are overrated desu

You can find guns
Back to school kind of guns

You're overrated.

-t. Never gone shooting with friends

that luck is always with them, luck is always with idiots.

No hate speech shit

t. gone shooting friends

You're not supposed to shoot your friends, silly. The range usually provides convicts for that (Utah).

Freedom of expression and generally freedom.
One of the most important parts of being human and it's oppressed in so many parts of the world

Large swaths of uninhabited land. I guess it comes with being a huge country, but they actually did a pretty good job of preserving them, and I like the snowy landscapes up north quite a bit.

Nothing really. If I really wanted a gun I could get one and I've never felt constrained by our hate speech laws. I suppose I envy their ostensibly unconstrained free speech but then again their government consistently brutalizes protestors exercising their supposed rights. Maybe the purchasing power of their dollar but there's nothing I want that I can't afford so that doesn't really count either.

>Watch old French movies
>Spain mentioned
>They're not making fun of us
>No retarded anglo sterotypes either
Childhood is consuming anglo media, adulthood is realizing French media makes more sense.

Same, guns.
No.

Where's this meme coming from?

Why do people think that America has any more measurable freedom of speech than any European country this side of the Iron curtain at the very least?

They just have a bunch more freedom over where they spend their money, by being less taxed but having more expensive stuff at their disposal in order to live as confortably as us (i.e. health insurances as opposed to healthcare).

But their freedom of speech isn't any different from everyone else's

>He doesn't consume his own country's media

Their superiority in every field

...

>But their freedom of speech isn't any different from everyone else's

Huh. Fair enough, I guess.

Do you have more examples?

Nazi symbols being banned in Germany, but it's similar to the American's picture. I'd like to know more concrete examples as well

Canada has de facto Islamic blasphemy laws but I don't know too much about that. Brits can get arrested for mean tweets.

Our President literally is down to fire nukes at NK and obliterate them. It's basically what this Aussie posted.

France and the UK also have it, although less deservingly so.

Yeah, I'll concede that Nazi/Holocaust related things are a good point.

But that's a punctual occurrence. It doesn't really mean "more free" in any meaningful way.

This kind of stuff is a better point, but it generally doesn't affect every country.

Although I guess that if every country has one and you guys don't, it puts you in the lead.

But it's not like people from Europe go around afraid of saying anything, or something. The UK is trickier because they don't have an actual constitution.

Cheap beer
Cheap gas
Cheap fast food
Trucks and muscle cars are cheap
Liquor stores everywhere

That's pretty much it. I already own guns.

no

>What do you envy the most about the USA?
>Their gun freedom.

more or less the same

and it really matters where in the US too.

but even in those "rights" they are begining to feel like every other socialist yuropean shithole

Literally this, plus all those 24 hours open stores and the variety of stuff.

I dont care for guns, they're for hillbillies in my opinion.

>american guns
lol
pigeon caliber
non auto
low capacity

first things first: 80% of casualties in modern armed conflict comes out of artillery
other 20% between machineguns, snipers and explosives
small arms are basically just psychological factor
just like helmets, or boots, or uniforms
none of that shit matters, its there just to make you feel good

if you wanna carry out an assault or siege something or defend yourself, you are going to need radars much more than small arms

Only shitty states have bad gun control laws. California, New Jersey, and New York are some examples. Some European countries do better than US states. Overall though gun freedom isn't going away anytime soon for conservative states. Oklahoma for instance has extremely minimal gun regulation.

>Cheap beer
>Cheap gas
>Cheap fast food
>Trucks and muscle cars are cheap
>Liquor stores everywhere

fucking shit what are you stuck in the 80ies or what?

You've clearly not been in the jew and improved USA

it's literally russian tier

Owning guns in a country/state where you can live 3 hours away from the closest police station makes sense, desu.

The whole anti-gun argument is only valid for more urban states.

I love it when kek agrees

Vermont is pretty liberal due to the NY/MA diaspora, and we have fantastic gunlaws and an actual centrist republican governor.
Don't move here though, we're full.

>Cheap beer
No idea, I don't drink so I wouldn't know.

>Cheap gas
It's 2.20 dollars a gallon, or 0.49 euros per liter here, which isn't the cheapest state for gas.

>Cheap fast food
You can get a day's worth of calories for pocket change. Food costs almost nothing.

>Trucks and muscle cars are cheap
True for both new and used.

>Liquor stores everywhere
Pretty much.

I visit the twice a year.
Compared to Sweden the USA is cheap as hell.
Take a Challenger Hellcat for example. It's more than twice the cost here in Sweden...

lol no

perhaps you want to be more specific where you live first.

since USA is already their own mini nations

>Compared to Sweden the USA is cheap as hell.

For you. When I compared my cost of living between where I live in the Netherlands and some random university that I was considering for a position, I found it was like 30% more expensive in the US and it was not even a very famous city. Food and accommodation where both more expensive.

>Vermont is pretty liberal due to the NY/MA diaspora, and we have fantastic gunlaws and an actual centrist republican governor.
>Don't move here though, we're full.

Poles in charge of reading.

What city?

It depends on where in the US you go as well. I mainly visit the south since I have family there.

Don't study in America lmao it's not for foreigners. Stay in your country, although if you decide to work in the U.S after finishing your studies you'll notice your pay is higher and less taxes compared to EU regulations. Some American cities are nice to consider like Seattle or Boston.

HAHA oops sorry

so many retards here on this shithole sight it's becoming a habit of jumping to conclusions without reading the entire post first.

I need some time off from here

who cares about anything but the south 2bh

I envy their thuff almost criminal police brutality... Because I live in a human right shithole where the thief has more rights than a police.

m.youtube.com/watch?v=uGyLM2-BMRU

That's just because you're German

>who cares about anything but the south
I do. It's a wonderful place with amazing people, food and culture. Sure beats the damn yankee states.

So much of this.
Also, you work a small amount of time in some random shit and you can buy games, tv's and almost anything you want, where i come from buying a tv or a decent computer means years of debt and worries.

Fuck Amerishit. I love you France and you cute French anons

learn to read
>BUT the south
learn to read
>belgian

Sorry, I read it as "about".
I'm drunk off my ass.

Meanwhile, in Texas

It's ok, I just wish I could visit the south with you desu

Bah just save up for a cheap flight.
The food and living situation is dirt cheap over there anyways. 3 months of hotel rent/food and booze cost me less than my monthly rent does here in Sweden..

>mfw USA doesn't have freedom to teach science especially evolution in schools.

At least where I live people never stop giving me shit for having perfect weather and not going outside to appreciate it all the time

the fuck is that

Ah yes Seattle,
>10000 bums on the street
>feel entitled to your money and let you know it
>cringe tier people getting meme degrees then demanding $15 an hour at their fast food job
>terribly implemented bike lane system
>prices through the roof
>housing bubble near bursting
Tree state is great, but king and pierce county really make living here frustrating. Its becoming california 2.0

...

>europe is one country
tyrone pls, you are north korea compared to us (us as in serbia, because "europe" doesnt even exist as anything other than geography)

All the junk food

Heh. All they are listing are things that are frowned upon, not that are illegal.

I like it it's 100times better than California avoiding leftist is easier too.

honestly can't think of anything

WHat? most foreign posters are self hating cucks

Contrary to the popular perception, and all of our boasting, American gun laws are actually pretty shitty.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Firearms_Act
Requires a lengthy 6-8 month paperwork process (that is a license in everything but name) and the payment of a $200 tax to own:
- fully automatics
- guns disguised as other devices
- conventional handguns with a vertical fore grip*
- rifles with a barrel

In 1986 production of new machine guns for the general public was completely banned. Existing ones can still be owned though.
In 1989 George H. W. Bush signed an executive order banning the importation of any firearm that exceeded a number of features (threaded muzzle, folding stock, etc.).
In 1994 congress passed the "Assault Weapons Ban" which essentially took Bush's import ban concept and applied it to domestic production as well.
It also banned >10 round magazines. Thankfully, the AWB lapsed in 2004, though the cunts in D.C. have been pushing for a new one ever since.

The only good things about American gun laws are that we can do private transfers of most guns and you can concealed carry in most areas. That's really it.
People think we're some sort of bastion of gun rights, but you can honestly argue that Switzerland and the Czech Republic have more freedom when it comes to firearms.

Basically, if you want a generic handgun or a generic AR you're pretty set. But if you want anything exotic you can either pay out the ass, or you're just plain shit out of luck.

*This has only ever gone to court once and the charge was thrown out. The ATF maintains that it's still illegal, but who the fuck knows.

2/2

Just shop at Superma or City Market pleb, there's also a store that specializes in having the exact same shit that you can find in American supermarkets in case you have an appreciation for frozen corn dogs and weird Mountain Dew flavors.

>But their freedom of speech isn't any different from everyone else's

I can stand on a sidewalk and talk about how homosexuals should all be killed.

Can you do that in, say, Austria?

Well, we can have literally everything the clappers can, pic related, me, my otouto and my friend's guns. 3 of them are mine.

I used to be jealous of how easy it is for them to get their funs, but harder access does have its points. I mean, now I at least feel special for owning guns.

Legally? I think so.

People would kick your shit in, but so would Americans, probably.

>Their gun freedom
Fuck yeah

Absolutely nothing

Their blind belief they're the greatest country on earth while they have;
1. Worst healthcare for the masses of the G8
2. Most gun related deaths in the world, exceeding deaths from terrorism worldwide!
3. The belief there is a way out of their $20T financial predicament.
4. Some of the most draconian tax laws in the world
5. The variety of goods, now all made in China. The next superpower.
6. The sheer amount of money they spend on their military, yet they can't exit conflicts successfully.
7. Crumbling infrastructure, overpopulation and cities in decay.
8. Constitutional amendments which are tread upon daily. Thanks based NSA.
9. Like above, soon to become a nanny state. Citizens under the watchful eye of the fed.

What kind of guns can you get in Sweden?

what exactly are you shooting though?

just random shit like birds that fly over you or pieces of cardboard with targets printed on them?

Target and skeet shooting are a lot of fun. Hunting is great too but I don't reccommend shooting random birds

Same as us in Finland. The details are different but overall our laws are pretty similar.

Small arms forced burgs out of Somalia. Also, a lot of Americans own guns to resist tyranny, and you can't effectively use artillery and air power against your own population. Well, at least without sparking a full-fledged civil war and ruining your infrastructure in the process.

Their freedom of speech.

At least legally. In practice they probably have less freedom of speech than here.

Targets, junk, cans. Pretty much anything. You can even buy small lumps of explosives at most gunstores and shoot those.

I'd hate to be Canadian. So close to being American, yet so far.

Small arms are also really fun, which is the main reason.

Among the other things mentioned in this thread, I really appreciate the cheap gas and loose laws on vehicles here.

I find it disturbing that an adult who keeps so many of those teletubbies dolls in his home also owns an assault rifle

>I'd hate to be Canadian.
That's because you don't know anything about Canada. Back to the very blind belief Americans have about how wonderful their country is.

>Small arms are also really fun, which is the main reason.
Yeah, guns are in your constitution because they're "fun".

Free speech, guns, wealthy, not a nanny state

Why? Do his freedoms upset you?

But what does that mean? In Canada, we can get Chinese guns for instance so I own a Type 81, 88 and 97. I also own a G36 and UMP, shitload of AR's and a 551, 552 and 553. All guns Americans don't have minus the AR's

GREAT post

No I just hate all amerisharts. Especially Chicanos.

May be related to us being one of the biggest importers of Murican freedom.

>But what does that mean?
It means that literally nothing is banned, but some things are hard to get, like full auto, breech loaded artillery and rocket/missile systems (no joke, our gun laws specifically mention those and state that only collectors can get permits for those). Look a couple posts above and you'll see my funs, which is an example of what is readily available for civvies.

What's it take to get a collectors permit?

In here, iirc 5 years of owning guns. Then you need to state the theme of your collection and demonstrate your knowledge of firearms that fit the theme of your collection. An example of a collection would be like 'guns used in rhodesian bush war'. You can also have multiple concurrent collections.

An example of a themed collection: guns used by Finnish defence forces.
youtube.com/watch?v=IspQdG-cNcM

>Then you need to state the theme of your collection
odd. Can it be anything?

>hillbillies

Serbia friend, you don't have niggers in your country, so this is going to surprise you: Guns can be used outside of war

>literally russian tier
You would know

>Large cities, full of police
>Where all the violent crime happens
>anti-gun argument valid
MFW
