Thank you, I've always wanted more shit to use gregorian chants. Do more. Go for like a more spacey atmospheric sound with a slower beat

Are there any bands that meld shoegaze and mathrock? What would that be called? "Mathgaze?"

>Doom Jazz
are you being serious right now

"doom disco" makes me think of 80s goth music pretty much the vibe.

i have wanted to do this with bagpipes for years.

melodic gothic country is a well-established thing. doomgrass, deathgrass, lots of psychobilly stuff, all related areas of music. it works pretty well i dig it.
youtube.com/watch?v=ynA0sdAqPxA

what would post-neofolk look like to you? doom rap sounds kinda good. "ritual" and "death" synth both definitely exist.

Those were breton pipes and hurdy gurdys

eh, i wouldn't classify bohren as doomjazz

more like noir-jazz

And yet you would classify the Mt Fucking Dumbass Corporation as doom jazz just because it's on the name. Bohren had been using the term "doom-laden jazz" since the 90s

Clarence Clarity No Now

>Mt Fucking Dumbass Corporation

I apologize for not knowing history, haven't heard much of Bohren outside of Dolores and beyond. I'd say Mt FUji still has a doom sound to it, albeit less refined than Bohren's.

Chameleons for dream punk

>combining genre names that negate eachother by their very definition

which ones, or are you retarded?

>alt-blues clues
the horrors that would unfold would be unfathomable

You somehow want drone, which relies on sustained, unchanging notes, to be complex and technical enough to be considered "math".

You somehow want neoclassical music which relies on the traditions of the Common Practice period to be composed and executed within the timbric and technological parameters of a type of music that negates it.

You want a minimalist, lo-fi, aggressive form of punk rock to conform to the aforementioned common practice period, and want to unplug the guitars on a genre defined amongst other things by its thick distortion and heavy riffs.

At least ambient blackgaze makes sense, since all blackgaze is atmoshit anyway. Should I go on or do you have a couple more ad homs to shoot my way?

>Schwarzeneggercore
