None of these look good, though it's clear they want to. They took shot ideas that were good in other movies but drained them of the bright palette, emotional tone, or actually having something to shoot.
We've got enter the 36th Chamber of Parliament in the top corner, lets show off some muted kimono colors, and a shot that's just an over the shoulder of a guy writing.
Also the classic game of "how many times can I set a silhouette against the skyline", and only maybe once actually use the effect at that. A lot of the time it's just done to show off how bad the photographer is at capturing Japanese architecture.
