Of the pop punk that came out during the period, definitely one of the most interesting- the electric/dance and baroque elements set it apart from like Ocean Avenue or TOYPAJ
shit
Great but Pretty Odd is better
>raids
grow the fuck up man
I love this album, how the first half incorporates electronics and the second half incorporates vaudeville/cabaret.
The lyricism is also pretty great on this album. Ryan Ross was Panic's best writer.
Though my favorite Panic album is Pretty Odd, some of my favorite songs are on Fever.
Camisado, Time to Dance, Nails for Breakfast, But It's Better If You Do, Build God Then We'll Talk.
And I agree, tumblrinas are a cancer in any fanbase.
What do y'all think of their post-Pretty Odd output? I thought Vices and Virtues had some pretty decent songs but everything afterwards has been super rocky
i hate it a lot less than i did when it came out but still don't particularly like it
Vices is my favorite Panic! album.
I like Vices, has some really good songs, Trade Mistakes, Memories, Turn Off the Lights, Sarah Smiles, Nearly Witches.
I really wasn't looking forward to Too Weird, but when it came out I could not stop listening to it.
It's not a great album but I really love Too Weird since it's a real fun album to listen to.
Death of a Bachelor is my least favorite Panic album.
It has some good songs like Golden Days, Crazy=Genius, Emperor's New Clothes
But at this point it's solely "The Brendon Urie Show".
It's definitely the weakest album from Panic since it doesn't quite have a distinct style they're incorporating, unlike most of their previous albums.
It does have some jazz elements in some of the songs but the album is kinda messy and underwhelming.
It was my fucking jam.
Now it isn't, but that's okay.
Somebody needs to make a 'guilty pleasure core' chart. I swear I see this album and The Black Parade every fucking day.
I think it's great, one of the best pop-punk albums ever honestly

>I Write Sins, Not Tragedies
Is it really overrated if it's the best track on the whole thing, though?
>implying anything after vices isn't just brendon urie
>implying it's the best track
nah
It's their best album for sure and one of the best pop punk albums of the 2000s. They went to crap pretty fast after their sgt pepper ripoff album. my sister still loves this band.
>my sister still loves this band
How old is she?
people will say its good now bc nostalgiafaggotry but its really not at all, its an artifact of all the bad pop punk and record producer tropes of the 2000s when everything started to be recorded in DAWs
It pretty much cemented them as my favorite band. The transition from dance music to the piano based stuff is pretty unique, and the lyrics are pretty good for the era. Pretty Odd seemed like a great evolution, and Vices and Virtues kinda blended the feel of both previous albums. Too Rare started to appeal to the mainstream but Death of a Bachelor is probably the weakest of the albums, but i think it's more because there's no one except Urie's influence on it. Dallon Weekes is such a great songwriter and it's a shame that he wasn't allowed to contribute more.
never would i have pictured an Sup Forums that is actually seriously discussing panic at the fucking disco
They're an good band that's ruined by the tumblarina fans
Yeah, why does every member of the band end up leaving after a couple albums? Is Urie just an insufferable asshole or control freak, or what?
20, sad isnt it
Panic! At The Discos Discography:
>Fever you can't sweat:Emo pop punk burlesque, dance hall success. Titles of songs be long as Fuck.
>Pretty Odd: Fuck that emo shit we Beatles now! Lyrics make no Fucking sense
>Vices and Virtues: Fuck you guys, Brandon and Spencer are Panic! now. Took the best elements of vices and pretty odd and made a fucking album, while the other two who left the band made a album flop
>Too Weird: We Brendon now! Goodbye rock and roll, hello electro pop. Also this is where his vocals turned super sayain
>Death of a Bachelor: God tier voice, great production, good mix of genres like the first album. Still uses the Panic! name even though it's literally just Brendon.
Man this was in the wave after Ocean Ave & TOYPAJ, though
Correct. Vices had glimpses of goodness, but the two albums afterward have both been 1/5-level trash :(((
Unfortunately every album they've released has been weaker than the one before it.
Excuse me, are you from tumblr?
trash.
PATD is for edgy 15 year olds who have a small group of friends and they hang around and smoke weed by school. Not to mention they are depressed, suicidal, and emo too. They also have black eyeliner.
P!ATD was for people who didnt smoke weed but wanted to fit in with people who did
Anyone who likes P!ATD's albums is a fag and most likely gay as well.
PATD is many things but they're not edgy.
Brendon has the voice of a God though.
