No, it was probably just one of his first purchased records so he holds a fondness for it.

Every MGMT concert is a bunch of people looking bored and trying their hardest to like but ultimately only barely withstanding half cooked wannabe psych-rock so they can hear Kids and Electric Feel.

That is all they are.

Mgmt are different things to different people user.

Some may disagree. In my years of collecting I haven’t heard a bigger difference between the record and 320mp3. Their self titled sounds extremely shrill and the vinyl cuts that while making it way more spacious so the wacky production actually makes sense.
