One chord is fine. Two chords is pushing it. Three chords and you’re into jazz.

I have listened to freeform Jazz (1)once so there

>says he loves music
>can't play
watching movies isn't a hobby, making movies is. listening to music isn't a hobby, making music is.

People can love music and not enjoy genres.
I love music and I don't like metal/harsh noise. Does that mean I'm not a music fan?

I made three shitty edm albums with less than 500 views in the past 10 years, what do I win?

No, it means you’re an adult with taste

>watching movies isn't a hobby
Want me to tell you how I know you don't talk to people?

Jazz is the false liquidation of art - instead of utopia becoming art it disappears from the picture.

I gave it a whirl for a little while. Never stuck with me.

>says he loves music
>thinks some genres are inherently better than others

That's ok, not everyone has to like everything.

>making movies is a hobbie
shit maybe if you're rich

>jazz
>music

So by that logic...
>The value of art depends on the values of the art critic.
>Most art is born as imitation, not innovation.
>The critic, not the artist, is the one who defines innovation, and rates it.
>The artist is merely a vehicle for the aesthetic/ideology of the critic.
>The critic is the real artist.

Is he actually wrong?

paper and pencil are cheap
you can always write scripts

>Is he actually wrong?
no

When is he ever wrong?

Scripts are not movies you know

lol do you know how the world functions

yeah well i don’t give a fuck if anybody has a hobby or not, and I guarantee that I, everybody on Sup Forums, and most random strangers would never be moved, learn anything new, or want to hear more of the music you’ve made.

Well yeah, I love music so I'm not going to listen to non-music.

Pretty sure loving music doesn't mean you have to listen to all genres. To me, loving music is just appreciating its history, significance in culture, its impacts and achievements, and having a large knowledge of it in many areas. Besides, have you actually seen all the genres out there? It's fucking insane. Rock, country, jazz, pop, rap, and those are just the surface. If you go deeper, there's a lot of shit. I'm talking shit you didn't even think was a thing.
