It's not whining. We got shafted by the boomers over and over who told us to get college degrees so we could get jobs and then left us high and dry once we did.
They're ruining this country. Capitalism is failing. We need basic income sooner than later. Nobody should have to starve in the streets. That's not entitlement, it's basic human decency you shill.

No, we still have GenX fucking up our shit as well. They're the ones responsible for the hugboxes (thanks to their boomer parents teaching them that bullshit) all around us, and also the ones pulling a lot of the strings in capitalist society these days (read, choosing to outsource all our jobs). GenX is just as guilty as the boomers for fucking over Millennials.

Sorry, but you're barking up the wrong tree here. I served in the military to be able to pay my way through college. I have a wife and two kids and we manage to make our way and have some amenities while we do it. It still doesn't change the fact that both Boomers and GenX are the ones responsible for many/most of the ills in the world today. Millennials haven't had a chance to fuck anything up, and thanks to what the last two generations are leaving us, don't have any desire to go out and try to fix it. We'll just let it all burn to the ground, because in the end, it's not going to hurt us - we don't have anything to begin with. You old fucks are the ones who are going to be losing property and pensions, and all those other fun things that most millennials will never have access to to begin with, since all you leave for us is service sector jobs.
Stop trolling and bend a knee to the only generation alive that can actually do something to fix the rotting husk of the west.

The entire educational industry is a giant inflated bubble. There are too few low-skill jobs, and too many people saying to get a college degree in order to do anything with your life. The effect is that 60-70% of people going to college really have no desire to be there, and are taking random classes and choosing majors strictly based on what will allow them to graduate. All the time they're doing this, they're also getting charge 10x more than previous generations because there is more demand than supply, so millennials are getting fucked on both ends.
Anecdotal example: my wifes parents went to community college some ~40 years ago and paid nothing for their classes. My wife, went to the same college at the tail end of GenX (she's just barely a Millennial) 10 years ago paid $36 for a 3 unit class. I was in the military and started college late, went to the same community college, and was paying over $300 ($314 iirc) for a 3 unit class.
Capitalism works fine, as long as supply and demand aren't being artificially inflated, as they are in the college industry.
Xavier Torres

You have no idea how badly I want a job that tests my ability. Hard work would be fucking great. I can't find anything though, it's all shit, and the only jobs that hire regularly are ones that offer the most mind numbing bullshit work available. Never went to collage. Been making 12 an hour for the last 8 years.
Just finished off my mortgage at 25, bought a brand new Ford F150, and quit my job. While I wasnt working I was busy studying the stock market, and saving cash to gamble on it. I turned 20k into 200k within a year and bought off the house I now live in.
Its not even that these people are lazy, or dont work hard - its that they dont invest well. Not money, either: they just dont make good investments of personal time. I worked my cock off for a scant 8 years, and now I'm semi-retired.

Benjamin Allen
Maybe you missed the part where I said I did well for myself. I'm going to school for something I enjoy (and being paid relatively well to do so, enough that I actually get to be part of my childrens lives rather than having to hold down 2 other jobs), and I've been working on starting up a product line. You can stop with that troll line anytime.
>Obama had two terms thanks to useful idiots like them. And B.Clinton had two terms thanks to GenX idiots, and Lyndon B Johnson had two terms thanks to Boomer idiots, and FDR had 4 terms thanks to the Greatest idiots. Whats your point? Every generation in the past 100 years has voted for gibsmes. Don't act like voting for a president who promises gibs is something unique to millennials.
As for the rest of that line - millennials aren't the ones who pushed the "everyone is a winner" mentality. That was their parents - GenX pushing it on their children. Millennials, by and far, are the most competitive generation in the workforce today, because there are so few decent jobs, and so many people who can fill those positions.

You just need to apply with companies that do oil field work. Start as labor, you will move up very quickly if you are computer literate and have a little bit of common sense. I've seen labors jumped to foreman in under a year. Here is the catch you have to go where the jobs are. If they need you to go to Florida for one job then to Texas for another you have to go. The job doesn't come to you. But you get paid per diem, gas and money for a host of other expenses
