I can't see KOTOR being able to be condensed into a 2-3 hour film. They'd have to cut too much of the story, maybe some of the characters too.

Alternatively they could make it into a 10-20 episode series which would give enough time to explore everything adequately, with the Disney/Marvel partnership with Netflix they could possibly push it straight to straming
