Is he a good president?

they call God "Alla", as in "Allah" and they're Catholics.

Lampedusa is worse.

He's the prime minister and I hate him.

Why?

They used to give us an annual falcon

Too liberal for my tastes. And I don't like his attitude.

Good times, good times.

How the fuck does Malta have such a good economy though?

Italy is shit. Portugal is shit. Spain is shit. Greece is shit. Malta is cruising along with the lowest unemployment in the EU and A+ credit rating. You don't even have any natural resources and the population is actually very uneducated (drop out of school rates are way higher than in other developed countries) so it's not high level jobs either.

What is your secret?

We sold our souls to the foreigner demon.

Arabs larping as European

But for real, we sell passports. We made millions out of it. Nothing that I'm proud of to be honest.

I see you Anglo cunts are still going on with us being Arabs right? You started back during our time as a colony and you haven't stopped since. Language does not define ethnicity.

Gold visa/passports.

It's basically a rotten borough within the EU parliament

Hey, I was there for a year. Here's my recollection.

Overall, very cosy place, except it gets a bit too hot in the summer and is pretty crowded but if you live on the outskirts of a smaller town it is still OKish.

Most people I met were nice, except for their posh people in Sliema/St Julians. Very elitist and uptight but also ignorant and stupid. Didn't like them very much. But most people were kind and I was surprised by their work ethic. Young people are fairly liberal and irreligious despite super religious culture. Everyone was always 5 minutes early to every meeting and people would schedule meetings at 8am. I usually wake up at 8 am.

They speak Maltese which sounds like Arabic to me but they swear it's totally different. BTW do not hint that they are Arabs. Best way to piss them off. They also speak English decently well and apparently most of them know Italian as well.

....

feel free to take those ideas back to the 16th century, Mohamed.

cont...

Didn't really get a good glimpse of their religious culture because my co-workers were apathetic and didn't like talking about it, but they had these festivals almost every week in the summer months. Lots of fireworks and shit. Pretty weird to see for me, coming from a very humble Calvinist background.

They cannot drink for shit, which is not surprising because they don't have a drinking culture and they are also all very short smallish people.

The girls look like what you guys would think of as a Jewish girl except shorter and possibly uglier. Not my cup of tea. Only decent looking girls were Maltese mixed with Anglos and still those tended to be fat.

Btw, they are all fat.

Their politics seemed to me very similar to the UK. Same two party system lesser of two evils crap.

The houses look like Belgium. No planning at all. You see nice contemporary houses next to century old houses next to dilapidated houses. Very ugly. The roads are even worst than Belgium, in some rural places.

The food is good. I don't think I tasted anything I didn't like. They like to bake things a lot.

Traffic is a nightmare. Roads are narrow in most places. Everyone drives and they have their own set of rules for driving.

No real crime. Everywhere is pretty safe. Only happenings are usually some guy beating his wife.

Overall: 7/10

How about weed? Is it accepted? Is it easy to get?

Malta is a wonderful island with a long history.. Was the base of the Knights Templars and has a long history of resisting invasion, firstly from the Ottomans and lastly from the Nazis in WW2.

Former British colony, so their English is excellent, but their own langauge is really unique within Europe. I talked to a Maltese poster here, and apparently at the height of the British Empire they didn't treat them very well. Gorgeous looking tanned people and lovely beaches. Culinary influences from all around the Med. Overall looks like a beautiful place
