>LA Sports """""""""""""""""fans"""""""""""""""""""

There's a reason why teams kept leaving in the first place.

What's the capacity of that stadium, 5k?

jfc

they'll be fine

25,000. It's a soccer stadium

I was at the Rams-Redskins game Yesterday. Stadium was about half full, with Redskins fans being about half of the people in attendance too.

Don't worry, when the Raiders come to town it will be standing room only. That alone will totally make it worth moving 2 hours into hostile territory.

>t. Rodger Goodell

Honestly, why don't they put a team in Nebraska? Literally the most diehard college fans, give em a pro team with the right name and it's a guaranteed success

Try to find 53 millionaire football players who want to live in fucking Nebraska half the year, there's your answer

You find millionaires to live in Wisconsin, Missouri, Michigan, etc. Nebraska is no worse. I don't think the location is super important when you are making millions.

1 week ago that was fun, now I have pity for NFL.

>The home team gets boo'd in their own tiny little soccer "stadium"
>The opposing team has more fans than the home team

>market

LA is full soulless transplants who don't give a shit about anything but themselves?

I'm shocked

>I don't think the location is super important when you are making millions.
It does when you have a 4 year contract and you have to buy a house for your wife and kids in fucking Nebraska

>2nd biggest market
There's no market for a team nobody wants around

>"fight for LA"

the season only lasts 5 months, many players buy houses in LA and Miami no matter where they play

just wait until an playoff bound raiders team comes to play a 6-9 chargers team
stadium will actually be silver and black

I paid $400 for a ticket to the Broncos/Raiders game in two weeks

Wait until the Raiders play there

Nebraska is much worse than those places

It's a fucking dump and the people are hick retards

It's going to be hilarious in a few years when they talk tail and flee back to San Diego

The UFL team that Omaha had literally drew more than the Chargers

Tuck fucking autokike

I thought it was because of local towns not paying for expensive stadiums?

I'M STILL CRAWLING IN THE DARK

>It is our year la
>Louder la

NFL is so goddamn arrogant

>Implying San Diego had a good fanbase

>having to ask "them" to "put" a team somewhere

This is such an alien concept to me. American sports creep me out.

no, they're patient. they've been through this before. football is like crack to americans and they know it all too well.

LMAO. Fewer people are watching it every year. It's slowly dying at all levels.

>nearly lose to said team

What's worse lmao

t. Started watching football in 2012

So what, if I just get some friends together in Britain I can just say I made a "futbol" team and the league has to accommodate me?

island nations aren't allowed to discuss football, sorry. go catch a fish or something.

I mean, they HAD one, but two decades of trying to screw over the city soured relations.

Anyways, nobody wants them back. Fuck the Chargers, fuck the NFL.

t. San Diegan

looking good! keep losing, faggots. by the time the browns come in december lower level tickets should be about $15 and i might actually by one just to go and heckle my friend who's a chargers fan.

You'd start at the lowest regional level, but yes. Potentially your team could climb to the highest level.

Imagine being a foreigner and thinking you have an idea of what's really going on viewership wise lmao.

It's like me going in an EPL thread and talking about viewership

So British sports are anarchy?

This is literally all there is in Nebraska.

>soccer will never outdraw foo-

Tv money, there ain't enough of it in Nebraska. You're right that the team would sell out though.

How is that anarchy? There are different tiers of play, and the top teams of each league have the opportunity to be promoted to higher leagues, and shitty teams get demoted. It creates an incentive to play well.

Most sports systems around the world work this way, not just in Britain.

You should probably learn the definition of words before you use them.

ehhh they would probably wouldn't do that well

euro sports are capitalist and american sports are socialist. it's one of those things.

If only there were any Americans in Los Angeles then the NFL might be on to something.

It really is. The owners, Goodell, the coaches, it's all annoying. Younger generation obviously doesn't care for it. NFL is on the decline and if something doesn't change it'll fall below the NBA.

>tfw literally a Liga Mx game

Capitalist. Unlike your commie sports where it's ok if you finish bottom because DUDE no relegation, and we'll give you first pick of players for next season LMAO.

I don't have to be from America to talk about viewership. It's numbers and data. It's objective. Living outside of the US doesn't somehow prevent me from reading the never ending American articles on the demise of the NFL.

Yeah. You'd start in a lower-tier league. If you and the lads are good enough and if you can attract a steady and consistent crowd that keeps the club afloat, then you'll get promoted to the tier above. And so on.

>facts don't translate to the metric system!

>the never ending American articles
>I saw a thread on Sup Forums that said Sunday night football dropped in viewership

Kek. Meanwhile there's things called streams. Literally no sport even touches the NFL viewership in America. Find me an article on that

Chicano or yuroboo, not sure yet

NFL games are almost all on basic cable or broadcast TV, what kind of retard needs to steal a stream to watch it?

Are you retarded? YEAH dude every single game Is shown on basic cable. You don't have to get Sunday ticket or NFL gamepass or red zone. You can literally watch all early games on your local cable xD

Don't even @ me

Nah, if you are a fan of an out of market team you will only get local and primetime games.

But that's nothing new, that wouldn't account for any decline in ratings

I imagine starting up a soccer team is a lot cheaper than football. Lots more specialized equipment and whatnot. It's a shame though but it's the result of the nature of the sport.

I wonder how much they regret moving to LA now

You know what does though? The anthem protests

google.com/amp/s/theundefeated.com/features/nfl-viewership-down-and-study-suggests-its-over-protests/amp/

>So let’s break down some numbers. Over the last 15 years, the memo stated, that NFL viewership overall has increased 27 percent, although total prime-time viewership declined by 36 percent.

>At issue: The survey was conducted using a small sample size (as most studies are) of 1,000 people. So those 1,000 are used to measure the thought process of more than 200 million NFL viewers.

>According to Rasmussen Reports in a survey four years ago, football was Americans’ favorite sport. The current study reveals that blacks and whites have different opinions. Twenty-eight percent of blacks say they are more likely to tune into an NFL game because of the protests, compared with 8 percent of whites and 16 percent of other minority Americans.

>i-its dying guys trust me, I live in wales

I know a guy who lives there and he says no one in SD actually cares about SD teams because they're all transplants. He is a Yankees and Packers fan for example. Is that true?

>He is a Yankees and Packers fan for example.

Because regular ticket sales/attendence figures dont mean shit to the bottom line in the nfl and they share 2/3 or 3/4th of it anyway so teams have no incentive to actually fill the stadium

>NFL is so goddamn arrogant
This. I live in St. Louis and that ugly fucking Dome is all we have left after we got raped for hundreds of millions.

Don't let retards know the truth they need some drama in their pathetic lives

>who lives there

Right, so he wasn't born here. Actual life long San Diegan here, the people like me care about SD sports. No one is wearing chargers shit anymore. It's either the Padres or are up and coming college football team.

It's a military town so it's full of transplants like your friend, the locals here hate all of them desu, fags like them are why we get a bad rep and why the Chargers also left

Sorry

because it's what you just said. They are all college football fans that haven't gave a rats ass about the NFL for the last 20 years

For most of the people born here, their parents or grandparents aren't from here. But that's not to say people here don't care, just that they don't offer support blindly. The Chargers completely destroyed their relationship with the city, and people stopped caring. The Padres are well liked, but they've also burned the city through stadium demands, fire-sales, and constant losing seasons. Almost nobody cares about ice hockey here (obviously), but the minor-league Gulls are very-well supported by the fans that they do have- they've also been around in some form since the 60's.

So, kinda true, but not really.

In every possible metric, viewership of NFL is declining. The data is not coming from nefarious sources either. I'm sure the BLM Kaepernick nonsense isn't helping, but it feels a little too convenient to blame the decline all on that. I think proper introspection is needed. The sport, at all levels, is slowly decreasing in popularity.

si.com/mmqb/2015/11/23/high-schools-dropping-and-adding-football-safety-concerns

I think a lot of it is that white America doesn't want to see a bunch of Mandingos running around and have only one white player, usually the QB, to identify with

Yeah you're right. It would definitely cost more to put together an American football side than a futbol team. Nevertheless American sports culture bothers me. There's far too much power in the hands of the people at the top.

The NBA can't even get above baseball

27k

In that very same article it said basketball participation was down as well. It even says despite the drop in participation football is still miles ahead of the next two sports.

Also I'm pretty positive college football is as strong as it's ever been. And it's even European-esque in the way that it has deep roots in the city it's in, and it will never root up like some of these NFL franchises

LA is full of massive faggots who'd rather sit in their backyards, smoke shitty weed, play some trashy rap songs, pretend they're fashionable, post cringey instagram pictures and be virtue-signalling marxists, rather than spend time going to a football game.

A ticket to a USC game on Saturday is 25 bucks. A ticket to a Rams game in the same stadium the next day is $175

wtf where did you find this pic of me??

That's why the redpilled, racially aware whites cheer for the Pats.

White power.

dont'a hightower isn't white, and if it weren't for him bardy would have gone home that night with his tail between his legs the same way peyton did in 2014.

Do you guys think a full-time NFL side in London is viable? The stadia will be in place by next year.

Holy shit you mean to tell me there's a nigger on an NFL team?

And that why they are the most dirty, hated, cheating piece of shit team in the league and everyone knows it

it seems strange with travel times, i guess you only play once a week so its not a huge deal though

...

that's what the draft is for. they don't have a choice, unless they were gods in college like elway or have powerful daddies like eli

.

>Accuse them of cheating
>Literally been caught cheating twice by the league

>twice
No, that's just the number of times they've received the maximum punishment possible because the ridiculous extent of the cheating

The number of actual offenses is in the hundreds, though most teams have a few dozen as well

>$100 for parking at StubHub
>Tailgating is not allowed in the parking lot

There's your problem

""""""""""""caught"""""""""""", """""""""""""cheating"""""""""""

It's a widely acknowledged consensus among any football fan with an IQ above 50 that "deflategate" was nothing but a corrupt witch-hunt and proved nothing.

""""Spy"""-gate was literally a trivial operations-manual guideline that was broken, relating to wrong camera placement. Since if you knew anything about it, filming signals was entirely legal. So yea, they did break a rule, but you have to be a childish baby to cry and call it "cheating".

...

How old are you?

"""""""""caught"""""""""

""""""""cheating""""""""

...
