These blast points... too accurate for Sand People. Only Imperial stormtroopers are so precise

>These blast points... too accurate for Sand People. Only Imperial stormtroopers are so precise

If Imperial Storm Troopers are supposedly accurate marksman, how come they miss every shot in Lucas's Star Wars films and Disneys Star Wars flicks?

Because they are afraid to hit good friends.

Old Ben was trying to cover for the fact Sand People represent 13 percent of the population but commit 50 percent of blaster violence and homicide on Tatooine.

>Luke, did I ever tell you despite my claims about the inaccuracy of sand people, how they used to hit pod racers going 500 mpg during races held here on Tatooine? Your father himself was nearly killed by one. For some reason the Hutts never cleared them from the race track. Maybe Jabba thought it was funny to see the heads of cartoonish CGI aliens explode from the bullet impacts or get burned horribly in the resulting crash and explosion. He was a good friend

500 mpg?

Ya but have you ever thought about why that might be the case? They have been oppressed and marginalized for centuries. Hell, fucking 20 years ago their entire village was brutally murdered by one straight white male. I'd be pretty pissed off too if I were in their shoes. Treat others the way you want to be treated, with how the sand people are treated I'm surprised they don't commit more crime.

Same reason this guy didn't get shot until he's served his purpose. The Force is protecting those who are fated to perform great accomplishments. Only others who use the Force can effect them.

...

The stormtroopers on the Death Star in ANH were missing intentionally because they knew that the Millenium Falcoln would lead them right to the rebel base once they had rescued the princess.

The force is protecting the heroes

So why were most jedi gunned down by clone troopers in execute order 66?

This. Everyone raves about the Deathstar plot point but the movie sets to solve a far more intriguing mystery. "The Force did it" is the explanation for everything and everyone in each movie.

Sheev's force overpowered them all.

The Force was not with them. In AOTC, Mace is concerned about the Jedi's diminishing connection to the Force. They were losing the "spiritual war" to Palpatine. I suppose you can consider those troopers to be an extension of his will. I dunno. It's Philosophy.

>Luke, did I ever tell you how Jabba the Hutt despite being a giant slug mobster was also a strict environmentalist? He ensured all pods met strict fuel efficiency standards, and helped pass the Sarlacc Protection Act. He was a green friend.

For one, they were desensitized to the force, cut off by the smothering control of the dark side. Secondly, the betrayal was so perfect, they could sense no ill will or dissent, the Clones were just following orders/programming.

>>These blast points... too accurate for Sand People.

George was trying to warn us about 9/11.

Perhaps he wasn't aware that the clones had been retired.

Is it ever established anywhere whether "sand people" is an offensive term?

Does the Star Wars universe even have racial slurs?

Sand people are practically animals so who cares.

>vader kills sand people in his spare time
>one survives
>makes its way to another camp
>tells the story of 'the monster'
>the camp already knows about it
>decides to sacrifice the survivor so as to not anger 'the monster'

...

In Ep IV, the stromtroopers are only shit shots on the Death Star, and that's because they aren't trying to hit Luke and Friends. There was a tracking device on the Millenium Falcon, so the stormies are just trying to scare them back to their ship w/o killing them.

...

...

I already said this here: . Please reply to my post with a similar reaction image, as I put some effort into it.

...

Everyone's so fucking smart and getting reaction images, but if this "homing beacon" theory was true, why were these guys such shit?

>inb4 tibanna gas makes you less accurate

Aren't you a little late for a parsec?

The force curved the plasma bolts to miss main characters

They were rookies

He didn't mean precise in that they were expert marksmen, he meant precise in that imperial stormtroopers were very selective in their targets.

Storm troopers hit chewy in tfa

Because Leia literally says they were let go on the Death Star so that their ship could be tracked back to the Rebel base.
Moff Tarkin also acknowledges this was Vader's plan. This is all in A New Hope

im dying

The imperials should have targeted wamp rats in their t16s back home.
they're not much bigger than 2 meters...4U

is that a shoop?

It was really Bobba Fett

The old man was literally testing luke for any connection to the darkside the second he popped back on le force.
>see if the little jerk knows anything about these SAND ******!

Sand People are just the perfect scapegoats because they're violent morons.

Why did the Sand people kidnap Smee anyway?

My sides are in orbit

The Force curves the laser blasts around the jedi.

Thou doth not trusteth the weave i see

Have you ever seen a sand people woman?

>>These blast points

He's not talking about blaster hits, he's talking about them blasting a hole in the sandcrawler with explosives.

>how come they miss every shot in Lucas's Star Wars films
On camera storm troopers can't hit anything.
Off camera they can fuck shit up.
This is a pre-internet star wars meme

>If Imperial Storm Troopers are supposedly accurate marksman, how come they miss every shot in Lucas's Star Wars films and Disneys Star Wars flicks?
This will be revealed in Stormtrooper One: A Star Wars Story.
All the Stormtroopers were actively trying to sabotage the Empire, they were all inspired by a singular Stormtrooper that became a martyr for Stormtroopers all over the galaxy

1:24 is the canon explanation i guess

It's called performance anxiety. And Star Wars was before the advent of viagra. The other films went along because of continuity reasons. They also are not canon.

It is because Vader directly tells the Stormtroopers not to kill Luke and his friends and he wants them alive.

For Return of the Jedi, my theory is that Sheev actually intends Han, Leia and Lando to live just so Luke will feel more hate for Sheev since Sheev just tricked Luke. And Luke will fall to the Dark Side more.

And the reason why the battle droids are bad shots in the prequels is because the Trade Federation which made them wanted to keep low manufacturing costs so they can make thousands of them and so the droids will just be jokes in case they rebelled against the Trade Federation or.are hacked.

Another possible explanation from Rogue One is that Force-sensitives can dodge blaster shots, as if the Force willed it.

And Leia is a Force-sensitive who was never trained to become a Jedi, Han may be a Force-sensitive though we don't know about Chewie.

Probably the only reason why Artoo and Threepio managed to cruise through the escape pods while Stormtroopers were trying to shoot them down is because the Force willed it.

A little bit, TMZ airbrushed it to make her look prettier

truth

Accurate in the sense that Stormtroopers are smart enough to know where to shoot at a giant tank/ scavenger RV thing disable it.

Where sand "people" are fucking savages who use bullets and don't know jack shit about machinery, and would run away from a sand crawler because they thought it was an angry god or something.

Maybe they shouldn't have ran a train on the chosen's mom.

nice

>If Imperial Storm Troopers are supposedly accurate marksman, how come they miss every shot in Lucas's Star Wars films and Disneys Star Wars flicks?
They don't. They are very effective whenever they're not up against plot armour (and yes, they were ordered to let the rebels escape the Death Star in ANH). Check the first scene if ANH, for example. Rebels are on defence with a roughly even number of men, and they still get destroyed with barely any casualties on the imperial side. I want the inaccurate stormtrooper meme to die.

I kekked at that. Something about worshipping an enormous statue of Vader made it just too funny. They are not practically animals, though. A'Sharad Hett lived among the sand people and communicated without problems. They were just very, very primitive people who should have been... "cleared out" a long time ago.

which of the clone wars tv series should i watch first: 2003 or 2008?

2003 of course
it's only 2 hours

very interesting

Drugs.

Kekked and my doubles should be checjed

In EP4 they actually had a reason; they were supposed to let the Rebels escape the death star so that they could escape and lead the Empire to their base.

I thought the scene in rogue 1 with the blind guy was demonstrating that the force protects you or some shit. Basically canon plot armor

Vader wanted Luke and his friends alive.

...whoah, dude

Holy kek

Maybe Stormtroopers were never trained to hit moving targets.

In the first movie they have no excuse to miss in Leia's ship or Mos Eisley but on the Death Star Darth Vader wanted them to escape so they could track down the location of the Rebel base. Presumably they would have had to remove the tracking device between then and Hoth or they would have been detected immediately. I'm surprised Leia/Han/Luke don't get more flak over this actually.
In ESB they again have no excuse when invading Hoth but in Cloud City Darth Vader instructed them to just lure Luke to the carbonite chamber.
They truly go full retard in ROTJ and they seem to fall like lemmings in TFA.

2003, but be wary it's a steaming pile of shit. Best either watched in chronological order, for which you can easily find a guide, or just sit through the beggining knowing you'll be in for Star kino by the time you hit season 3.

if they were so accurate then wouldn't they have hit their targets instead? or was obi wan impressed that they could hit a giant transporter that trundles through the desert at 3 mph?

They missed on the Death Star because Vader and Tarkin wanted to track the rebels to the Rebel Base.

Stormtroopers very effectively took down the Tantive 4 and Echo Base.

In episode 7, chock in up to poor writing/Mary Sue, although they took out that Jakku village and the Pirate cantina.
