Just came to say good luck with the thread

...

Anything Aaron Turner touches is just perfect

explain this

post-rockfags are quiet, artsy, yet pretentious, who are convinced that if "they could only make you understand" you'd be just like them.

Also something about birds. Always with the fucking birds

So, we all agree this is the best Post-Rock/Metal release in past 5 years, right?

I mean, ffs, it's even a loose concept album about tragedy and triumph in the human experience

It's everything I love about 2nd wave Post-Rock, combined with the density and flare of 3rd wave

he......he........... no
youtube.com/watch?v=953o5iD688Q&t=402s

This sounds pretty generic tbqh.

that's me. i don't think i act too pretentious (since getting out of my teens) but i admit i secretely feel like i'm special and that nobody understands me. i love birds as well. sparrows are my favorite animal.

>sparrows are my favorite animal.
That's the poster animal for Post-Rock. That or Crows or Owls.

Either way, you never had a choice.

post depressive stuff

Read into the lyrics.

Fucking heartbreaking album, especially since it's all true.

cool hivemind man, i'm the 37s earlier than you poster

found this band yesterday and both of their albums are bonkers good

I know. Glad we can finally recognize how innovate SFFS is in the realm of Post-Rock, Screamo and Sludge. Not enough people listen to Blazing Fires and Helicopters on this board.

thoughts ?

However, on this album, "All In The Full, Indomitable Light of Hope Pt II" is one of the most stunningly beautiful and uplifting pieces of music I think I've ever heard, and I've heard a lot of music.

I prefer All Is Violent, All Is Bright. They get a lot of flack for being generic third wave (some of it is deserved), but that album is brilliant. The bass is so pleasant on a good set of monitors.

This song literally has reduced me to a crumpled mess of joyful tears. It's so achingly beautiful.

who's your favorite label for post-rock and all the adjoining genres?
starting with a bit of an obvious one

For Post-Rock? Temporary Residence, Sargent House.

Is this toast rock?

I like that jazzy toby driver style

Any female post-rock bands?
