The Singapore Grand Prix saw a breakthrough in broadcast technology with F1 carrying out a live proof of concept exercise with 360 degree TV broadcast that means F1 may soon offer fans the option to choose their view of race details on mobile devices in the near future.
This comes at a time when F1 Group is investing in a new OTT (over the top) video platform and other technologies to enhance the experience for fans who are not at the race track, to try to make them feel more like they are there.

But I remember Ross talking about how Micheal could talk/listen to his radio at any point in the race, during any corner. So I wondered about the practicality of a spotter, like they have in Nascar. I guess they move too fast to make much of a difference, but maybe it would help as a check. When you've sort of learned to trust your spotter, maybe you could just focus on what's ahead.

I remember a Grand Prix start in the early 2000's where you could hear the radio call of an engineer completely guiding his driver during the start (left right, throttle adn the likes) I'm guessing that was an extreme case but they might still provide some information in real time

I don't see how that could work. You need to add two people's worth of reaction times (>400ms) and on top of that the time it takes to actually speak out the words, and the brain to process that data. It just isn't an efficient system.
