Why is this movie so devisive?

Why is this movie so devisive?

Is it because people can't stand a movie about Catholics without bashing them? Or was there just not enough handholding and answers blatantly provided?

Sup Forums only likes Star Wars and capeshit

I really liked it, but holy hell is it boring

I quite liked it too, but once it becomes just focused on Andrew Garfield then it really gets repetitive and boring.

>tfw Liam Neeson was a bitch in the movie

It's competent with nice well-composed cinematography but it's nowhere NEAR lifelong magnum opus it was touted as being before trailers were released.

It's one of Scorsese's weakest just like all of his movies since the 90s. But hey, at least it's not Shutter Island.

Just because you're so easily impressed doesn't mean everyone else is OP.

>I liked it
>It's boring

What? Also the film isn't boring.

is there any bang bang and shoot shoot in this movie? any leo?
