I enjoyed those 2 and these

Shame - Songs of Praise

my niggas. It’s not as good as their other 2, but those are masterpieces so that says nothing. It’s really a very rewarding and cool album. Favorite tracks?

Triple Ds - Disaffectation, Desire, and Disgraced in America. Nice list. Did you listen to the Kero Kero Bonito EP?

Completely agree with the first two, and I really have come to love Take Everything too. It's like The Smiths done better than they did it half the time.

Haven't mustered up the courage yet lol. I couldn't stand her debut honestly. Everyone said it was super catchy and I didn't find it catchy at all. I thought the songwriting was shit

Yeah I never listened to them besides a couple singles a while back but I enjoyed the EP.

1. Car Seat Headrest - Twin Fantasy
2. ******** - The Drink
3. Structure - Structure
4. Gnaw Their Tongues - Genocidal Majesty
5. Kero Kero Bonito - TOTEP
6. Persuasion - Quatermass EP
7. MGMT - Little Dark Age
8. Nikifor - Nikifor
9. Natalia Lafourcade - Musas Vol. 2
10. Pisse - Album Name

RITW is fucking trash imo

Total Albums Reviewed This Year: 28

any good emo, post-rock or feelsy solo albums i should be aware of?
i'm fucking lazy and have been spending more time in recent months trying to write music than trying to discover it

>any good emo
Sorority Noise did an acoustic version of their 2017 album YNAAYT

The only 2018 album I've listened to. Its pretty fun. Dont know why I haven't seen a single post about it

youtube.com/watch?v=208llBGfElE

Twin Fantasy remaster
Good Ole Joel - Good Ol' Joel (indie midwest emo)
awakebutstillinbed (midwest emo but punkier)
Gnaw Their Tongues - Genocidal Majesty (black ambient/noise)
Human Serpent - For I, the Misanthropist (black metal) Panphage - Jord (I guess pagan black metal? idk)
Hookworms - Microshift (neo-psych)
SCreature - Old Hand New Wave (deathrock)

Most goth/post-punk releases have been shit this year (Ought, Wind Atlas, Soho Rezanejad, Feeding Fingers, The Soft Moon, fuck)

People thought 2017 was a bad year, this one is already worse

I think IRTW is fantastic, but Twin Fantasy is my fave if the year so far. Was never a CSH fan before this. Really appreciate the reworked album though.

2018 is already better. 2017 was absolutely terrible.

Listen to Against All Logic RIGHT NOW, Nicolas Jaar killed it
agreed, 2017 was a joke. possibly the worst year this decade

youtu.be/zno15xQHz0o

Which reminds me, this is the one big thing I've found recently

new everything everything EP is good

I loved Breadwinner so thanks for the reminder to check this out. Functions more like a 7" single with bonus tracks. 2 new songs 1 remix 1 cover

yeah, three good tracks on that one - personally don't like Ivory Tower remix, but it's a good EP all around.

How is everyone enjoying new release Friday?

The Breeders - 3
Superorganism - 3.5

Top 5:

1.) Car Seat Headrest - Twin Fantasy
2.) Nils Frahm - All Melody
3.) Holy - All These Worlds Are Yours
4.) No Age - Snairs Like A Haircut
5.) Awakebutstillinbed- What People Call Low Self-Esteem...

This and the new Ought, JPEGMafia, and MGMT.

Unironically

I hope this year continues well.
no particular order
Anna von Hausswolff - Dead Magic
A.A.L (Against All Logic) - 2012 - 2017
Pendant - Make Me Know You Sweet
jpegmafia - veteran
car Seat Headrest - Twin Fantasy

I haven't even heard this yet but it wrecks every other album based off cover art alone.

its fantastic

...

My favourites so far both came out this week

>Gwenno - Le Kov
>Soccer Mommy - Clean

Is this Kreayshawn?

agreed

So far:
1. Storm {o} - Ere
2. Anna Van Hausswolff - Dead Magic
3. Starved - S/t
4. Little Dark Age

>uniroinically using decimals in ratings for anything other than a .5
Good list but that is such an autistic thing to do

LMAO

>rating a re-release

i dunno bruh anything the melon tells me to like

TO HELL WITH HIIIIIIIIIIIM!!!

Explain me why Ought is 8.1 and not 8.0

>everything has one decimal place
>aside from Evidence, which is just an integer

learn to format lists, this is an extremely bad practice

I haven't even finished my 2017 backlog

So far I have only listened to new Franz Ferdinand, it was okay

The new camp cope, scallops hotel, phew, turnstile, venetian snares

>Camp Cope
My dude

>Most goth/post-punk releases have been shit this year
You should really check out Shame's Songs of Praise
