A Saucerful of Secrets t b h

Jugband Blues is Barrett's best track

All of them before The Wall

We get it. You just discovered Barret era Floyd and you think it’s the greatest shit ever but trust me this phase will pass.

This

Acceptable answer

Wish You Were Here and Dark Side

finally someone who agrees with me on this
thank you based user

Yeah! Dark Side is the greatest album of all time!!! Epin opinion bro!

I wouldn't say that, but it certainly is their best album, one of the best rock albums of that decade.

I'm glad you like it too.

Yesssss!!!! Music today sucks i was born in the wrong generation -_-

>sharing a popular opinion must mean you can't think for yourself

can't really get behind that

Shut the fuck up

The wall is an objectively good album. I hope this meme dies along with OPs.

>Disliking an music because it's popular

>Music today sucks
Well I wouldn't say that, but it is statistically more probable that better music existed in the past, than the future
What's the problem?

It's corny and pretentious.

King Crimson
Doors
Velvet underground
Jimi Hendrix Ezperience
Blue Cheer
Johnny Winter
Pearl Jam

Animals. Piper is great, but Animals is stellar.

The wall is a pretty good album but compared to all of their previous albums it's pretty trash

>dude my dad died lmao

>objectively good
How so?

Yes because definitely I said I disliked it, dumbass

Because I think so.

>Likes an album
>Makes fun of another user for liking the album
What did user mean by this?

>It's bad because it's popular!
Ugh

Then that's not objective. That's subjective.

That's not what objective means

I made fun of user for saying the albums were Floyd's best. Someone needs to get back to their reading comprehension homework clearly

You don't understand, let me explain it in terms you WILL understand:
I decide the truth. Not you, not anyone else. I do. And when I say "The Wall" is good, then by fucking God it IS an objective truth, as objective as it gets.

Shitposts like this only prove The Wall to be worse, since it's praised by blithering idiots

The Doors
Boston
Guns N' Roses
The Strokes
Joy Division
Nas
Stone Roses
Television
>more common than you might think

Thanks for clarifying, guys.

Pavement

>shitposts
Ha ha, sure, you go about believing I'm just shitposting, sugar. ;)
Seems like you're not really ready for knowing and accepting the truth... I don't think you ever will be. But oh well, the society is better off if plebeians such as you don't know too much. Keep living in fantasy world, it will sure be easier for you.

...

...

It's not bad or even mediocre but it's a 7/10 surrounded by 8-9/10 albums.

TFW only 5 people actually discuss the topic of the thread

:(

Well, that's kind of a hard question to answer because it's often the second or third album that's the magnum opus because they put in much practice and gain much wisdom by the time they start working on that album while still having their youthful enthusiasm.

Syd wrote some good stuff like The Four Horsemen and The Call of Ktulu but it was really when Roger and Dave took over that you got classics like Master of Puppets, One and Enter Sandman

Meddle to The Wall era Floyd is the best Floyd. Anyone who says the earlier stuff is better is being purposefully contrarian as that stuff consists of aimless noodling and wanking (also very ordinary psych pop in the case of Piper.)

>aimless noodling
That's what they're good at. They're massively overrated as songwriters.

THIS

That isn't their debut album, dumbass

MBDTF > LR > TCD > 808s > Grad > Yeezus > TLOP

Their later stuff was just very ordinary prog rock

>echoes and shine on are ordinary prog rock

>echoes and shine
Wouldn't that be "middle period" instead of "later stuff"?

I thought it would just be better to avoid the Pink Floyd argument

Todd Terje

Not him but you're correct

plebs will disagree
Not their debut or their best
Saucerful of Secrets

Sigur Ros, and it's not even close

1/10, because I had to reply to your cheap ass attempt to troll.

>ctrl + f
>mars volta: de-loused in the comatorioum nowhere to be found

you've lost your edge, Sup Forums

>Francis The Mute? What's that?

e-z

absolutely disgusting opinion

Posted mostly because I know it's such an unpopular opinion here, but it's actual my personal favorite as far as their whole albums go. Most of my favorite songs are on other albums, but as far as experiencing their complete projects go exmilitary's still the best for me, almost tied by Money Store
