What's the worst Bond movie?
What's the worst Bond movie?
your favorite one
that would be in the bottom 5, but the worst is QoS
All of the craig ones.
Tomorrow Never Dies
>implying a bond film with both grace jones & chris walken is terrible
it takes more than a good cast to make a good movie, AVTAK is a piss-poor Goldfinger knockoff, with one of the worst Bond girls and a boring as fuck plot. Not to mention Moore looked so old and busted by that point that watching him seduce babes and beat up bad guys was cringe-inducing. I love Walken but he was misused and obviously instructed to dial back his usual scenery-chewing
AVTAK is garbage
this
>Based Grace Jones
youtube.com
Contrarian
>pic not related
It's pure Walkenkino
more like Tanya Roberts won't stop screaming kino
Quantum of Dogpiss, fucking woeful film.
Craigbaby
>die another day
>diamonds are forever
Basically when someone other than Roger Moore tried to be campy, at least he kinda made it work, it's cringe in the hands of others
M O O N R A K E R
Dalton ones are basically unwatchable
>casino royale is bad
are you guys out of your minds?
I like Diamonds Are Forever, and the franchise has been campy seen Dr. No
diamonds are forever
a view to a kill
die another day
come to think of it, almost all late movies of the various Bonds, since it almost always became stale
I've hated it since I saw it in theaters, I can understand why someone would like it but it's not for me
>the last movie of every long term bond is terrible
Really makes me think
pierce brosnan was bretty gud, but his legacy is tarnished by the utter shit writing in his movies, especially the last 2
/spoiler but goldfinger is kino /spoiler
kys
no they aren't, they're among the best
TLD drags a bit in the second half but it's still great, and LTK is one of the most entertaining films in the series has one of the best Bond girls
Spectre is the worst
lazy, dr. Who-tier writing
it made me feel disgust for the first time for the series
goldeneye*
>TWINE
>shit writing
"no"
Moonraker
skyfall and spectre. both are pretentious, booooooooooooooooriiiiiiing snorefests.
sam mendes managed to kill all the momentum the franchise managed to get thanks to casino royale. and now it's dead. again.
...
This. Some of goofy ones are fun to watch (whichever one had the battle between scuba divers is amazing) but Moonraker just went too far.
Wasn't the Bond girl in the third Craig movie an Asian chick? I don't see her here.
>Spectre made me feel disgust for the first time in the series
BOOOYYY HOWDY THAT'S ONE TURRIBLE OPINIIIION
Moonraker is one of my favorites tbqh
craig bond has yet to bang an asian chick, if I remember correctly.
Quads confirmed it, I quite liked both of the Dalton ones.
relax senpai, i like TWINE and TND
pierce had pretty great villains (alec trevelyan goat)
Live and Let Die was pretty horrible
live and let die had the luck that I wasn't born yet, and that better ones still followed it
goat tier themesong though
it's the 4th girl, Bérénice Marlohe from Skyfall
Oh jesus fucking christ that whole thing dragged on for 15 minutes too much. Fuck me that was just god awful comedy, christ.
Me and my friend were watching it a while back and we only laughed at how long it was, Sergeant Pepper or whatever his name was the stupidest shit. Worse than fucking tsunamisurfing.
not it wasn't
My bad, I thought she was Asian.
yes it was
dalton bond was way ahead of its time. it took another 20 years and brosnan running the bond franchise into the ground before people started to appreciate more down to earth, realistic action films.
I really like Man With The Golden Gun, but Pepper is one of the worst characters in the franchise.
He was so popular that he actually came back for the next Moore movie.
>vwoooop
>mfw someone dislikes TND near me
TND is probably the comfiest Brosnan Bond. I love TND almost as much as GoldenEye.
lea seydoux in the satin dress on the train wow
>best
You Only Live Twice
On Her Majesty's Secret Service
The Spy Who Loved Me
Licence to Kill
GoldenEye
>worst
The Man with the Golden Gun
A View to a Kill
Die Another Day
Quantum of Solace
Spectre
no it wasn't
fite me
What is the best gunbarrel opening though?
My vote is TND. Best music and style. youtube.com
Brosnan did the best barrels
>No Goldfinger in best
Nope.
...
Switch You Only Live Twice with Casino Royale and I'm finde with it. YOLT has one of the best Songs though.
Brosnan films aside from GoldenEye are unwatchable.
Goldfinger is overrated, great villain and some iconic scenes but not much else
*fine
Did the villain from The Spy Who Loved Me got much screentime? I heard he had fins on his hands?
CORRECT
>t. underage
Diamons Are Forever was fucking terrible, hated that movie so much.
Karl Stromberg, and yeah he had webbed fingers. He got his fair share of screen-time and had some great moments, one of the more interesting Bond villains in my opinion.
He was a misanthropic, lonely and bitter man who wanted to destroy civilization because it was degenerate and corrupt. Hmm...
For some strange reason while me and my friend watched it, I was able to predict so many lines and I had never seen it nor knew anything about it.
Like shit I think my sixth time predictinga line in it was when the car crashes into the small farmers house and the guy goes "Mama mia!" my friend began crying of laughter.
I love the movie though. But the lines were predictable for the most part.
Apart from Casino Royale (Craig one) all the Bond movies since Spy who Loved me have been mediocre
Are most people ignoring the dumpster fire that is specter because it is so obviously the worst?
BOND POWERRANKINGS
1. Barry Nelson
2. Daniel Craig
3. George Lazenby
4. Pierce Brosnan
5. Roger Moore
6. Timothy Dalton
7. Sean Connery
what about David Niven?
9
8
10: David Niven.
>9 8 10
Christ I need to sleep.
>Barry Nelson
this is the dude that hired Jack Nicholson at the beginning of the Shining
nah you need to kill yourself man
LTK is basically Bond meets Scarface.
It's Bond meets Scarface and pulls a Mission Impossible on him
fucking love it, Robert Davi is great
>he makes his girlfriend kiss his iguana every time
Bad Bond films:
Dr. No
Thunderball
Diamonds Are Forever
The Man With The Golden Gun
A View To A Kill
Die Another Day
The rest range from good to great.
>Dr. No
>bad
seriously consider suicide
shirley basseys opening in diamonds is a classic though
>Dr. No
>Bad
kys
It's a wonder that the series got off the ground with Dr No. It's such a dull film. Starting with From Russia With Love or Goldfinger is a much better idea.
She is half chinese, don't remember if he shagged her tho
Dr No is the best Bond film, pleb.
Dr. No is excellent, it would be perfect if it weren't for the fact that the last 20 minutes are rather tepid and anticlimactic
I'd rank it much higher than either FRWL or Goldfinger
What's Sup Forums's favourite Bond theme? Mine is You Only Live Twice, Sinatra's voice suits it well.
the movie itself isn't bad either, Tiffany Case is a good Bond girl, the early 70's Vegas setting is neat and a nice little time capsule, and the two henchman Mr. Went and Mr. Kidd are funny imo
It's underrated, certainly better than anything like The Man with the Golden Gun or A View to a Kill
for me it's a tie between You Only Live Twice and this:
youtube.com
MaryAnn Johanson is by far the worst
>Thunderball
>bad
pls try again
oh shit wrong bread, delete this
OH LITTLE BIT OF BUSH
>all this hate for Die Another Day
>Incredibly fun villain
>Amazing locations
>Great action scenes
>Amazing sword fighting scene
>Dialogue is fucking hilarious
>Car is great
>John Cleese is surprisingly good
>Brosnan at his best, or at least Brosnan-iest
>Halle Berry is so bad it's hilarious
>Rosamund Pike is legit good
>Song took a risk and it paid off
>Madonna cameo is surreal in the best possible way
>Plot is very easy to follow
Literally the only thing that's bad about it is the CGI, which is, to be fair, inexcusable. That said, seriously, DAD might be my favourite Bond, and it's certainly the most fun. For a board that props up Star Wars prequels and BvS, I'm surprised there's not even any ironic love for it. My friends and I quote it literally all the time.
Spectre is the worst but my least favorite is Diamonds are Forever
Was that the one where the boat chase dragged on and on and on and zzzzzzz.... it was like a 3rd of the movie FFS
>Dr. No
>Thunderball
>bad
What was the last 007 movie that wasn't embarrassed of itself ?
TLD is my favourite non connery bond. Boss film
I consider it one of the worst, but that doesn't mean I don't love it. It's the ultimate guilty pleasure Bond film and I've seen it several times
Unlike say, the Craig films, which I can respect but I have no desire to watch again after the first time
