No, I was disagreeing that CGI is the "only" viable way. CGI aided Animotronics has the bigger potential than a computer game cartoon like this, especially considering the technology available to us today.
It's just that it would take way more effort than outsourced computer farm CGI, so nobody tries it today even if the results would be better.
