I'm trying to remember the name and composer of a classical piece I have stuck in my mind.
So I'm going to try and describe it and see if you guys can help me:
It is popular in films, used as an intro i guess. Very energetic and I could see it used in a Kubrick film although i think it is not in any of his films.
It starts with 2-3 strong cymbals hits and then follows a descend with strings and a choir (there is a choir in the piece).
To me it sounds like a mix of Beethoven symphonies mixed with the Carmina Burana Choir with a high tempo and huge orchestra.
It doesn't sound sad, sounds more like if the final boss of a film gets his unlimited power thing and starts wrecking shit while the good guys stare helpless at the destruction or something like that.
I don't know what else to say, hope you guys can help.
>I could see it used in a Kubrick film although i think it is not in any of his films. That would eliminate that piece. I don't think it has choir either.
We need to hear it or see it in a film somewhere. I'm not getting any "hits" from your description.
Mason Robinson
If i could locate it in any film that would solve the problem right and i wouldn't have to ask.
I really can't think of so many symphonic pieces with a choir, that seems strange to me. Maybe it's something modern, maybe some original film score? maybe Morricone?
