Help me find some lesser-known gems. I'm looking for a new guitar. 500-1500 USD depending on materials, pickups, etc. CMG guitars are made a few hours from me, and pic related starts at 800 bucks. American made with nitro finish, and they do customs. American strats start near there, and can get a used one for 800 or less. Any good under the radar American or Japanese made stuff that doesn't break the bank?

Usa dean> gibson, mik dean> import ibanez. But imo usa dean> mij ibeenhad. Deans starts to become a great choice paat the 500 dollar level. For the super cheap stuff maybe a cheap ibanez will be better.

If I were to replace them it'd probably be with an Eric Johnson set, or a Fralin set, EMG isn't on my radar at all, they are a lot better than the N3, I don't have any problem getting a glassy tone out of them with a few knob twists. I'm pretty happy with it as is. I'm looking for an American at the right price to put a Fralin loaded pickguard in, then I can get an interesting comparison.

Well, that's the question. I'm going to install a B-Bender of some sort. The question is which one?
Choice #1 is one that works with 6 saddle bridges. If that one, then I'll swap the saddles with my other tele and instal
#2 is one that works with 3 barrel bridge. If that, obviously I swap bridges.
#3 is one that works with a Bigsby. It goes without saying that I would have to install a Bigsby for this one.

Well, when I got back into playing, I needed a guitar (obviously). That Squire was what I found at the time. Now that I have a few more guitars, I've just decided to mess around with the Squire. I have no set vision for it. I just go on a whim.
