Fuck I meant to say Guild

Oh well

Is there any point in buying an amp if I'm only going to play my guitar in my bedroom? I don't see the point in buying an amp unless you are gigging or playing with a band/friends when Guitar Rig exists.

Does anybody have a resource, book or something, on guitar, something that covers theory, practice and else, so I can use it as a guide for lessons and keep guitar stuff fresh in the head? Also how do I get students to stay for more than two months?

Youre roman aren't you?

Still need some recs for humbuckers for a Jazzmaster around $50

old post

George Oh well

You can gig with guitar rig, just plug the laptop heaphone out into the P.A.

>why would you buy a guitar that's never going to be exactly what you want and refuse to improve it?

That's why you buy a guitar that you want lmao instead of some pile of Chinese firewood

>Also how do I get students to stay for more than two months?
By being better than a 2 month guitarist

no

because atleast I ain't a droppout

Then whats with the wierd grammar lately.
Try as the world falls down again

Have fun experimenting with pedals with no amp.
Just buy a 20W piece of shit from craigslist for practice

Exactly how versatile and tonally accurate is guitar rig anyway? Could I replicate something that requires a lot of pedals like My Bloody Valentine? If it's actually good I'll just play guitar rig and get an amp if I ever gig.

I just have fucked up grammar which I'm kinda insecure about lol

multi fx

...

I guess I am, I have internalized on my playing tons of UG articles that could be one lesson each (or teachers do talk these tips in the middle of the lesson? I dont know. See how unprepared I am.) , but I'm not used to talk guitar and cant think of these stuff from my own anymore.

Yes it can do all that stuff

So true, brother. I had an old guitar that I switched out the pickups on with the electronics. Upgraded the neck and body from Warmoth... Some vintage Schaller hardware and I was good to go. Nobody believes me when I tell them it's a Squire.

Sad thing is, I won't know until I hear the actual song for myself. Kinda defeats the purpose.

Lol i see.

>godin
thats enough for today. bye gg

Should I buy an Epiphone SG special for $150 ?

Im already shit at guitar why do i need to be shit at changing strings too

No.

Anyone with credit card knowledge? I just applied for Musiciansfriend platinum card. I'm trying to do 2 things: pay monthly payments on the 60th anniv. Jazzmaster and gain credit so I can one day own a house. If I do the 6 month pay in full no interest, will I gain credit?

post qt guitar girls /gg/
bonus if feet are visible

The cheap Epiphones are god awful

pic related absolutely worth it

can someone explain the Roman meme to a /gg/ newfriend plz

Imagine the stench of that board.

2 to 3 wraps per post, just give it 2 fingers of slack, then bend the string around the post in a z fashion so it won't slip. youtu.be/zGLMy6DbpBc

When Roman accuses Roman of being Roman. Uncle! Uncle! I give!

>bland toan rug

Pornhub is free

I recently found an SGC Anyone laying around in a second hand shop, weird thing about it? It's a fucking guitar

I've been searching for a while and can't find anything about SGC Nanyo producing guitars, except for some guy asking this same thing in some Chilean forum

It says Broadway on the neck, model number is 630353. According to what I've been able to gather about SGC Nanyo, they originally started making basses in 87 after buying a British guitar company. Is it possible that I have a relic from before SGC settled on making basses?

Dumbasses wierdos and larpers. Ok for rreal now im out. I have beer to drink Nd guutars to play

Google Broadway, they were made for a company in New York.

What's the advantage of this over pirated guitar rig?

You plug up and play, not screw around with drivers, interfaces, and all that computer shit. Enjoy wasting your time with turd rig. Just get a Line 6 Pod for 100 bucks.

Roman used to be a troll called Froosh many years ago. About 2 years ago some autistic anime nerd started pretending to be him and started "trolling" this thread. If you ever see someone needlessly shitting up this thread there's a 90% chance it's him.

He's one of the saddest people on all of Sup Forums, which is saying a lot.

Shut up Roman

The intrigue of a sliding pickup

>t.roman
kek

t. roman

Thanks, will keep post and video in mind. Funny thing is, i changed the strings on my bass a few weeks back and wow, im amazed at how well the whole experience went. With guitars tho its always been a disaster

You mean he got doxxed and his dumbass has beem trying desperately to be relevant ever since. Roman louis grabigel

His technique never fails, you'll get real good after about 3 changes.

nah the weaboo troll isn't Roman Grabigel, I know that for sure.

First thing I did, tried all the combinations I could think of. Nothing that matches

Just impulse bought this budget made in taiwan 80s purple shred memeshit on reverb, do I have autism?

>I know that for sure.
so intelligent

It's backwards

They were made under several different names, Broadway being one for a wholesaler out of NYC. I wish I could remenber the other names, I came across it researching another guitar I found and was curious about, but that was a good while ago.

>yamaha
Not bad lefty.

So, is it a legit SGC Nanyo? Not some Korean knock-off or anything?

Thanks for the info anyway, gonna try to find out more about it

Yeah they're real, they were made in Japan and Korea.

Post things you want

What do you guys do when you're about to get together with a new band for the first time? I'm about to head to our first practice and I'm nervous, even though the music is simple.

talent
to not have adhd

...

oh good ones

Thanks, knowing that they actually made guitars will definitely help finding out the exact history of this one

Who here /good ear/?

...

Can someone explain to me surf scales? Is it just harmonic minor or is there something else I’m missing?

clyp.it/2ytjjbb4

>is there something else I’m missing?
yes, practice

...

i have taht on amplitube

...

>many years ago
we're getting old /gg/

...

>talent
>to not have adhd
are you me

Bumperoni

...

exactly. plus you get to test and use any pickups you want, combined with any custom electronics and shit. I bought an 80 dollar affinity strat, blocked off the trem, upgraded the pickups to affordable custom handwound flat-pole pickups, and fixed the setup, and now I have a pretty sweet jazz machine. I added a few extra options with two push-pull pots so I have parallel, out of phase, in phase, and series combinations

I'll take mine in blue, please. White pickguard

cool, thought about doing this but I've never seen it done. I feel like I'd pick a favorite spot and just leave it there though.

I thought talent usually came with ADHD. I have ADHD and I'm pretty talented. wouldn't give up adhd because I'm pretty sure that's what makes me good at music

The allure of the single pickup guitar...

I must have gotten ADHD lite because all I get out of it is being bored of practicing five minutes in.

sweet
I have my eye on one of these, not just for gypsy jazz but as a versatile acoustic guitar with solid volume and a good cutout. Maybe I'll buy in a couple years.

>Gibson will go bankrupt this summer

Good fucking riddance.

post you playing jazz

maybe, i get super autistic when I'm doing my homwork. been playing all afternoon and haven't gotten shit done

warmoth, eewwwwwwww

even if you're a gibson hater, there's really nothing good that will come of the entire field of guitars if they go down. I'm sort of ambivalent of the brand, but their death could knock off Guitar Center with them and solidify the whole self-fulfilling prophecy that guitar music is dead.

...

of course i wouldn't "give up" ADHD because that's impossible, it's a part of me, but god damnit
the desperation of being unable to sit down and get shit done is fucking up my mind
sometimes i do feel the way you do though, because i am able to """"hyperfocus"""" (i hate that meme idk why i use it) on making music and it's a glorious feeling to get a lot of shit done in a short period of time

i need to get a prescription for meds but i hate going to the doctor so i keep putting it off

btw im not the user you're replying to

pls no bully, haven't played guitar in a while and my cheap strat needs fixing. first take here
vocaroo.com/i/s0ahiGs7N5uM

>i need to get a prescription for meds but i hate going to the doctor
make an effort and go. maybe the ritalin induced brain cancer can give you some genius creative insights

nice, how long have you been playing?

...

depends on what you mean by "playing". I think my neighbor lent me an acoustic for a few months about 5 years ago, then a couple years after that I bought a walmart acoustic for 10 bucks at an estate sale. Got this affinity strat about 2.5 years ago, but I started playing bass somewhere in there and that's a lot more fun that guitar desu so it gets more attention.

>the ritalin induced brain cancer
lmao what
on an interesting side note methylphenidate has been used to improve cognition and mood on patients with brain tumors

To the cunt that just bought the esp 400 series strat. Go eat a dick lil nigga!

>trying to increase gibson sales by forcing a breaking point
nice try h. juszkiewicz

Thoughts on my mockup?

>soon

Should I get pic related or a MIM strat?

Esquire and a Roland Jazz Chorus

who the fuck cares if guitar center goes out of business?
