melodeath sucks

median age of this thread: 15

Criminally underrated

youtu.be/wb0HWnOnprU

I haven't been digging for a few weeks though

>cover
Fuck, this genre is so cringeworthy. Uncreative pointless riffing, and the worst most ubiquitous aesthetic musically and image wise. A bunch of losers pretending to act like they are manly.

>it's the anti-metal autist again

DEMONISEEEEEEEEEEER

youtube.com/watch?v=Mdhc4hJ9x9w

shoo shoo!

>holy
>metal
Huh, I guess metalfags aren't even hiding their Christianity now.

I even think it's historically important. I never get asmr tingles ever except in Valhalla when he sings I Belooooong

Maybe I just don't really listen to that kind of singing. I never listen to opera so maybe it does just push into that boundary. I really don't listen to much Judas Priest either but I've heard a few albums.

fuck off tripfaggot

Make me

Were any of you ever surprised that indie rock beat out metal during the old Sup Forums days which led to metal being in a general like this? Indie rock has so many more diverse sounds, styles, and approaches to it than metal does.

no one cares dude

>"hey, cancer is a great name for a death/thrash band"
>look it up
>already exists
fuck

Or did it just suck away all the hipster fags who only enjoying metal during their 'Phase'?

I'm sure once the next big thing is blowing up they'll jump ship once again.

This is who /metal/ wishes they were. But funny enough he doesn't even listen to metal, he listens to techno.

I mean, when people grow up they do tend to have their tastes mature as well.

I wonder if your dubs mean that Kancer is still available

kill yourself tripfag

Well it can be a fine line between sacrifice and suicide

not tru

Obviously but it's easy to separate who enjoyed the Music for y'know - THE MUSIC and those who liked the idea of being a 'Metalhead'.

I know plenty of people that were all Black Metal / Vikings during their earlier teenage years, then jumped over to Indie Rock and now they've moved on to Death Grips / Memerap.

Bandwagoners gonna bandwagon but I feel like a lot of us will still be here supporting Metal we love and posting on here in years to come.

It's taoist holy salt you fool.

Doesn't matter anyway, Seska becomes possessed by the dragon god of evil karma later on.

I don't see how teens can't enjoy something for the music. You're just mad that peeps realized that metal sucks and you didn't.
>taoism
Oh that's even less metal though. All that humility isn't really something metal fans have.

Dubs and I buy it on vinyl. Make it cheap.

>Seska Fuzen
>humility
pick one

It's fantasy, not real. Just like any good aspects of metal.

Is Rage Nucleaire worth it for papa worm alone?

It just dropped.

Unequivocally true

Quality post.

Ahem..

The fact that so many forum posts still name Sleep as "the greatest or most significant or most influential" Doom band ever only tells you how far doom metal still is from becoming a serious art. Thrash critics have long recognized that the greatest thrash bands of all times are Sodom and Overkill, who were not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times. Power metal critics rank the highly controversial Manowar over melodic power metal bands who were highly popular in stadiums around Europe. Doom critics are still blinded by dude weed lmao. Sleep smoked more dope than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore they must have been the greatest. Thrash critics grow up listening to a lot of thrash metal of the past, power metal critics grow up listening to a lot of power metal of the past. Doom fans are often totally ignorant of the doom metal of the past, they barely know the best sellers. No wonder they will think that Sleep did anything worthy of being saved. In a sense, Sleep are emblematic of the status of doom metal as a whole: too much attention paid to drugs (be it weed or LSD) and too little to the merits of real musicians. If somebody composes the most divine music but he doesn't light up a fatty backstage after the gig, a lot of doom metal fans will ignore him. If a major label picks up a musician who is as high as can be but launches her or him worldwide, your average critic will waste rivers of ink on her or him. This is the sad status of doom metal: doom fans are basically publicists working for their local dealers. They simply highlight what product the drug trade wants to make money from

I don't want soaring melodies, dueling guitars, wanky lyrics, synth leads and dragons with my death metal thanks. I'll just keep Heartwork as a memento of what could have been

I mean, you can look at it like its own thing instead of comparing it to death metal with the latter as an arbitrary universal standard, but I guess that's too much open minded liberal thinking for a genre like metal.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Ease up on the decaf there champ

Hey..
there is no dragons in Crimson.
An ambitious narrative concept to it though.

I just can't listen to melodeath anymore, it's too late in the day. You can't go back to a girl playing with her pusy after you've seen a gaggle of chincks vomit worms into a gaped anus.

Nice

What I discovered doing this list was that I have barely listened to Metal/Hard Rock that was made after 2010. Should try to pick that up.
Very nice.

WARSORE

Good

what is this thread even holy shit

Oh so you don't even have an excuse for being retarded.

what do you mean

>being contrarian just for the sake of it
ok, you'll grow up eventually

this is the quality of threads when the average IQ is below 80

>not buying physical media of things you like anyway

>tfw someones favorite genre is something other than thrash or black

Nothing wrong with it, people have different tastes

>every doom metal fan is a stoner
I love doom and I hate drugs. every doom metal fan I know thinks the same. nice projection though
