Will is great, really wish I could find other artists as relatable as him

good album. enemies list is great, except i dont like dweller on the threshold

haven't heard of them. i still love pfb but i'm not that fussed about hanl/giles corey anymore, and pfb has been with the flenser for a few years now. i like the idea of enemies list but i think dan let it go when he got busy with real life so it was never really fulfilled.
still got my no fun shirt ha.

is the 'idea' of enemies list just a DIY depressing-core new england label? are they just letting any sad white guy from Connecticut on there now?

if dan wasn't lazy/preoccupied it could have been a great platform for somewhat antisocial depressive indie home recording musicians (at least those who presented some kind of quality) who'd otherwise have no hope of making connections, getting signed and reaching a wider listener base.
last i checked it didn't seem like he was making any attempt to find new artists so that's a change if it's true.

This and Skeleton Tree are his most depressive albums.

Album name?

Grouper - Ruins

...

Dead Deer is worthwhile too. Alien Observer is too pretty to be sad I feel.

...

It's an EP

i'd say alien observer feels peculiarly happy considering it was written immediately after a breakup. the title track makes me cry like a bitch though.

all of her albums are worthwhile but dragging a dead deer and died in his boat are my other two favorites. those are her more intimate albums, the others are very ambient and experimental.

...

oh this is beautiful as well

...

why are glasses such an integral part of this dumb meme

wtf happened to Sup Forums in like the past year? I move, start at another uni, and soymeme is inescapable on this board. I know it's just the same old autism, but got damn y'all need to calm down

this guy's videos are so much better when he's not playing into stale liberal humor tropes it's not even funny
i like him but he seems like an awful person to be around for some reason

Never ever post that faggot in here ever again.

or else what

youtube.com/watch?v=wbo6GuoieAs

Perils From The Sea - Sun Kil Moon
Riceboy Sleeps - Jonsi & Alex
Etiquette - Casiotone For The Painfully Alone
Delicate - Hello Shark
Songs For A Blue Guitar - Redhouse Painters
Giles Cory - Giles Cory
Among My Swan - Mazzy Star

...

Always

if you've seen him on h3 he seems like a dude with confidence problems. he reminds me of myself as a 16 year old, making everything into sarcasm so my friends wouldn't notice i was miserable and didn't like myself.

soul crusher

Freighthopping feels

>album - artist
oh sweet baby girl what is you doin

I'm just starting to get into this guy.
I used to really dislike this album but then I discovered cold body radiation - deer twilight and now I can't get enough of this kind of music.

On the folkier side I like Boduf Songs - How shadow chase the balance a lot.

I mean... they're cliche for a reason. Most of these are amazing records.

LOVE these.

I got to see him live last year, with a competent band backing him and everything. It was so great.

its different but check out destroyalldreamers

Any recs for depressing ambient like pic related?

This isn't twitter fuck off, I will list how I want to list.

Did he do any cool old songs with a backing band? Like Yip! Jump music, songs of Pain, what of Whom, and don’t Be Scared?

I don't know shit and i don't know if this counts as depressing or even as good absent but I'm in love with Sleep Research Facility - Deep Freeze

Title track is absolutely gorgeous. I haven't kept single songs on repeat since I was in my early teens, but I had that one track on loop for hours every night a few summers ago.

It will die down. Maybe not completely but something else will replace it.

liking them a lot! The sky was glorious for a moment is fantastic.
Thank you user :)

a perfect sonnet is top tier bright eyes

Yeah I love it too. It's really bleak sounding but I didn't find it that depressing personally. Good rec though

Fits the bill t b h.

>if youve never heard nana grizol

best post

good album

This album is the best articulation of depression, from the half-assed instrumentation to the denial and emptiness written into the lyrics. it's the only album that's actually had an impact on my life. In that it made me seriously reconsider my life choices and how I was conducting myself. It honestly should be required listening for any soy/kekistani/manchild that goes to this website. I don't know if everyone will get the same out of it, just my 2 cents.

you had a serious look at your life and reconsidered how you conduct yourself and you're still calling people soys?

i'm just using it as a discriptor that people here would understand, you could sub in (passive liberal millenial with underdeveloped maturity and critical thinking skills)

not to be too disrespectful but daniel just seems like the chris-chan of music. i feel bad for him and love that he was able to put out an artistic statment, but i just can't into it

Already posted pal
