There's barely even a guitar in this picture.

The feet are what matters

Shitstangs are truly for peoplelets

The allure of the tomboy ass...

Well I agree but still.

Well, every single coil guitar is

My squier(yes, i know) has a buzz when I play E open. What's the likely cause of this?

halp

Have you selectively muted strings yet to check for the buzzing strings?

the string and frets

buzzing against the neck? then it's either bridge/action too low (could be caused by a bent neck) or string tension too loose (if you're downtuning use a heavier gauge string).
if it's buzzing against a pickup and the action isn't too low then lower (tighten) the pickup.

What’s up with ESP 48th Street? Thinking about picking one up but more sure if it’s fake or not. Headstock is blank except for ESP carved into the back.

You will never be as talented as live action anime.
youtube.com/watch?v=gHsUaS9r5R8

It's only E
It's against the neck
On closer inspection strumming the string makes a giant as hell vibration, so it only buzzes awhile after it has been strummed I assume that's a tension issue.

You might be able to raise the saddle of the string in question. Otherwise strum lighter or go higher in tension.

The actual correct answer is the nut slot on that string is probably cut too low. I'd interpret this as an opportunity to replace the nut with a self-lubricating TUSQ XL nut, which will greatly increase your tuning stability.

Will I ever be gud

>no bridge pickup
I feel sick, bros.

Did you start after age 8? No, sorry

What if started age 8, gave up at 12 and just started again at 20?

You might be able to play at a BBQ if you put in some dedicated practice over the next 3 years

...

Good intermediate songs to get me past the stage of just playing basic chords?
I was thinking Day Tripper cause of the barre cords and riff type stuff

Does anyone use putty to secure their pedals? Getting fed up with Velcro.

Here is a picture btw you might want to use in the future for these threads.

where my dogs at

I bet the new money Chinese love that shit.

Handcrafted Chinkson made by master luthier Wong Fang

>anime girls
>guitar
Is there anything more cringeworthy?

nope

Your reaction image is more cringeworthy, at least anime girls aren't hideous

Yeah, people using the word "cringeworthy"

If you still can't play barre chords cleanly than just play songs with a lot of those

You are a disgusting weeb who learned guitar because of a meme anime. You are nothing but a degenerate secondary.

>he chose the basic bitch retort
lmao

then*, fuck my mistake

I'm trying to learn something Ted Greene played but the finger placements are annoying. I keep fucking up, either hitting bum notes or not fretting the chord properly. How do I get better at this? I just want to get to a point where I can play it all the way through without a mistake

Just keep at it.

Yeah but there must be something wrong I'm doing. Even when I'm playing something easier like I'll see you in my dreams I make the same silly mistakes, and I've been playing that for a long time.

choose best

lads please help, bought a cheap jaguar with a tom bridge and whenever I play a d string it adds this pronounced metallic overtone/ping to the note which sounds unpleasant, can anyone tell me what's up? I have very little experience with these guitars.

maybe a rattling or poorly cut saddle. Put some blue loctite on that shit.

How much do I have to know to be able to competently repair guitars and/or be able to teach it to other people?
A small local community college posted a part time supplementary faculty position to teach a guitar repair class over the summer and I'm thinking about at least applying.
I've been playing acoustic and electric guitar consistetly for ~10 years now and consider myself pretty knowledgeable in general, though I've mostly played and haven't really delved into the more technical/mechanical aspects of the instrument like I've never done something such as rebuilding a guitar from the ground up or dicking around with wiring, etc though I'm sure if I ever did need to I would just look up the resources online.
I figure for a lot of the class I can just maybe pick up beater guitars for cheap research what's wrong with them and fix them up on my own, then show the people in the class how I did that.
According to the application, no teaching experience is necessary, though I have a humanities degree and consider myself a good speaker, plus I've been told by many people in my life that I'd make a good teacher. I'd be working with mostly adults and people from "diverse backgrounds" which I'm totally comfortable with, and $35+/hr only 20hrs/wk during the summer sounds amazing desu
idk, what does /gg/ think?

>what does /gg/ think?
Even on Sup Forums I try to be polite but I think you're an idiot for even considering this. You have no experience on the subject and learning to repair instruments isn't as easy as it might sound like. At all. You can't just read how it's done and assume you know how to do it in practice, let alone teach others. Changing pickups and general maintenance isn't hard but there are so many quirks and pitfalls that you can quickly ruin a guitar, if you don't know what you're doing. Most of the tools are also special.

Don't unless you don't mind being a shit teacher who knows nothing about your respective lessons (literally almost every teachers are like this in my country)

If you don't want to be a shit teacher, take actually practical instruments repairing courses in your area (if there are any). If it doesn't exist, well you can ask for apprenticeships/lessons with local luthier or whatever but I dunno how long before you're in acceptable skill level to teach others, but this is assuming that the luthier will accept/teach you for money in the first place

Can you live with teaching others how to do things inccorrectly and ruining their lives and money

Most teachers are like that so it just depends on muh moral Sam

If you put in the time and effort you can do anything you do anything that you work at. Yeah shit is easier to learn when you're young, but unless you're retarded it's not impossible. My fifty year old friend started learning Japanese 6 years ago and is basically fluent now.
Never give up user.

Japanese doesn't require fast, precise movement.

>If I build up speed I can forego actual phrasing

Plain maple > flamed maple

well if I do end up giving this a shot of course I wouldn't just read about it and walk into the lesson like I know what I'm talking about, I'd obv put time, $, and energy into doing it myself beforehand. I've done plenty of quick and easy set ups on my own and other guitars. The most difficult part about these trades are learning the technical language and being comfortable communicating with other people using that, and I've already more than familiar with that aspect
i do agree I'm an idiot for even considering this btw, literally the only reason I am is because in the job posting it seems like their expectations are not high at all, it seems like a temp position to cover for the regular guy while he takes summer vacation. they don't mention anything about having even touched a guitar until halfway down the qualifications/experience sectionon the job posting, where all it says is "Have a sound knowledge and understanding of guitar design and construction, common problems with guitars and how to fix and/or repair them, both acoustic and electric.
Basic knowledge in trouble-shooting problems with instruments. Diagnosing trouble correctly and applying correct solutions." all of which I feel pretty confident doing already
>>Don't unless you don't mind being a shit teacher who knows nothing about your respective lessons
meh
also meh, its a super cheap school and only a 6 week summer course only meeting for 3hrs/week, you vastly overestimate the damage I can do
>like 90% teachers aren't fucking awful anyway
and the reason why most teachers are shit isn't because of a lack of technical knowledge I'll tell you that

if anything I'll go into the interview and be real and upfront about it, if they're desperate enough or feel that my qualifications are fine they'll take me on and I'm sure I have the ability to be at least competent, if there's someone better that they interview then I have no problems with not getting the job over them

Man I wish I knew just how keen people were for old transistors to use in pedals a few years ago. Had a shift where we disposed of old stock this research company had. Literal buckets of transistors straight into the bin.

This anime chick is for stricly for sex in the every kind of postition

Do note that setup and repair are two different things. You also don't learn anything by doing it once or even twice. For example here in Finland guitar repairmen usually have either graduated from luthier school or have had years of experience as apprentices. I've built one guitar and even simple things like leveling frets takes a lot of studying, preparations and practice. The most difficult part about building or repairing instruments isn't learning technical terms but accumulation enough knowledge not to break anything, know what you're going to do and then meticulously developing your hand coordination to actually use the tools properly. You also need to know how to build tools and jigs yourself, because half of the stuff you need isn't sold anywhere or is ridiculously expensive.

folow your heart, user

you already have everything you need.

Speed is the most important factor of guitar playing. If you have no speed you are nothing.

How often do you change your guitar strings

Every 3 months. But I can tell they're going bad after a month.

She is a midget ESL kun, she isn't engineered for sex like Mio
Fair point

Fuck Mio.
I want the ESL girl baby.

N-n-n-n-n-n-nice to meet you, I'm your new bassist starting from today. L-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-let's get along!

You're fired.
Don't need a beta female in my band

I don't need a stuttering bassist.

This.
How can she keep time in the songs when she can't even keep time when talking?

You are also my wife starting from today, I hope your hymen is ready for my lovemaking tonight.

Ahem she's just shy user, let's give her the chance to prove what she can do

She's gone by tomorrow. :|

She's already 27 years old this year user, big chances that she was already fucked by some chad in college. That chad is me

>K-ON's utopian friendship-microcosm fulfills modern Japan's(and as an extension those of overseas fans) desire for a nearly lost form of simple connection with others, its subtler depiction of growth and change, along with espousing pointless conversation for its own sake slightly elevates the slice of life genre in terms of artfulness. Also, people in Japan think about anime very very srsly.

Well said, the first and second season of K-ON are the perfect mix of friendships, idiocy, cutesy, coolness, instrument porn, slice of life, and just enough otaku pandering. While the movie's pandering feels like being cute for the sake of being cute similar to newer generic CGDCT

Dull finish and burst makes a quilt more palatable.

actually now that i think about it, maybe i'll just enroll in the class myself when its offered lmao

coincidentially, that guitar is ass too

>wheredoyouthinkyouare.bat

my nigga

nothing makes that puke green more palatable

Guys I ordered a Dark Star V2 but I think I got the original one, how do I tell which one I got I cant find much info online

On Sup Forums. Not /moeshit/ aka Sup Forums.

If you want to animepost, at least do good anime like BECK. K-on is fucking garbage.

>If you want to animepost, at least do good anime like BECK. K-on is fucking garbage.
This is how I know that you are 14 years old

24 actually. You are ten years off but that's what happens when your braincells die from watching too much K-on. Oh well.

This is a much better idea.

Your best bet is just contacting OBNE on social media. Most of the pedal brands are good about getting back to people quickly.

What guitar should I get if I like stoner/doom, while still good for metal all around? The sort of bands like Boris, Kyuss, Candlemass, Earth, The Sword have the tone that I'm leaning towards. I was looking at something like an Epiphone Les Paul or SG, or something similar, my max budget is probably £400, since it's a secondary guitar. Would the Les Paul be a better choice if I want it to be a metal axe? The SG seems to be less heavy. My main guitar is a single coil Fender.

What amp do you have?

The allure of uno pickup de la cabronita especiale...

A Vox Valvetronix Modelling amp, I'm looking to upgrade from it, or I might just go the Guitar Rig route, if only I knew about GR before buying a modelling amp.

>Future meme.
>Swamp Thing finish.
>Matte.
>Clashing fret dots.
Jesus Christ, what a fucking mess.

Definitely something with humbuckers, id stay away from epiphone tho, you can do a lot better with 400 quid

la creatura..

never mind I'm retarded, after actually looking into it, the V2 has an expression pedal input which mine has all good, thanks though

Should I go for something Les Paul-esque, over SG to get that really thick, heavy sound? Is the Epiphone SG PRO of higher quality than an Epiphone Les Paul Standard? What are better options for £400 if I don't go Epiphone?

It looks like Tyrone's vomit

Someone may disagree with me but the body style isn't going to impact the sound as much as the pickups will. I'd go from there

Yeah both gits can pack the same crap. It's mostly a stylistic choice, although the market tends to produce "classic" LPs and "aggressive" SGs to accommodate these styles.

I don't get it. Why can't you divide the 6/8 measure into two beats?

show headstock

It has basically zero impact on the sound frankly on a solid body. Same with wood. Pups, bridge, and overall setup quality are the only thing that matters besides amp.

Uh, I dont think there is one fella. That's a hipshot headless system iirc. Though you may just be trolling me softly.

Can all you faggots leave please, Moot's dead and this isn't a primarily based anime site anymore
