I don't think I'm him but another good Austin band are Institute. They're more like anarcho/post-punk but they're really good and share a couple members with Glue.

Yeah, radio has been slowly making the switch from pop dance songs, to sadder more adolescent focused shit . Even tho I really don't like them, bands like 21 pilots started to shift things on the radio
