you guys think punk is only dead cause everyone cares about and only remember the old bands ? i know alot of new modern punk bands but i think punk's dead cause people only look at the old and not the new
You guys think punk is only dead cause everyone cares about and only remember the old bands...
If homie from the punk thread I was talking about Glue with shows up, what was the other band from the same area you said was also good?
I don't think I'm him but another good Austin band are Institute. They're more like anarcho/post-punk but they're really good and share a couple members with Glue.
Any good old jersey punk bands?
Noice I'll check em out.
Is it just me or is punk starting to become "in" again?
I'm with you there, I give it a few more years before it's in full swing
I think its starting to enter full swing. All the normies I know like pop punk, all the hipsters like post-punk, and a few days ago I saw some psychedelic stoner bro rocking a jacket patched with a bunch of 80s and 90s hardcore bands. Its the weirdest shit and I love it.
punk is dead. Punk was dead even when i was a kid and the mainstream wasnt ubiquitous want garbage nigger music.
When i was a kid nofx and green day was punk.
Pop punk was the final fucking stage, it was the complete oppiste of what punk was suppused to be. It was the anti thesis. Post punk was the synthesis and punk was the thesis
And what are young people into today? Meme rap or some soy boy indie faggot.
The new punk bands bring nothing new to the fucking table, thats why no one cares.
Cool story bro
Yeah, radio has been slowly making the switch from pop dance songs, to sadder more adolescent focused shit . Even tho I really don't like them, bands like 21 pilots started to shift things on the radio
Yeah even soundcloud rap is indicative of that music is heading that direction.
yee
rap is going thru the same process that rock went thru in the past 20 years. It moved from professionals in a studio to some kid rapping into a $40 mic. Not hating or anything, cause that shit slaps hard
>Not hating or anything, cause that shit slaps hard
cringe
...
doesnt mean punk gay fagboy in prison
people like that?
...
>tfw don't live in DC
Why even live?
Not only is punk alive in the era of Drumph, this album is more relevant than ever.
Alt right is the new punk
From all the documentaries I've seen about punk they all paint punk as really toxic. Music that targets the most vulnerable people in society and tells them to give up hope. Reminds me of all the punk kids at my school that threw their lives away for some shitty fashion statement and retarded nihilistic philosophy.
>watches one Jordan Peterson lecture
For some reason I am just now discovering this album...
liquids is good. so is sick thoughts.
Ikr and sick thoughts goes hard also
